About the Barnacle[]

Okay, the Mob B from the mob vote isn't notable enough for it's own page. It should just say as a mention on the MINECON Earth 2017 page. Also you should upload images of the starfish and barnacle, because people are doubting their existence. Upload them via Special:Upload. James Haydon (talk) 19:48, 11 May 2021 (UTC)

The only issue with that is that I don’t know how to upload something from a video. Dour1234
Okay, well it got renamed to barnacle, and the base wiki page got deleted. James Haydon (talk) 15:38, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

Trivia guidelines[]

Hi, thanks for your contributions. If you're wondering why some of your edits keep getting reverted, I suggest that you review MCW:TRIVIA, and refrain from adding speculation and unsourced assertions to articles, as you did in MCD:Hidden Depths and others. If you cannot provide a way for others to verify the assertion, then don't include it. Ideally, trivia sections should be as small as possible, having only verifiable facts that don't fit anywhere else in the article. Amatulic (talk) 02:44, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

Your article creations[]

Like your pages MCD:Baby Drowned and MCD:Barnacle, why did you create them? There is already MCD:Drowned, we do not need a page just for a baby one, and for Barnacle, it was never in MCD, nor a DLC, so why did you create them? --Jjs (talk) 19:37, 19 May 2021 (UTC)Jjs30000

We should merge the Barnacle page with the 2017 MINECON page. Or we can turn this page into a page for all three mobs from the Minecon 2017 vote. The three mobs should have this page. All that needs to be added is the Wildfire and the Great Hunger. Also, this page needs to move to the regular Minecraft wiki.

May 2021[]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to break our rules or make unconstructive edits, as you did at Minecraft Dungeons:Removed features, you may be blocked from editing. BDJP (t|c) 22:46, 19 May 2021 (UTC)

Ok I will stop. However, I only saw this message after I just made an edit.

Moving pages[]

In most cases, moving pages via copy & paste (as you did at Minecraft Dungeons:Non-Illager Ally and its talk page) wipes out the editing history and is therefore not a recommended way to move pages. You can click the "Move" option from the tabbed list, or add a {{Move}} template on top of a page, whenever you want to move it. — Lumincand 20:15, 9 June 2021 (UTC)

Regarding the mob category pages[]

Having the mobs being split up into category pages is pointless because the mob page in general already provides links to the respective mob pages, hence as to why I went ahead and converted them to redirects. BDJP (t|c) 23:12, 2 July 2021 (UTC)

The mob page should be split up before it is deleted. – Unsigned comment added by Dour1234 (talkcontribs) at 23:20, 2 July 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~
The mob page is not going to be split up. I have no idea why someone would think that it be so, apart from the game shutting down, but it still seems rather pointless to split the page into several other pages when all the information is readily available, and linked, from one general page. BDJP (t|c) 23:22, 2 July 2021 (UTC)

July 2021[]

This message is to remind you that due to your involvement in an edit war regarding Vengeful Heart of Ender, the page has been protected until the DLC is released. This is due to contradictory sources resulting in an edit war between users as to whether the boss is referred to as "Vengeful" or "Broken". I suggest that you please discuss this on the talk page of the page linked above. BDJP (t|c) 21:29, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

Capitalization in Minecraft Dungeons[]

Hi Dour1234. You've been pretty active in Minecraft Dungeons articles. I have been making the articles conform to existing style guidelines about capitalization, although a couple of relatively new editors have resisted those changes.

Clearly also, there's stuff in Minecraft Dungeons that the style guide doesn't cover in terms of capitalization.

With that in mind, I have started the conversation Minecraft Wiki talk:Style guide#Additions needed to MCW:CAPS for Dungeons, and offered some suggestions for expanding the guideline. I am not really familiar with Minecraft Dungeons; most of my edits in that space are maintenance and cleanup. The discussion would benefit from your suggestions, because you are fairly experienced with this Wiki as well as with the game. Thanks. Amatulic (talk) 00:51, 5 August 2021 (UTC)

August 2021[]

Hi. Is there a reason why you are redirecting mob pages to other mob articles and adding the content to said articles? Just noticed you’ve been doing that lately. BDJP (t|c) 06:55, 6 August 2021 (UTC)

The sub pages make this wiki so much more organized. There are tons of mobs in both Minecraft and its spin off games. It would be beneficial to have different categories within the three broad categories of Passive mobs, Neutral mobs, and Hostile mobs. It would also be beneficial to have sub pages to recognize different mobs in each category. Also, I am trying to make the wiki more accessible for mobile users, which I am viewing the wiki on my phone right now. User:Drour1234

Eyesent DuEntityLink[]

So I have noticed you have been doing tons of work on Echoing Void pages, and I just want to say thank you for being such a helpful wiki editor for all these pages! Also, I want to clarify how you are using DuEntityLinks for Eyesent. I basically am one of the only ones constantly maintaning the DuEntityLink and DuLevelLink code, so I would like to know how you are trying to do those links for the Eyesent. For example, for the Blight Eye on the Echoing Void page, you said {{DuEntityLink|Endersent#Blight Eye|Blight Eye}}. I don't know if this was well known, but there was an easier way to do it by saying {{DuEntityLink|Blight Eye}}. Which one should we be using? M3FF1N (talk) 20:18, 7 August 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for the compliment! To be honest, there are times where I do doubt my edits. Regarding the DuEntityLinks for the Eyesent, the reason why I did {{DuEntityLink|Endersent#Blight Eye|Blight Eye}} opposed to {{DuEntityLink|Blight Eye}} is because using {{DuEntityLink|Blight Eye}} creates a whole new page where I would need to redirect that page to where I want the link to lead. I guess what I am trying to say is that the {{DuEntityLink|Endersent#Blight Eye|Blight Eye}} links are temporary until the other links are put in. Drour1234 (talk), 7 August 2021 (UTC)
Ah, I see. In that case, I will also add {{DuEntityLink|"Eyesent Name"}} for each Eyesent. I am also planning on making sprites for each Eyesent as well, based on their enchantments. Thanks! M3FF1N (talk) 13:07, 9 August 2021 (UTC)

Dour1234, before tagging a redirect for speedy deletion, first be sure there are no main-space incoming links to it. On the left panel of your browser window near the bottom, under "Tools", you'll see "What links here". Once you clean those up, then the redirect can be considered unused and no longer needed. You can tag it for deletion, but only after you have done the necessary preparation. Amatulic (talk) 22:53, 8 August 2021 (UTC)

Story page[]

I read your story page and enjoyed reading it very much. Do you think you could add to it with the story of the DLCs, especially Echoing Void? M3FF1N (talk) 19:53, 9 August 2021 (UTC)

I did not think that my interpretation of the Minecraft Dungeons story would be enjoyed. When I wrote that, I was not trying to write a fanfiction. I was just trying to piece together how the different missions related to each other and how the game relates to the prequel novel. I suppose that it did become somewhat of a story by the end. While I do plan on doing the same for the DLCs, I am still working on the Mainland part with trying to incorporate the many different objectives within each mission. By the way, when I started doing this, I noticed that the developers were not just leaving the story vague, they were deliberately with holding key information on the story. While their intentions with staying true to regular Minecraft is a good thought on their part, I feel that it is limiting them. Drour1234 (talk), 9 August 2021 (UTC)
Do you think I could help you with your efforts? I could attempt to do the Jungle Awakens and/or Creeping Winter if you agree. And yes, I actually enjoy the page and would like to find out the lore of the game. Also, although I haven't published them yet, I have been writing a few unofficial Minecraft novels centered around the lore of the game, and they seem to be fairly enjoyed by friends who read them. M3FF1N (talk) 20:11, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
I don't mind if you help out. However, you should know that while I have my own idea of what the dungeons story is, I intentionally made my edits on the Mainland page vague as I was only piecing together the different missions in the game. I do intend on expanding on each section in the mainland page to include the mission objectives. You could help if you want. Just know that it doesn't matter whether or not it seems like a story, all that matters is that the objectives and missions flow together. Drour1234 (talk), 16 August 2021 (UTC)

Your mob page (old)[]

User pages can not be private, nor can anything else (besides abuse filters, deleted revisions, and deleted pages) be private. A message while editing says this.

Please note that all contributions to the Minecraft Wiki are considered to be released under the CC BY-NC-SA 3.0.

Private wikis are possible (you can create your own wiki with mediawiki) however, files won't work (they are obviously not cross-wiki). Humiebeetalk contribs 21:37, 9 August 2021 (UTC)

Mob Classification[]

It is not reasonable to classify mobs into different unofficial categories without any standards. Like animals, you can't say that what looks like an animal is just an animal and otherwise it is not an animal. It doesn't make any sense. If you really want to classify them, please make a discussion to determine the classification standard.--Chixvv (talk) 03:11, 10 August 2021 (UTC)

I think that it is beneficial to have sub pages. Every update adds new mobs to Minecraft. We can’t keep having a single mob page as pretty soon, there is going to be trouble loading the page due to the amount of information of it. Drour1234 (talk), 9 August 2021 (UTC)

About your signature[]

Your signature is linked to User:Drour1234 (your old account) , not User:Dour1234. Can you please change the link to the latter? TheGreatSpring (talk | contribs) (Tagalog translation) 08:36, 10 August 2021 (UTC)

Player vs hero[]

Would you please explain why you are changing the word "player" to "hero" in Minecraft Dungeons articles? Amatulic (talk) 00:25, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

Never mind, I found your edit summary comment explaining it.
With that in mind, I have created the stub article Minecraft Dungeons:Hero for clarification. It certainly confused me. Amatulic (talk) 00:48, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

The reason why I always moved pages by redirecting them was because I did not know how to do the move function. Now that I know, I will try and fix the pages to move them the right way. I don’t really have the time right now, but as soon as I am able to, I will. Thanks for laying out how to do the move function.

I just used the move function to suggest a move. Drour1234 (talk), 17 August 2021 (UTC)
