Zombie villagers can be spawned by zombie spawners and it's much easier doing it this way.
Step 5. Dig at least 2 blocks below the hole, then make a way of entry.
Step 6. Place some cobblestone in front of the hole. On the other end of it, place a 漏斗.
Step 7. Get rid of the stone & place a Chest instead.
Step 8. Brew 2 Splash Potions of Weakness and get 2 non-enchanted Golden Apples.
Step 9. Whenever a Zombie Villager comes out, quickly seal it off, then cure them by throwing them the potion and feeding them the apple. Wait for awhile, then it will come out as a normal Villager, repeat this step at least once.
Step 10. After you have the villagers make a room and place a lot of doors everywhere and they will breed.

Check out Village Blueprints for more buildings that naturally spawn in villages. The page gives you a layer-by-layer instruction page for each house/shop, such as butcher shops.
Breeding Huts
Easy to make buildings that can make your villagers multiply quite a lot. They do, however, look kind of unsightly, but you can easily fix that by sprucing it up a bit.
- Make a 5x5x5 cube out of your building material.
- Hollow out the center
- Make some holes for windows, and a 2 high hole to slide in a door.
- Decorate the building if that grabs your fancy.
- Fatten up your villagers on bread
- Watch all the kids run about the place.
Another way to do this in the PC and Xbox 360 versions follows.
- Make a 5x5 square, with walls, out of your building material.
- Place 1 door, then a line of cobble, then another door for the entrance.
- Transform two Zombie Villagers back into villagers.
At night, the villagers will go inside and breed.
Tips
- Mix in mossy cobble with cobble for an old look. Similarly, mixing mossy and cracked variations of stone brick with normal stone brick gives that old look.
- To make it look even older, "destroy" parts of a building.
- Mine out most of a building and spread these blocks out along the ground.
- A tree in the middle of a wreckage makes the area look yet older: the larger, the longer it looks like its been destroyed for.
- Adding vines and slabs makes the place look more customized. You can stop the vines growing by placing a button on the place you want it to stop. Buttons look almost invisible mixed in with other rock.
- Alternatively, for a fresh-looking destruction, netherrack sunk with ground level, set on fire, and no mossy blocks or plants (but yes to cracked blocks!) make the place look like the disaster took place minutes ago.
- You might want to use a resource pack to make the place look even older.
- For an easy ruin, build your village (or if you're not lazy, find one), make sure it has a villager in every house (the best way to do this is to block off the door once a villager enters), and then spawn a Wither. Wait - did I say easy? Once the Wither is spawned, it will destroy anything blocking it from flying (spawn it in a building for bonus carnage). Wait until most of the village is damaged and then kill it. This works because the Wither attacks all living, and undead, things. If you don't want to fight it, build Iron Golems one at a time to kill it. TNT works too, and causes some fitting craters. You can also change the game to Peaceful to despawn the Wither if you are in single player with hardcore off.
