A woodland mansion is a very rare structure found only in the Roofed Forest biome. It is the only place where the Vindicator, Evoker (and by association, Vex) mobs naturally spawn.

Generation

Woodland mansions generate very rarely in roofed forest biomes, often appearing tens of thousands of blocks away from the origin. They can be located with woodland explorer maps, which are bought from cartographer villagers with emeralds.

Structure

Because it is generated randomly, the exact structure of a mansion varies. All woodland mansions have these in common: they typically have 2-3 floors, with a wide variety of different rooms, and generate a cobblestone foundation underneath the entire structure (much as a village house does). The top floor is always a bit smaller than the floor or floors below. A large foyer and a winding maze of corridors are also present in all mansions.

Rooms

There are many different types of rooms in a woodland mansion. Not all rooms are readily accessible - some have sealed entrances, others have no entrances at all. Not every type of room may exist in a single woodland mansion, as the interior is randomly generated.

One may access the individual structures of a woodland mansion by utilizing structure blocks to manually load room structures from the structures folder in minecraft.jar. To do so, set a structure block to Load mode, enter "Mansion/StructureName", and press LOAD. A list of possible rooms, the names of these structures, and small descriptions are provided in the table below:

Trading
Novice-level farmer villagers sell 6 bread for one emerald as part of their trades. java they only have a 40% chance of offering this trade.

Villager gifts
Farmer villagers may use wheat they have harvested to craft bread, which they can trade with other villagers.

Farmer villagers may throw bread at players under the Hero of the Village effect.java

Usage
Food
Bread can be eaten with the use control while it is selected in the hotbar. Eating bread restores 5 hunger and 6.0 hunger saturation.

Breeding
Villagers can pick up bread items to become willing, allowing them to breed. Villagers require 3 bread to become willing.

Composting
Placing bread into a composter has an 85% chance of raising the compost level by 1. It is more efficient to compost wheat than bread made from wheat.

A pitcher pod is an ancient bulbous seed that has a chance to be dropped by sniffers when they finish digging. It is the seed for Pitcher Plants.

Obtaining
Sniffers occasionally bury their nose in the ground and start digging. Once the sniffer has finished digging, one pitcher pod has a chance to be dropped on the floor as an item.

Sniffers can only dig for pitcher pods in the following blocks:
*Dirt
*Grass Block
*Podzol
*Coarse Dirt
*Rooted Dirt
*Moss Block
*Mud
*Muddy Mangrove Roots
They cannot dig for pitcher pods on mycelium.

Usage
Pitcher Crop
Pitcher pods can be placed on farmland by using, where they grow through three stages as a pitcher crop.

Breaking the crop before it matures drops the pitcher pod, while breaking the final stage produces a pitcher plant and does not yield the pod. Pitcher crops break if pushed by a piston or if their supporting farmland breaks or turns to dirt (i.e. by being trampled), dropping their usual drops.

Farmer villagers can plant pitcher pods, but cannot harvest them once they have fully grown.

Feeding
Pitcher pods can be used to breed chickens and reduce the remaining growth duration of and chicks by 10%.

Taming
Pitcher pods can be used to tame parrots.
