Endless circling pools, also known as AFK pools, will let the player or any player-sized mob that gets in the water circle endlessly around the center. Most servers prevent players from being idle for too long by kicking them after 15 minutes or more. Even if you use the AFK command (if the plugin is installed), you will still be kicked, so some players make "AFK Pools" to prevent being kicked.

Construction

Endless circling pool

An AFK pool

Material: At least 15 blocks (like stone bricks), a sign, a water bucket, and a stair or a slab.

S

Note: Darker blocks are 2 blocks high.

Notes

  • The sound that the blocks make may be disturbing the player.
  • The stone bricks can be any solid block.
  • The slab can also be of any type, or it can be stairs with its lower side facing against the flow.
  • The water source block (marked with an S) will flow down, and around to under the sign.
  • These are commonly used for AFK players, because it amuses other players.
  • Sometimes you will stop moving, and will need to manually move the player to start again.
  • After the water is flowing correctly, the sign can usually be removed without making water flow in both directions.
