瑞恩·侯兹（Ryan Holtz）曾经是Mojang Studios的游戏开发员，曾致力于开发Minecraft的渲染引擎。他被Mojang应聘的消息是在2013年11月2日的Minecon 2013 “Future of Minecraft”展台宣布的。[11]他在Mojang办公室的第一天是2013年11月18日。[13]
个人经历[]
Holtz来自纽约水牛城。[14]早在他十几岁的时候，他被诊断患上自闭症。他说他“根据阿斯伯格综合症患者的新标准DSM-V，在技术上确诊为‘自闭症1级’”。[15]
Holtz毕业于州立东田纳西大学计算机科学系，[1]从2005年起就进入游戏开发行业。[11]他的游戏开发生涯开始于EA Tiburon，在那里他参与制作超人归来；后来他又在动视的Vicarious Visions参与制作Guitar Hero系列。[1][16]
Holtz在Minecraft 论坛以UltraMoogleMan网名发布了很多Mod，并因此颇有名气。他的Mod制作引发了与Markus Persson的讨论——Markus Persson想提升Minecraft的世界高度，那时的高度限制为128。[17]
2015年1月29日，Holtz在他的推特页面问大家斯德哥尔摩有没有正在招聘员工的游戏工作室。[18]推文没有明示这是真事还是玩笑，但Mojang Support网站的employees page已不再将他标记为游戏开发人员。
2015年2月8日，Mojang证实Holtz已不是其员工[19]，但还没有发表正式的布告。
2015年4月1日，Holtz宣布他被King雇用开发Candy Crush Soda Saga。[20]第二天他又说明了那不是愚人节玩笑。[21]
