Food table
The point of having the table in a subpage was to let it be transcluded on both the Food and Hunger pages. Switching to a templatized table is fine, but please keep it so that we don't have to update both pages separately whenever a new food item is added. -- Orthotopetalk 18:45, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, I just noticed that, which means my template will have to be absolute names. --KnightMiner

Double post
Re your edit summary query here, what happened is that I hit save and got an empty page, although apparently the edit did get saved. Then I reloaded and apparently the edit was resubmitted. MediaWiki is supposed to catch that situation, but apparently there is a bug preventing that. Anomie x (talk) 22:24, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
- That makes sense. I have been noticing that it sometimes does not redirect after pressing save. My web browser tells be that it will resend the edit if I reload, so I just manually go to the page after editing. I might need to mention this on the admin notice board. --KnightMiner

Banner properties
Hey, sanoth here. Noticed how you moved the "Properties" section of the banners article and put it after the "Crafting" section. I'd like to avoid this for two reasons:
- The crafting section is so long, lots of people will miss the properties section.
- If you check the sign article (that I tried to form this article after, since they are quite related), you'll notice that the properties section is before the crafting section.
So I'd propose we put properties before crafting. :) What do you think?
--Sanotht|c 21:16, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
- I was going based on the style guide's "Intro, Obtaining, Usage, Other sections, ect." I would be fine with it moving back, but this is really more of a conversation for the Style guide --KnightMiner
21:24, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
- I think it would be better to discuss it with a few other people first, since it does go against the style guide. Whatever decision is made can then be applied to both articles. --KnightMiner

Fences/Fence Gates
I would like to point your attention over to Module_talk:Grid/Aliases regarding Fences/Fence gates =) Oozebull (talk) 22:13, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
- I was literally just adding those right now. --KnightMiner

Thank you very much!
I was going crazy with this, and I was looking for documentation about dpl without success. --Trarsheise ►Discusión◄►Contribuciones◄ 03:21, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
- You are welcome, I noticed the language links were added and stopped by to check how the translation was going. DPL is a little odd when it comes to redirects, as it only allows the exact name for the template. --KnightMiner

Updates
Whoops.. Sorry. I missed a spot on Rotten Flesh there =P Oozebull (talk) 13:56, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
- It's okay, we are all in a rush to update the wiki to 1.8. Sorry if I came across as rude. --KnightMiner

Mutton/Rabbit Textures - Original Artist.
Saw you reverted some changes and remembered the reddit stuff about it. So I found you those sources you wanted =)
- /u/zeldahuman suggests new textures
- /u/TheMogMiner opens for the possibility of changing the default texture
- /u/TheMogMiner confirming that he asked to use the suggested textures
This being said, I feel this belongs in Trivia section, not necessary in the History section :)

- Thnaks, I had just dug up one reference, but that final reference you found was also most helpful. --KnightMiner

Haven't been on this wiki, so I don't really care what's on my talk page. But thanks anyway, Bob99090900O (talk) 19:48, 2 September 2014 (UTC)

KnightBot4
What software you plan to use for KnightBot4? If it is Pywikibot, then I can help since I use it for JARVISTheBot. --Naista2002 ᐸ Talk
Contribs 14:09, 18 November 2014 (UTC)
- Pywikibot is the one I am most interested in using currently, though I am not planning on setting up the bot just yet as there are quite a few bots already doing what my bot would do (general maintenance, such as template parameter updates). I mainly registered the account now to test a bug and to secure the username. I will send you a message if I need help with the software though. –KnightMiner 14:36, 18 November 2014 (UTC)

Please change that page to not link files, or change the link to use {{fullurl:}} so it doesn't make the files seem used. –Majr ᐸ Talk

- Done. It was not linking to files earlier due to #dpl cache, although it started linking to them again when I had to edit the page to fix an update error. –KnightMiner 22:33, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
For firework rocket page
Can you maybe test this for lag? My computer is decent. Coolcam6578 (talk) 21:23, 4 December 2014 (UTC)Coolcam6578
- Yes, I do get some lag from the large amount of particles, though my computer is not really amazing at running Minecraft.
- It really does not denote mention in trivia, as lag is relative to various computers, and excessive lag from excessive particles sounds expected. The only was to denote such on the article would become a tutorial advising simpler firework designs, and as such would fit well on a firework or lag related tutorial instead. –KnightMiner 22:24, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
Robot summary
Please start your bot's custom edit summaries with "Bot: ".
Also, how did you managed to select pages with a specific suffix? How to select ones without one? --Naista2002 ᐸ Talk
Contribs 18:31, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
- Sorry about that, I keep forgetting to add it.
- As for the suffix, it was done using the -titleregex parameter on replace (category has it too, but I need to add noinclude tags), in the case of the data value pages set to
.*?/DV. To not select those pages, you could use the same basic idea on the -excepttitle parameter of replace, otherwise you need an "not expression" in regex. –KnightMiner 18:45, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
- Then, how to select pages with a specific prefix, but without a specific suffix? --Naista2002 ᐸ Talk

- Then, how to select pages with a specific prefix, but without a specific suffix? --Naista2002 ᐸ Talk
- A specific example of what you are trying would help. Although for example if you want pages that start with "Tutorials" but do not end with "/cz" you could type something along the lines of "-regex -prefixindex:"Tutorials/" -excepttitle:"/cz$". It will load all pages from the prefixindex, and will skip any pages matching the excepttitle. –KnightMiner 20:29, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks. Now, say we have the following situation: We need to add categories to some templates. If documentation is present and it uses
{{doc}}/{{documentation header}}, then the bot will add the category into includeonly tags, otherwise to the noinclude tag of the template itself. What to do? --Naista2002 ᐸ Talk
