A weighted pressure plate is a block similar in function to regular pressure plates, except only items can activate them, and the number of items on the plate determines the strength of the redstone signal emitted. The weighted pressure plate comes in 2 variants, a light version (gold) and a heavy version (iron).

The light version emits a stronger redstone current for every 4 blocks thrown upon it. It reaches maximum signal when it has 57 items (7 items short of a full stack) upon it.

The heavy version emits a stronger redstone current for every item stack thrown upon it. It reaches maximum signal when it has 598 items (9 full stacks + 22 items) upon it.

The following table will show how many items should be on pressure plate to output a signal of certain strength:

Signal strength Gold plate Iron plate (Blocks) Iron plate (Stacks)
1 1 - 4 1 - 42 1 block - 42 blocks
2 5 - 8 43 - 85 43 blocks - 1 stack 21 blocks

Torchflower seeds are seeds that have a chance to be dropped by sniffers when they finish digging.

Obtaining
Sniffers will occasionally bury their nose in the ground and start digging. Once the sniffer has finished digging, one torchflower seed will have a chance to be dropped on the floor as an item.

Sniffers can only dig for torchflower seeds in the following blocks:
*Dirt
*Grass Block
*Podzol
*Coarse Dirt
*Rooted Dirt
*Moss Block
*Mud
*Muddy Mangrove Roots
They cannot dig for torchflower seeds on mycelium, which is intended.

Usage
Crop
Torchflower seeds can be placed on farmland, where they grow through three stages. Breaking the torchflower crop before it matures drops the seed, while breaking the final stage produces one torchflower and does not yield the seed.

Crops break if pushed by a piston or if their supporting farmland breaks or turns to dirt (i.e. by being trampled), dropping their usual drops.

Farmer villagers can plant torchflower seeds, but cannot harvest them after they have fully grown.

Feeding
Torchflower seeds can be used to breed sniffers and chickens and reduce the remaining growth duration of snifflets and chicks by 10%. Also, if some torchflower seeds were fed to an injured sniffer, it will heal it by 2 health points.

Taming
Torchflower seeds can be used to tame parrots.

Composting
Placing torchflower seeds into a composter has a 30% chance of raising the compost level by 1.

Trivia
* The final growth stage of the torchflower crop uses the same ID as the actual torchflower. This causes some side effects, such as the plant becoming offset and randomly jumping to the side.

Added weighted pressure plates.

Bugs

 • Sometimes the Iron Pressure plate will turn on and off rapidly when you put items on it, this is thought to be because items sort of "jump" when items form a stack. Conditions uncertain.
 • The Iron and Gold Pressure plate makes the wood noise for breaking and placing, even though they are made of metal.

Trivia

 • The pressure plates have the texture of iron and gold blocks. This is most noticeable with the 4 stripes on the iron pressure plate.
 • They are also able to be put on fences and can be used as a fake gold/iron block.
 • The density of gold is nearly two and a half times that of iron, yet it is used to craft the Light Weighted Pressure Plate. However "Light" does not refer to the weight of the plate itself, but how much additional weight is required to get the maximum current.
