Further vs. Farther[]
In this edit to Spawner, you changed "further" to "farther" with an edit summary that claims a semantic difference between the two. I didn't revert it because I actually prefer it the way you left it, but your reasoning is controversial. "Farther" and "further" have historically been used interchangeably in all contexts, according to Merriam-Wester Dictionary. There is a modern trend toward distinguishing them on the basis of distance, but it's not physical distance vs. temporal or metaphorical distance, it's any of those vs. other notions of distance such as progress through a series of steps. (And incidentally, that change has only been noted in their use as adverbs, not adjectives.) Changes such as you made are examples of substituting your preferred style for someone else's, which is regarded as disrespectful if both are considered standard.
By the way, since this is your first edit, I assume you're new to the Minecraft Wiki. If so, welcome! You might like to look at my user page for some handy links to editor tools and guidelines. — Auldrick (talk) 21:40, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
