Locate command?[]

How do you know that the command not working is a bug? Maybe it is just an unused command. The BlobsPaper 19:49, 7 December 2016 (UTC)

I was just putting that idea in the coversation.--SamGamgee55 (talk) 20:10, 7 December 2016 (UTC)

User profile linking[]

You can link to MCPE server software on your profile, as wikicode works there just like a regular page. Maethoredhel (tcLogs) 20:23, 9 January 2017 (UTC)

Didn't know that. Thanks!--SamGamgee55 (talk) 20:25, 9 January 2017 (UTC)SamGamgee55

Creating pages[]

Can you explain why you start with blank pages? The BlobsPaper 01:00, 2 February 2017 (UTC)

I start with a blank page because I prefer using the visual editor rather than the source editor. For talk pages, I start blank so the topic I create will have a title.--SamGamgee55 (talk) 03:58, 2 February 2017 (UTC)

You can include a section header manually when creating a talk page. The add topic button should also be there even if the page doesn't exist. The BlobsPaper 04:07, 2 February 2017 (UTC)

USB tutorial[]

Is the Windows guide there not applicable to Mac and Linux? The Mac and Linux guides you added seem very long-winded and bodgey if you could just use the workDir command instead.

Mac and Linux use different file systems, so I'm not too sure if the portable 2.0 launcher guide you added would work on UNIX-like systems. Also some people out there might still use the old launcher.--SamGamgee55 (talk) 22:18, 24 March 2018 (UTC)
You're right in saying they're both completely different to Windows, however, I highly doubt the workDir parameter is specific to the Windows launcher. And sure, people might use the old version, but that fact shouldn't reduce the quality of a guide written assuming people are using the latest version of everything. No other wiki page supports old versions (unless the article just hasn't been updated in a long time, as was the case here), so this one shouldn't either. ―HalfOfAKebab (talk, contribs) 22:22, 24 March 2018 (UTC)
Just checked on the web and you were right, the workDir parameter is usable on Unix-type systems. On another note, I will make another page about the guide for legacy launchers.--SamGamgee55 (talk) 06:19, 25 March 2018 (UTC)
