紅石更新(Redstone Update)為一次計劃中的主要更新,版本號為1.5。1.5的開發在Minecraft PC團隊[1]MineCon 2012期間發布未來特性的公告以及Mod API的未來主題演講後隨之展開[1]

截止到目前,自13w01a13w07a以來共發布9次每週快照。Mojang也宣布工作的重心從新特性的開發轉至錯誤的修復。Mojang可能在幾週內發布紅石更新的預發布版本,並將在2013年3月上旬發布。[2]

計劃做出的改變

常規

  • 重寫繪製引擎
    • 繪製提升
    • 需要更高級的OpenGL特性設定
      • 這將導致一些過時的硬體和瀕臨淘汰的硬體無法參與遊戲
    • 全局繪製速度加快,進而增加FPS數。[3][4]
  • '光照引擎改進

遊戲內容

  • 加入計分板系統
    • 旨在為地圖作者和伺服器管理員提供便捷。
      • 適合PVP伺服器。
    • 透過使用/scoreboard指令或者指令方塊進行觸發 。
    • 計分板可以用來統計死亡訊息、玩家擊殺其他玩家數、玩家殺敵數以及玩家使用指令的次數。
    • 為一整套包含名稱、顯示名稱、準則、以及玩家對應資料的複合系統。
    • 包含自訂名稱顏色,友軍開火選項以及玩家和隊伍之間切換等團隊功能。
    • 在玩家姓名標籤下顯示分數
  • 物品欄的改進
    • 雙擊物品會儘可能地堆疊該物品。
    • 拖拽堆疊的物品可以進行分離。
    • 在該格未被占用時,使用滑鼠右鍵拖拽物品可以在該格內放置一個該物品。
    • 在物品合成區域⇧ Shift+ 雙擊物品可以將所有物品移至物品欄。
    • ⇧ Shift+ 雙擊可堆疊物品可以將所有該物品的其他堆疊移至物品欄該區域。
    • 當滑鼠懸停至物品欄或某一容器內的某一物品上時按Q可以丟棄該物品。
    • 手持盔甲可以透過右鍵裝備。
  • 改進的死亡訊息顯示
    • 現包括死因, 玩家殺死了另一玩家以及所持武器的名稱.

方塊與物品

  • 加入紅石比較器
    • 基於電容器的創意
    • 合成原料包括3個紅石火把,1個地獄石英以及3個石頭
    • 外觀與中繼器類似,但有2個輸入端
      • 如果輸入A的強度大於或等於B,輸出有兩種可能:與A相等,或是A與B強度之差。
        • 兩種輸出可用右鍵切換
      • 如果輸入A的強度小於B,無輸出。

    • 合成原料包括5個鐵錠與1個儲物箱

  • 加入投擲器
    • 合成原料包括7個鵝卵石與1個紅石粉
    • 紅石驅動型方塊,外觀以及作用都與發射器類似,除了:
      • 投擲器會把所有物品都原樣以掉落物形式丟出來,而發射器的話會把投射物,例如箭、蛋等發射出去。[7]
