Oh come on now C418, you can't stay mad at me that long for posting some ascii desu on the irc, can you? **wink wink**--Quatroking - Row! Row! Fight the power! 14:43, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Wow!
I am using the retro sounds mod, and where we are now is playing as time of day music. Curious? Leave me a reply!
Death
You know that song death? It uses the new silverfish sounds. And that song was released 1 year ago. Shouldn't that be under trivia? Tulaash 18:43, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
Calm 4
Hey, I know nobody really looks at this page anymore, but I just wanted to know what happened to the hidden track, "Calm 4". For those who haven't heard it, search "Calm 4 secret Minecraft song" without quotes. It isn't on the list, and it's really cool. How about putting it on the list, even if it HAS been moved or deleted? Jezzdawga-I wrote this before I made an account
- Notch made Calm 4, not C418.
- True. Twitter source here: https://twitter.com/#!/C418/status/199321536920956931 --87.122.40.251 14:49, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
C418 age
He's 22 years old, at least 3 months ago.
I don't think I can change it myself, I don't have the privileges or something, or I don't know how to.

Copyright for YouTubers
I've recently contacted Mojang's legal/branding department and got a replay in regard to some questions I had about what is and is not allowed in what types of YouTube videos. Here's a transcript of the email chain:
[Wed, Sep 19, 2012 at 11:15 PM]
Hello,
You no doubt receive a lot of emails, so I'll keep this short:
1. Under what terms has C148 established Mojang's use of his music?
2. What affect does the above question have on YouTubers?
a. Are YouTubers allowed to use Minecraft music in their videos when it is played from records or in the background in-game?
b. Are YouTubers allowed to use Minecraft music in their videos when it is edited in as a backdrop to commentary, time-lapses or the like?
c. Are YouTubers allowed to use Minecraft music in their videos when it is the exclusive audio-content of the video?
3. Do monetized videos provoke any modification to what is/is not allowed above?
4. With the upcoming Minecraft documentary, will YouTubers be allowed to edit in C148's music for that too? (similar to 2b)
I have been unable to find the answers to these questions online. If you see fit to provide a response, I will post it on the Minecraft Wiki back-channels
and edit where necessary so that it may be known.
- Doxy
Having no real expectation that I'd get a response (I'd previously contacted C148 though his Bandcamp profile), I got this response:
[Thu, Sep 20, 2012 at 7:34 AM] Hey Doxy, As long as you use the music in context with the game you should be fine. Monetizing by adding ads to videos is also cool with us. I'm not sure I understand #4 but it's obviously different to use 2PP's video/sound. They have the permission to use our assets for their movie. Cheers [Name]
I've just recently sent a follow-up email about question #4 where in the email I elaborate:
[Thu, Sep 20, 2012 at 1:35 PM] It is my understanding that C148 is producing music for 2PP's documentary that will never be in Minecraft. If this is the case, will YouTubers be allowed to use C148's music from that in Minecraft related videos? And, to what extent can Mojang dictate the terms of its use?

I got another email in response to the above:
[Thu, Sep 20, 2012 at 2:33 PM] I see. As for that music you would need to ask c418 and 2PP.
So, it appears that has hasn't been discussed and/or is outside Mojang's direct influence at this time.
