Thanks!

for helping get all the blocks correct dates!

--Tinaun 02:33, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

Oh yea no problem, I have more than enough time anyways ;D Cool12309(T|C) 02:34, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

Jmb64 17:05, 10 May 2011 how would you have me prove that the blocks were generated there and were not placed?

You can't ;) Cool12309(T|C)
Well, actually, he could provide a map seed and coordinates... ;) ダイノガイ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 21:11, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
Well I guess he could, but if the co-ords were thousands of blocks away, there is a much more slim chance of it being recreated exactly if he made it again. Seeds do help the map generation, but the farther away from spawn you go the less seeds affect generation (if you know what I mean) Cool12309(T|C) 22:58, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
What makes you think that? The seed is used as the main random number seed in the terrain generation code, so it should have the same effect on generated terrain regardless of spawn location (I have noticed subtle changes in generated terrain when playing with map seeds, though, so there must be some other factor also being used as a random seed here). ダイノガイ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 23:01, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
That's what I mean, once I was trying out a seed to find a surface lava fall, that caused a fire. However, it did not spawn. I made another world, and it was there. It was about 500 blocks away from spawn, but you could easily see the lava fall if it was there, from the spawn. Cool12309(T|C) 23:08, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
That's weird... Seeds produce always the same map, unless bugged. They are used to generate pseudo-randomness, which does not actually use anything really random, it just uses the x, y, z, and seed as constants for the pseudo-random calculation. This makes it look random, while it, in fact, is not. Sorry if you don't understand this, but I'm just saying they should give the same world every time. TK | TheKax | Talk 14:37, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
The further away from the spawn, the more randomness the world get's with the same seed. It's small though. Cool12309(T|C) 20:54, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
The algorithm used to create the world is pseudo-random, which has been officially confirmed, so the world created is 100% same as another one with the same seed. Only possible, albeit really rare, difference could be a bug in the level generation, usually only caused by faulty HDD, faulty RAM, a virus, memory leaks, etc. So in general, there is no difference. If you have proof for your claim, I'd be happy to investigate it. TK | TheKax | Talk 11:43, 10 August 2011 (UTC)

Sugar cane.

On the edit you just did on the sugar cane page, well I agree that the correct capitalization is sugar cane, on the mouse popup they are called Sugar Cane. I think that both can be argued for reasonably in this situation. Timberdoodle 23:43, 11 May 2011 (UTC) Sorry wasn't looking at it thoroughly, its Sugar Canes. Timberdoodle 23:46, 11 May 2011 (UTC)

And I don't see your point with the in-game name relating to grammar? The in-game name is a title, meant to be capitalized. When used in general sentences such as the article, it shouldn't be capitalized. Cool12309(T|C) 00:28, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

You're right, I didn't think of that, sorry for any trouble I have caused. Timberdoodle 11:38, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Did you even look at what I changed? I only capitalized it to keep the capitalization somewhat consistant (because it was all over the place). That's a *minor* part of the changes I made though - I don't even care what the capitalization of the thing is. But thanks for acting like capitalizing "Sugar Cane" is the equivalent of spelling like a retarded 2 year old. -_- --Warlock 14:18, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

You guys should be careful with the insults that you decide to throw around in your edit war. Kiwimango 01:58, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

Man made lake tutorial

I'm not pissed off by all that "deleting my tuto" thing yet, but could you at least point out what the grammar issues are ? Then i'll fix it and everybody will be happy. That would be much appreciated Kinperor 16:56, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

X : Y or X :Y

Should be X: Y

i or i'm

Should be I or I'm

X.Y or X .Y or X . Y

Should be X. Y

X?Y or X ?Y or X ? Y

Should be X? Y

There are various others, such as run-on sentences, spelling mistakes, incomplete sentences, etc. Cool12309(T|C) 19:42, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

Alright, is it up to standards now? Kinperor 00:06, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

Removing comments

Is a NO NO. If the talk page is too big, archive it. You don't simply delete comments. Thanks. -- Wynthyst User Wynthyst sig icon talk 04:07, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Moving images

I've properly moved the images this time, but don't do that ever again. Uploading it as a new image means its history and talk page is lost. If you REALLY need an image moved, get an admin to do it. Even then, it's extremely unnecessary (especially ones where you're just adding a space), and causes a lot of problems (the images are probably broken on the other wikis that share the database with us, meaning someone has to go fix all that now). –ultradude25 (T|C) at 05:57, 27 August 2011 (UTC)

Actually, images can be history merged in the exact same manner that normal pages can. That being said, image renames should not be performed by reuploading the image; that just adds to the work needed for the image to be properly renamed. ダイノガイ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 06:04, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
I know that, but he was asking for the original images to be deleted in favour of the duplicate he's uploaded, which is a big no-no. –ultradude25 (T|C) at 06:08, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
Aah, I should have looked before I spoke, then. =) ダイノガイ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 16:26, 27 August 2011 (UTC)

Thanks so much

You really helped me get that link on the blue spiders to work. Thanks, I couldnt figure it out. – Unsigned comment added by MyCraftDev (talkcontribs). Sign comments with ~~~~

No problem. Cool12309(T|C) 03:59, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

Blue Spider

Note that User:Shockman25 added that "Kizzy:" line on the blue spider page. Kizzycocoa hasn't said it's all good yet. He most likely will, but Shockman is now being arrogant. Please be cautious about this topic. Things do not end well when smart-alecs go up against admins. --HexZyle 01:05, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

I doubt anyone will think "TO Kizzy:" means that kizzy wrote it. Cool12309(T|C) 01:06, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
I'm sure that if I didn't post that, the second kizzy would see the page, he/she would ban me and then deleted the page without looking at the discussion. It's just a note so kizzy will go to discussion first before deciding what he/she wants to do. Shockman25 01:08, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
I think putting this on his talk page will get his attention very quickly. Cool12309(T|C) 01:09, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, thanks for the clarification. I take back my comment. --HexZyle 01:08, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Deletion tags

Is there some reason you are placing deletion tags on the redirected talk pages of the international admins? -- Wynthyst User Wynthyst sig icon talk 05:56, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Because they lead to pages that don't exist. I found them in the Special pages: Broken redirects area Cool12309(T|C) 20:06, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
Did you try going to any of them? If you had, you would see they lead to pages that very much do exist, they just exist on OTHER wikis, which is why they appear in the broken redirect list. You need to be more aware of what is happening around you :P It's much like the issue with images that appear on the unused file list. While the images may not be used on the English wiki any longer, it's very possible they are still being used on either the Dutch or German wikis since when they were first established, these three wikis shared a single image database. That's why you can't simply tag unused files for deletion. -- Wynthyst User Wynthyst sig icon talk 21:31, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

oops

shouldn’t have judged you so fast: you are capable of seeing mistakes that you made, and so am I: sorry for calling you an idiot. – Flying sheep 15:48, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

ahh, so you were, in fact, not. so i take back the idiot and call you vandal. – Flying sheep 16:05, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

“alt” version of block images

i guess they are there because they look a bit nicer between the other blocks if they are vertically centered – Flying sheep 21:36, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

Makes sense, I saw the template after removing the alt and they do look lower. Sorry Cool12309(T|C) 21:38, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

Template:Bug

Can you please make a Template:Bug/doc ? Thanks. --{ Fishrock123 } (Talk) 19:48, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

It's not done, when it's done I will. For now look at the talk page, it shows an example and the parameters. Cool12309(T|C) 21:35, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

Blend files

Here. The 1.8 terrain.png should be packaged with them, if not find out how to select a different texture and replace it with one that's the same dimensions as the terrain.png. Please remember when uploading images made by these files (that doesn't include any custom models you make) to use {{license cc-by-nc}} and {{license Mojang}} and if anyone is asking to use a render (at least for commercial purposes), direct them to me to sort out. –ultradude25 (T|C) at 02:04, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

Okay, thanks. Cool12309(T|C) 00:39, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

STOP!

DO NOT ADD THE Entities TEMPLATE TO ANY MORE PAGES! Keep the mobs template. From Moi, Ajc_1254 00:07, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

Er, I think I already finished. Mobs were merged into Entities, so it should be removed Cool12309(T|C) 00:08, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
To late, already reverted. I'm taht good, ain't I?From Moi, Ajc_1254 00:18, 9 September 2011 (UTC) P.S. I WILL report you if you don't stop.
Why don't you two discuss the reason why you are edit warring instead of mindlessly clicking the undo link? Discussion opens here: use {{c|agree}} followed by your argument if you think the template should become entity, and use {{c|disagree}} followed by your argument if you think it should stay as mobs. I'll start: --HexZyle 04:28, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
Out with the old, in with the new. The mobs template is being merged with the entity template since the entity template already has a subcategory for mobs and there is no reason for them to be seperated as mobs are entities too >>HexZyle<< TALK|CONT 04:28, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
Entities is better. It includes the mobs and more. If you want separate things, go separate part of the items template. Cool12309(T|C) 22:15, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

Delete

You're waaay too delete happy. How about fixing pages instead of just throwing a delete on there because you can't be bothered? –ultradude25 (T|C) at 16:59, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

That's only 1 page. The rest are files (which are outdated and replaced with new ones (the Crafting square and Crafting output images moved to Grid)) or unused categories which also will probably never be used. Or something. Cool12309(T|C) 17:02, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
There's been other times. You just seem to be recklessly putting the delete tag everywhere, without actually looking at the pages first (like the mobs template, which ended up adding about 15 other pages up for deletion because they were still including it). –ultradude25 (T|C) at 17:12, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
