Signature template
Can you please subst: your signature template? should it be vandalized or changed, it will have to parse through all instances. Eventually this could lead to tens of thousands of changes and would create unnecessary server stress. Thanks! -- Wynthyst

- I'm fine, thanks. That "unnecessary server stress" won't even hinder the wiki enough to prohibit someone from just reverting it, particularly since I don't have tens of thousands of instances, but only a score or so. And the number isn't likely to rise, either, I was turned off coming here by certain deadbeat admins who don't understand the concept of community and democracy. Chill bro
If you're not happy with what's going on the wiki, that shouldn't mean you need to get irate about it. You should make your point with more civility. Ranting on talk pages doesn't exactly help anyone and it'd suck to see you get blocked over it. You made a good point on the wiki rules talk page but I and anyone else who agrees so can't really agree to you making it out of anger. --Gnu32 00:29, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
- Couldn't care less. The time I spent on this wiki were spent watching mods ignore any requests at fixing the place. I've seen the only decent users leave cause they can't be bothered being in a place with such little proactivity. The organiser/owner of the wiki who has server privs won't even respond to requests, lest listen. case in point. Also, jump one topic down in the same page to see jackassery to its highest degree, completely denying the community something they want in a high-drama case that recieved high attention from many users. ACLECTASIS 00:54, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
- Well, in case you aren't aware, "this place" has changed hands. If you wish to make a request for changes, please do so on the Community Portal talk page, and we can talk about it. The fact that you don't respond to requests with civility doesn't make your case any better. (See above topic) -- Wynthyst

- Oh? While I don't (having to reiterate this again) give half a shit about whether people care about me or how I deal with people or things (considering mods like Quatro are even worse than me), I'm interested to know about the trading of hands. Hit me up with the deets, what happened and why? Who's in charge now? ACLECTASIS 05:31, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

- Oh, I guess we should all ignore you then? You really need to cool it. Sorry that you've been ignored on the community portal. It's hard to get anyone's attention on here, especially on the talk pages but it's a wiki so we're (mostly) voluntary, busy or we just miss things. If you really want to get something changed or fixed, you should try the IRC. Minepedia is NOT Wikipedia, so most decisions here are down to the administrators really. Whether that's good or not is a whole bunch of politics, but keep that in mind. --Gnu32 02:41, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
- Ignore me, I'd appreciate it immensely, since you seem to think civility rather than working towards action is something worth fighting for. ACLECTASIS 05:31, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

I wish to add, Wyn, that I did EXACTLY what you suggested, and I was shot down in IRC and on the wiki for it :/ just pointing that out so we can all see it on the table.--Kizzycocoa 00:27, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
- The only proactive mod I've met on minepedia being shut down by masses of people who don't want to fix things? colour me shocked. ANNOYING 01:57, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
- Ok, so how long is this issue of the Herborine page going to last? Kizzy, get over it, it doesn't exist in the game, the information is available in your user space for those who want to see it. If we start allowing every bit of fan fiction that comes along, we will soon lose track of the purpose of the wiki, which is to document the game. Get off your personal crusades. As for you Aclectasis, I'm not sure exactly what the problem is, but since you haven't been around much, you should at least be aware that Kizzy is no longer an administrator here because of the constant drama he brings... mostly about the Herborine page. He also doesn't get that IRC and the wiki are two separate things. But enough. You have your nopreviewrequired status, what other issue do you have to be dissatisfied with? -- Wynthyst

- Bringing drama is required if one is right and needs to bring it in order to change things for the better. Again, if you actually think that the mods are incapable of setting a line and sticking with it in terms of moderating the creation of things that are notable within the Minecraft community, then I think you're wrong. Herobrine is obviously a bit more notable than any old fanfiction and these should be dealt with on a case by case basis. As for the requiredpreview, thanks, though it shouldn't have ever been a problem in the first place. I heard somewhere that it's because of a bug that it hasn't been changed already so it's not really anyones fault anymore. ANNOYING 23:06, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
- The bug was fixed weeks ago. -- Wynthyst

- Wowee, sucks to be them I guess. Thanks for the convenience though, it was a major part in turning me off large scale maintenance tasks on Minepedia. I will probably give them a go now. ANNOYING 07:44, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi
;) --Thadeous Oakley 14:37, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
Just took a look at your contributions. The overall administration looks indeed flawed, and I see you've already made a lot of friends pointing this out. BTW, Thadeous Oakley, for some reason I can't use this code as my siggy, could you take a look at it? Also replied to you on my UD talk page. --Thadeous Oakley 14:53, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
