Looking For Minecraft Files
Is there a specific way to navigate minecraft files? I know where very few files are located, mainly files that help with texture packs and small mods but I am looking for more specific files.
I am searching for the minecraft files that hold the java script inside them. I would like to find and edit a few scripts to attempt to change some things. For instance, the boat.. I would love to make the physics of the boat and steering much better, where could I find this script/file? I have located the .png, but that is of no use. --Throex 18:25, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
- Use MCP and JDK to decompile your minecraft jar into files that are in Java rather than Jibberish. You can find this sort of information on the forums and using google --HexZyle 05:44, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, I found both of those programs but have no experience in java coding at all. Guess I will have to learn as I go. Really want to start making a small mod to help myself learn. I hate tutorials, I like to just mess and edit the code and see what happens, thats how I teach myself. Just through trial and error. Thanks for the info though. --Throex 18:25, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
Problem with the Sidebar?
I noticed in your screenshot http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/File:D2.png that you still have the sidebar that covers 20% of the right hand side of your page. If this is annoying for you I can fix it for you. --HexZyle 06:18, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
- I have noticed a few vector.java codes around the Wiki and actually set on up at one point, but I didn't want to lose the "recent articles" section. I could careless about the mojang twitter feed but I don't use the forums at all but at the same time I just enjoy the Digital Diamond and other videos/post they put up there so I removed it. I cba to go to the forums to check, so if it is possible to take away the AD/Mojang feed then I would love the help in getting rid of those. If there a way to possible make the recent articles smaller? Smaller font, box and such? --Throex 18:27, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
- Also, anyway you could teach me how to make a siggy? One for my t/c pages in it and maybe a color added to it? I just don't understand java and have even tried to do this myself. Also, I played around for vector.js the other day and couldn't really figure much out. haha, I am a java nub. --Throex 18:34, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
- Have a look here for some ideas. P.S. I used calinou's and TheKax's signature as the base for mine, just edited a bit of the code. Play around with it for a bit, you'll figure out what all the commands mean. -->>HexZyle<< TALK|CONT 19:50, 10 October 2011 (UTC)~
