Adding external links[]

I just happened to notice your appearance on IRC as well as remembering your username appearing in the recent changes. Looking at your edits, as well as reviewing your attempted edits, I just wanted to inform you that you can start adding external links once you become an autoconfirmed user. Kanegasi C 06:56, 11 May 2013 (UTC)

Okay, thanks. I know a pretty good bit about MediaWiki, as I worked on the Wikipedia.org But I was just wondering how to get confirmed on this. Thanks Andrew Powers 14:23, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
I linked to our project page on autoconfirmed users. Read it. Kanegasi C 22:04, 11 May 2013 (UTC)

My Edits[]

It has come to my attention that there have been alot of edits coming from me...haha, but all of them are new, and will improve the community, so if you have come here because of my excess edits, it is okay, there is no bot, and I am just making it better. Andrew Powers 15:05, 11 May 2013 (UTC)

Wikipedia templates[]

Please stop mindlessly copying Wikipedia templates here, and overwriting our templates with Wikipedia templates. Wikipedia templates have a lot more functionality than we need, making them overly complicated as well as often requiring a ridiculous amount of sub-templates.

If you feel there are templates that need to be created or changed then start a discussion in the Community portal or at the least make them in your userspace first. ultradude25Talk

I have not overwritten ANY templates, just made some personal templates, and they will help out other users, I have seen some pages that require these templates. Andrew Powers 17:22, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
You overwrote our documentation template, and you've overwritten an image, then edited someone's userpage to the reuploaded image.
No pages have required these templates until you started making them, and making almost 100 templates for your own userspace is ridiculous and unacceptable. These changes will be reverted momentarily unless you have a really good reason to keep these broken and personal templates. ultradude25Talk

Broken? These are not broken.....I will show you how my templates will help this wiki. Just let me do it in my sandbox...see I use the sandbox for something. And my userpage wont function without these templates. There forth they are not broken. Andrew Powers 17:46, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
"You overwrote our documentation template, and you've overwritten an image, then edited someone's userpage to the reuploaded image. " I didn't know I overwrote your documentation template, sorry. But the House.png shoud be a house, for general purposes, not a minecraft house for one person to use. Andrew Powers 17:48, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
They require a ridiculous amount of meta-templates to function, which we don't have, and since copying said ridiculous amount of meta-templates over isn't an option, the templates are broken.
Your userpage could very easily function without using those templates. As does everyone else's. You could easily have the html code in your userpage to get it looking the same, or have a couple of modified templates as sub-pages of your userpage to mimic the functionality you're using from those templates without the meta-templates.
First come, first serve with file names. Moving a file with history can be considered, but simply overwriting the image and re-uploading is unacceptable. ultradude25Talk

I hate also how you format your replys, just please leave my private pages alone, PLEASE. Anything Andrew_Powers/* should not be touched! Then I will not have to make templates. Thank you. Also, mediawiki supports HTML code? Andrew Powers 18:01, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
Each user is allowed to discuss with other users on your own talk page. ChickenSig ILeonTalk

Judging by your lack of knowledge over how talk pages work, as well as not knowing about basic wiki features, you really really shouldn't be going anywhere near advanced templates. ultradude25Talk

Typically, you can copy the exact look of a wiki page by viewing the source of the displayed page and copying the html layout of the page content. I do this on Wikipedia to mimic the {{msgbox}} template we have here without dealing with the extra code the msgbox template has. Also, to expand on the talk page format thing, users posting on your talk page can format their replies however they want. You can reformat it afterwards if you want as long as the actual post is not changed. Kanegasi C 22:04, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
I know that you may post on any users talkpage...but I am requesting that if you wish to reply, please do it in my way, or I will not look at it. And you deleted my theme for my talkpage... –Preceding unsigned comment was added by Andrew Powers (talkcontribs) at 02:30, 12 May 2013 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~
