Auldrick is from a nickname[1] my much younger friends gave me years ago, recast now to a form that not only enhances its/my Celtic roots but is also original enough to qualify as a near-globally-unique user id without the necessity of either
- xFRAMINGxITxINxAxWAYxNOBODYxELSExWOULDxEVERxTHINKxOFxINxAxMILLIONxYEARSx,[2] or
- having a computer-generated serial number appended like some kind of unoriginality merit badge.
Better still, it's short, pronounceable, and at least some people [3] will find its meaning transparent.
- ↑ "Old Rick", sometimes with the jocular epithet "...the Barbarian".
- ↑ Thirty years ago, X was the least-used letter in English. Now, Google indexes more words that both start and end in X than any other letter. Statisticians point out that the use of X is multiplying and warn that a chi-square distribution may soon lead to a worldwide shortage. Algebraists counter that the true usage of X is unknown.
- ↑ Scots and logophiles. Especially Scottish logophiles.

Completed Work[]
Pocket Edition Celestial Mechanics[]
Little known fact: In MCPE prior to 1.1, the sun, moon, and stars rose in the north, not the east. The wiki didn't mention it at the time and MCPE didn't (and still doesn't) have the Debug screen, so I made all my navigation notes with the wrong assumption. When I figured it out, I made changes to the following pages to keep other PE users from making the same mistake.
-
SunDone -
MoonDone -
Day-night cycleDone -
The OverworldDone -
Tutorials/NavigationDone -
Tutorials/Tips_and_tricksDone
The rising of the sun and moon was corrected in release 1.1, so I removed my changes. The stars were overlooked in that fix, so they weren't corrected until 1.1.2 (I think).
Ticking areas[]
I authored the Ticking area and Commands/tickingarea pages when ticking areas were added to Pocket Edition in the 1.2 Beta.
