Block duration of Logomansbutcher1138

I was reviewing Category:Requests for unblock and came across your block of User:Logomansbutcher1138. Isn't indef a bit harsh? Aside from the user's dislike of the taxicab distance article I wrote, the main space contributions have been OK. He could be a good editor I think. Would you consider a reduction in the duration? Amatulic (talk) 03:40, 14 August 2022 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) They are only blocked from Taxicab distance. TheGreatSpring (talk | contribs) 03:47, 14 August 2022 (UTC)
Ah, I missed that in the block log. Thanks. Amatulic (talk) 17:36, 14 August 2022 (UTC)

Minecraft Legends: Pigmadilo

Good evening. I would like to know what criteria from MY design model, I repeat, my design model of character gallery and page format that has been developed and aproved lately, does the page mentioned in the title of this topic meet? A new mob anounced with an official name and description and you dare, I repeat, you dare to simply delete information from the main source of minecraft info? You better have a logical explanation for you actions. The name of the page follows the format minecraft dungeons follows for mobs. Name of the game, 2 dots, mob name. What is the matter? Don't delete the page, change it to whatever criteria you want. Deleting work and research is not only absurd but extremely unpolite and downright wrong. I await response. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 23:38, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

Clearly you did not read over MCW:NOTABILITY. I also will not take any passive-aggressive threats. BDJP (t|c) 23:41, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
I am not threatening you. Also the information should be delivered NOW. As more features are anounced we expand upon it. We don't waste time to add info even if it is little. You know it took me time to make that page. Also how do you expect me to react wen you suddenly delete my work over your absurd policies? Witheremperor2006 (talk) 23:43, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
It can wait. We did not put info on MCD into its own namespace until a month out from release at the earliest. You can put the information in your own userspace (i.e. "User:Witheremperor2006/Pigmadilo") and it will be moved to the MCL namespace when it is ready. BDJP (t|c) 23:54, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
I realise that in the momment of frustration my attitude was not the best. I still disagree with that policy, however, you are just doing your job and I believe at the best you can do it. That is a respectable position and I acted wrong. Again I still believe my argument is valid, however my attittude towards you was extremely unpolite and inconvenient to say the least. I apologise for my behavior as you are just a person like me who loves this game and it's communitty. You did not deserve what I put you through. If you could ever forgive me. Again my apologies. Much obliged for your patience and information delivered. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 23:59, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

"no, this one isn't fine!"

re: reverts on https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/File:Mhdc_pulse_extender.png The version uploaded by Goro488 is missing on crucial redstone dust connecting the two counter/clock parts. -> It isn't fine because it doesn't work without that one piece of RSD. Nilbadimo (talk) 13:10, 12 September 2022 (UTC)

Its updated to the new textures. Everything else is irrelevant unless a newer version is uploaded. BDJP (t|c) 13:57, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
BTW, isn't it bit over-exaggerated? The Style guide mentions the "vanilla textures", which are things Minecraft ships with. It should be more clarified, that is true, but reverting it just because it uses "older textures" is really not the best reason. --TreeIsLife (talk) 14:04, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
@BDJP007301 - How can the functionality of a redstone circuit not be relevant? Goro488's circuit/image doesn't work. @TreeIsLife - My upload comment was wrong. I'm not using vanilla textures (I think) but Vanillatweaks.net textures for some redstone stuff. @ALL - BTW, where can I suggest to allow such minimal texture mods? Eg. redstone dust looks much more like in schematics. Nilbadimo (talk) 14:36, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
Per MCW:IMAGES, the image must have default textures; any texture modification is not allowed. BDJP (t|c) 14:41, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
Maybe just build the other one but with the official textures. I can do that if you want if I find a tutorial.Witheremperor2006 (talk) 18:38, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
I made a build of this today and can upload an image if need be. If no one else does by the time I get up tomorrow, I'll upload it then. - AD OffKilter (talk) 04:52, 13 September 2022 (UTC)

Unauthorized mass file deletion

Good evening. I would like to understand why did you delete the placeholder renders that took time to make has acurate to the game as possible until I or someone else upload the actual ones. For years this gamepedia has used placeholders. In fact, nobody gets confused since the renders have a legal disclaimer and license. I can see that by previous conflicts from other people, that you have a reputation for deleting files and making the gamepedia look worse than before. You also seem to lack basic un derstanding of the game and pages involved in current edits. You cannot do what you do. The files will be uploaded again. If you delete them I will see no other option but to report you. Enough is enough. I have used placeholder renders far less acurate than the recent ones and they are still in the gamepedia to this day. So have other users as well. I hope you nget the message for once. I am not your enemy. I love this game as much as you possibly do. Show some respect and humbleness my friend. Much obliged. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 14:12, 23 September 2022 (UTC)

In one of your edit summaries, you basically admitted that the model "sells the idea quite well", which basically admits that it was fanmade. We do not use any fan-made renders in articles, and all textures included must be from the original game. Please read over MCW:IMAGES and MCW:RENDER before uploading any more files to this wiki. BDJP (t|c) 14:17, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
Who said the textures are not official. The only thing that makes them diffrent is the glowing on their eyes wich was aded by me. Every render that has glowing was fanmade in that sense. Hence why it sells the idea. If everyone is lasy enough not to add the actual renders than, until I do so wich I've been extracting more and more files from the game lately, than the placeholders can tell people basically what they look like. If you played Ancient Hunts than you know the renders are extremely similar, I was honest to say they are just PLACEHOLDERS. Also if you don't agree just talk to me man, do not delete work because that's just wrong. I apologised for being rude in my previous talk with you and you ghosted me. Please man that's not very nice. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 14:22, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
First of all, I have said that I will make real the ancient mobs renderings LATER. Secondly, without taking evidence or taking screenshots in the game, You just roughly changed renders to purple and gold, which is disrespectful to the game and render creators, and will also mislead the mod creators and players. You don't understand how many props.txt and json files and screenshots we referred to, just wanna made the renders more closer to the game. For the placeholders, In-game screenshots are the best placeholders for wiki and players. As for how to make better renderings, you can refer to the Minecraft Wiki:Minecraft Dungeons standardized views page, we are planning to make a blender setup file that newbies can use, I highly recommend you to read this article more if you have time. For the last question, our wiki is not recognized by Microsoft because there are too many such low-quality imitations like this. It's up to you to leave or stay in wiki. Have a nice day. Alan (talk) 15:15, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
Hi. I am no newbie with blender or json files has I make mods and resourcepacks and enjoy modeling characters. I also have acess to the files and blender. My problem is that I could not find the file that gives the golden and purple overlay to enchanted and ancient mobs, they are just regular mobs with diffrent size, code and a texture overlay. Because I cannot find the overlays to make the renders, I just used the renders already existing in the wiki with the correct pose and recolored, added contrast, added glow, etc. I do understand that many might consither it fraude but to have high resolution screenshots in-game I would have to go on ancient hunts and stuff and I am not looking foward to hack the game or offer gear just to play once for all ancients. I apologise to you since you took the time to give me this info and helped me. However the dude on this talk page always ghosts me and never asks before deleting files I might want to use on my profile for example. I have been a part of the wiki for a while. Not as long as him but still I didn't arrive yesterday. I even had pro before it was reset due to a diffrent story. Anyway I am sorry and I will try to be more understanding and respectful. However I still think Microsoft just hates us. Mojang still talk about this wiki in things like dev diaries and minecraft now livestreams. We were humiliated by Microsoft and I just want to make the wiki the best to prove them wrong. However I guess you have a point. Still nobody sees value or has any respect for anything I do. I have spent countless hours editing this wiki. I uploaded hundreds of files that where missing, like artwork and official double eleven stuff. User NineTreyBlud even had the amazing patience to add licensing to all of them. Me and him completely revamped entire galleries and added a lot of info. I am nobody compared to some of you older users and fans, but I'd just like more understandment and not so much disgust towards me. I'm sorry. Thank you. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 17:04, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
Yes but I added licensing to them because I just usually do that automatically to new files of Mojang content and not because I show compassion towards the user, though I do appreciate you seeing that through your lens. AlanMarlon is a well known MCD data miner and also is an expert at Blender. He has recently been adding GIF animations for different mobs, something which I greatly appreciate him for. He is also planning to ska e renders for ancient and enchanted mobs, and these ones will be fully animated like how they are in-game. I don't really wanna be dragged into this whole argument, but I'm just gonna ask this, do you have access to the Minecraft Dungeons game files? James Haydon (talk) 17:11, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
I own the game, hence I have the files. I know how to extract them but it gets confusing. I am sorry to drag you I just asumed the best of you since you help me a lot. Maybe the problem is in me. Maybe I should give up editing and just upload files for you people to use. Again, I'm sorry. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 17:16, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
I own it too, but nI don't wan't to bother with how to extract them. Instead I download them from this page, which has all the different types of files for the game publicly available for download. I highly recommend the UModel files since the ones contain a lot of the important materials such as images and sounds. If you want to have the models of stuff I also recommend getting the QuickBMS files. The latest version of UModel files available here in for 1.14.1.0, which has stuff up to the Luminous Night content. I hopefully plan to get the 1.15.1.0 Model files up soon or at least get someone else to extract and upload them. Hopefully this is useful. James Haydon (talk) 17:24, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
See you are giving me huge advice and help. That's why I asumed you were doing things for compassion and because you are a nice guy, wich I believe you are. Thanks for the motivation. It actually helps. Thanks to both of you. I will try to help out more to make the wiki better. For example I think my dungeons gallery model was quite good and you saw it. However I just hope that mr BDJP here stops deleting my files in my face and ghosting me. Thank you again. I apologise for dragging both of you to this conflict. Thanks. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 17:29, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
It seems like BDJP isn't the type for long discussions like this one. He only deleted the renders you posted and nothing else, so all of the other stuff you uploaded is completely safe. I have been busy the past few days adding sounds to items in Minecraft Dungeons that did not have them already. There was a surprising amount, it really does seem at times as if I'm the only dedicated Dungeons wiki editor. Back onto BDJP, he also deleted a lot of unlicensed, unused and useless files today as well as ones of other copyrighted content that haw somehow stayed on the wiki for over a year undetected. I tagged them for deletion which is why he did them all at once. This is so you don't think he does this to just be against you or anything. James Haydon (talk) 17:41, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
Fine then. I love Dungeons so if there is anything I can be useful in you can tell me please. I'd like to help and be more respected has a core long time fan of the franchise. I've been thinking of uploading hd screenshots of important moments in the game. Please if you have a basic to do list for dungeons give it to me. I wan't to help. Hi, I am Fandom's new Senior Community Manager for Gaming

Hello there! My name is Jieyang and I'm going around saying hi to editors in the community. I joined about two weeks ago but you'll be seeing me around more in the future.

User sandbox for innovation.

Good evening. I read a while ago in someone else's talk page you were talking about this sandbox feature that allows the users to experiment with new wiki designs without ruining the wiki and, if approved by administrators, the innovation could be implemented. I wanted to know if this is true since I had an idea I think would work far better however I do not know if people would agree. I await your response. Much obliged. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 19:24, 26 September 2022 (UTC)

I’m sorry. I have no idea what you are talking about, and I don’t recall making such a comment. BDJP (t|c) 19:32, 26 September 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for your reply. Well you did make it in regards to the user who messed up the piglin icons I made minutes ago which you reverted. In fact it is your first message to him. However I apologise if I interpret that sentence wrong. Have an enjoyable evening. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 19:36, 26 September 2022 (UTC)

Sorry for the hassle.

I probably skipped a few rules, sorry for any hassle caused. Zenphia (talk) 17:58, 15 October 2022 (UTC)

Its ok. Perhaps this will be a good refresher to look over the style guide. BDJP (t|c) 18:00, 15 October 2022 (UTC)

MESH CAVES

Why did you remove my page "Mesh Caves" twice, thinking it was a hoax page? It's real, but it wasn't added into the game. There's no such biome added into the final game, but it was mentioned. WHY ARE YOU DELETING IT?

No mesh caves in Minecraft

NO MESH CAVES

Cave#Noodle cave; caves are not a biome. BDJP (t|c) 10:59, 16 October 2022 (UTC)

Please let users preserve inactive userpages

Like the title says, some people (including me) want to preserve inactive users' userpages. – Unsigned comment added by SMB Fan2010 (talkcontribs) at 21:50, 16 October 2022 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~

No. Unless you can confirm that you are connected to the other user in some way, you will not be allowed to edit that user’s userpage. If the userpage is blanked, it’s because the user became inactive, and is generally meant to stay that way unless the user comes back. I have also removed your comment on the respective user’s talk page as they have not been active since 2014. Please do not edit either page again or you will be blocked. BDJP (t|c) 21:54, 16 October 2022 (UTC)

Minecraft Legends Piglins Template

Why did you renamed the template with my account name? Alpha Omega Plus (talk) 20:41, 19 October 2022 (UTC)

Moved it to your userspace. BDJP (t|c) 20:46, 19 October 2022 (UTC)
I see that, but why? I barely know how to make a wiki on this wiki. This is also a newly create navbox, so I don't know why you think it needs a redirect. Alpha Omega Plus (talk) 22:00, 19 October 2022 (UTC)
It is simply currently not notable to be put into the mainspace. See MCW:NOTABILITY for more information. BDJP (t|c) 22:12, 19 October 2022 (UTC)

Default player skins

Good evening. Although there is a page on this gamepedia named Skin, the page named Player does include default player skins and information about them. I demand you provide a link to such a "feedback blog" if it is something official by mojang and that you explain what valid reason you have to decide that the new player skins are not to be included and that only, apparently, Steve and Alex exist. If the info you provide confirms nothing, then the page shall include the new default skins as they are part of minecraft now. They are not from an update, they are already present in the launcher. I hope you have a valid reason. If you do, then the page stays the way it is. Much obliged. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 15:47, 22 October 2022 (UTC)

I already provided the link in my edit summary, but alas... https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/9993986449037-Minecraft-Beta-Preview-1-19-50-21 BDJP (t|c) 15:49, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
The new default skins are classified as non-experimental features. That means they are complete and will stay that way. Also the article is about a beta preview for Bedrock edition while the page player refers to both versions of the game (java and bedrock). I do not really see the point of excluding the new skins. The article proves nothing at all. If you could explain what is in the article that gives you the motivation to remove the new skins from said page. Much obliged. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 15:54, 22 October 2022 (UTC)

Regarding LCE Content pn the Skins Wiki

Good afternoon. I made some changes to the LCE section of the Skin page to correct some information there and I was baffled to see the entire section removed. I just wanted to know what your reasoning was, because Legacy Console Edition is important to the history of the game and skin packs altogether. I don't see a good reason as to why it shouldn't be documented, especially since it was the first version of the game to even have multiple default skins. --MNLDev (talk) 20:44, 22 October 2022 (UTC)

Hi. The reason as to why Legacy Console Edition information was removed is that Legacy Console Edition was discontinued back in December 2019. Having Legacy Console Edition information on the article goes against our style guide, particularly MCW:UPTODATE. BDJP (t|c) 00:13, 23 October 2022 (UTC)

Not answering afterwords

The title is clear, when someone asks you something you give one answer and that is it. On the default player skins matter after you provided the link I responded to you about the article, you clearly did not give a damn. Then you complain how people "clearly do not read over some article or rule you or the wiki staff came up with. If you do not answer and give your point clearly, why should your orders ever be followed on edits? And threatening to ban someone is actually abuse of power. Yes I have read the community guidelines if that's what you want. You cannot do whatever you want. I was polite, now you return the favor and answer the question I asked you there.
