Wither is two ] in MinecraftBoss, along with Ender Dragon], is often considered the first boss in the game, although it was added later, and the Achievement and [Progress]] associated with it will only be unlocked after defeating the Ender Dragon.
Defeating the Withering Spirit earns Nether Star, a key material for crafting Beacon that players who challenge it flock to. This battle can also clear the terrain for future building planning.
Generate withering
Collect withering skeleton skull
In order to spawn the wither, you need to obtain three withering skeletons head. The Withering Skull is a rare drop item (2.5%) of [Wither Spirit Skull, so it is recommended to bring a sword with [Snatch enchanted to increase the probability of the head falling. Although the drop probability of using a sword with the Snatch III enchantment is only 5.5%[Java Edition only] or 8.5%{only|be}}, it is better than nothing. The Withering requires three wither skull heads to summon, so you may need to kill a few hundred wither skeletons to have enough wither skulls. Summoning withers also requires another material—Soul Sand or Soul Earth, which are common in the Nether.
Alternatively, you can use Lightning Creeper to blow up the Wither Skeleton, at which point 100% of the Wither Skeleton drops its head. In Thunderstorm, players can use the Nether portal to bring [Withering Skeleton from the Nether Fortress to the Overworld, create Lightning Chueon by attacking the Trident with the Thunder enchantment attached to it, and make the Lightning Cry Fear blow up the withering skeleton. You can walk up to the Lightning Cry to make it explode (but take precautions, such as wearing armor with Explosion Protection enchantment), and you can also directly detonate Lightning Cry with flint. Note, however, that no matter how many withered skeletons are gathered in the explosion, only one head will be dropped at a time. A lightning creeper's explosion can leave a considerable hole in the ground, so this acquisition strategy should be practiced away from places where you often walk or pass.
Summon Withering
The Withering Spirit is built with 4 pieces Soul Sand or Soul Earth and 3 withering skull heads. Soul Sand (Soul Earth) can be easily obtained in Nether, especially in Soul Sand Canyon. To generate a wither, build a T-shape from four pieces of soul sand or soul earth, and place a withering skull on top of each soul sand or soul soil. As shown in the image on the left. Placing the structure upright, flat, or upside down can summon withers.
Methods of Warfare
Traditional tactics
This method is the most conventional way to combat withering. Although this method is not recommended due to its difficulty, it is undoubtedly the most commonly used method for players who are not aware of more advanced play. It requires players to prepare a lot of late-game gear and materials in order to defeat their opponents in a fair fight.
Readiness List
Defeating the Wither requires a lot of preparation, but everyone's proficiency is different, so the equipment required is also different. The following is a list of recommended combat readies for the average player:
- a Diamond Sword or Nether Metal Sword (depending on your version), Enchanted [Undead Slayer] V and [Knockback II ([Flame Addition are useless, the level of knockback can be based on personal habits)
- enchantments [DurableIII (optional), [PowerV, ImpactII (optional), and Infinite (optional) enchantments Bow (Fire are useless)
- An arrow (or groups of arrows, if you don't have an infinity bow or a crossbow), if possible, you can choose a healing arrow
- Full set of diamonds armor or Nether Alloy Armor (depending on your version), Enchanted ProtectionIV or Explosion ProtectionIV
- a diamond pickaxe or Nether Alloy Pickaxe (depending on your version), Enchanted Precision Acquisition and Efficiency IV. or V.
- An enchantment with [Quick Reload III, Multiple Shot], [Durable] III Crossbow (optional)
- An enchantment with [Loyalty III and Thunder (optional) or Torrent] III (optional, preferably brought) Trident (optional)
- enchanted [Shield III on one side (optional)
- a pair of enchanted [durable] III and [empirical patch elytra (optional)
- is highly effective food, such as bread, steak, pork chops, or golden carrots
- } at least five Golden apple
- A [enchanted golden apple]] (optional)
- A Immortal Totem (optional)

- } at least two bottles Strength Potion (Strength II)
- groups obsidian (optional)
- A ender box
- several groups Ender pearl
- } Several barrels of milk for removing the withering effect (not required on easy difficulty)
- Iron Blockand carved-pumpkin or jack-o'lantern or pumpkin[Bedrock Edition only],用于產生auxiliary operations 的iron golem (optional)
Choosing a place to fight
Once you've completed all the material preparations for summoning and readiness, the next step is to pick a combat location. There are many combat locations, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. It is recommended to find a completely enclosed place so that the withering spirit does not destroy any of your buildings.
Dimension Picking
You can fight in any dimension. It's not difficult to choose one of the three, but the most recommended dimension is Overworld, because [Nether]] and End are too dangerous, and the variety of environments in Overworld offers different combat options. The Nether is full of cliffs and lava lakes that will burn all your preparations; The End is a existence similar to outer space, and once you fall Void, all your equipment will disappear. Also, if the withered spirit dies on the Void or Lava Lake, you won't be able to collect the Nether Star. To sum up, it is better to fight in the Overworld. However, there is also no shortage of endermen in the End that attract the hatred of the withered spirits, which allows you to kill them faster when they are half-blooded. In addition, in Java Edition you can also "snap" it back into the portal to make it fall into neutrality. Once you've chosen the end, make sure to fight on the large island in case you accidentally fall. This method of "stucking" the wither under bedrock can also be performed on the ceiling of Nether, making the Nether an alternative dimension for players who have not killed [Ender Dragon against the wither.
Location Selection
The Overworld has a variety of environments, some of which are more suitable locations for combat. In addition to being fought directly in the open air, battles can also be – or preferably underground. In surface battles, withers will fly out of position to dodge your attacks and injure the innocent, causing even more damage to the surface and even destroying your buildings. Fighting in enclosed spaces is a good way to avoid these destructions. Before starting the battle, it is best to check if there is an underground lava lake nearby. Caves in different biomes are also different for wither battles. Rocks in the Wind-Raided Hills and Mountain biomes may have Silverfish, and if these rocks are blown up by withers, the escaping silverfish will also attack you. So don't fight in caves in hills and mountains where the wind hits, and don't go too far from home, in case of death, the consequences are serious.
Operating Base
Once you've chosen your location, you should set up a small base. The base should be built from the hardest obtainable block: Obsidian, because the Wither can only use blue Wither Head or cause damage to obsidian on impact, while the Black Wither Head cannot damage Obsidian. Build your base in open locations so you can quickly take shelter inside when needed. The entrance to the base should be designed to be narrow (1×2, exactly the size of the player's character) to prevent the withering and withering heads from entering. In order to prevent the Blue Wither Head from destroying the base, at least 3 layers of obsidian should be enclosed for protection.
A set of tools to effectively deal with withers: all armor is protection IV, swords are sharp IV, bows are power IV, infinite I
Choosing a battleground
Once you have obtained the skulls and prepared your other equipment, the next step is to choose a place to fight. There are many possible fight locations, but each place has its risks and disadvantages. It is recommended to find a completely enclosed place so the wither doesn't destroy any of your buildings.
Dimension
You can fight in any of the dimensions in the game. Since there are only three, the choice is not very difficult. However, the most ideal dimension to fight in is the Overworld, because the Nether and the End are very dangerous places. The Overworld has many different environments, so there are many different possible battle sites. However, the Nether is mostly made of lava and rocky cliffs, so it is possible to die in lava, and all of your gear would burn up. The End is most like outer space, so it is possible to die in the void, and all of your equipment will disappear. Not only that, if the wither dies above lava or in the void, you would also lose the nether star that it drops. This means that the Overworld is the best place to fight the wither. However, the End has no lack of endermen, who the wither will anger, allowing you to kill it more quickly from half health. In addition, you can "jam" the wither under the bedrock portal, which would neutralize its maneuverability. If you do choose the End, make sure to battle on a large island so you don't fall off. This method of "jamming" the wither under bedrock can also be performed using the ceiling of the Nether, making the Nether a feasible place to fight the Wither for players who haven't yet killed the Ender Dragon. (Jamming doesn't work on Bedrock Edition, so beware.)
Location
There are many places in the Overworld, but some places are better than others for the wither fight. You can either fight underground or on the surface. It is best to fight underground, because on the surface, the wither can easily fly away from you and dodge your attacks, and would also attack other mobs nearby. It would also blow up huge craters in the surface, or may even destroy your buildings. Therefore, it is best to fight underground, so that it is in a confined space. However, the biome in which the cave is in may make a difference. If the cave is in the mountains, there may be infested blocks hidden among the rocks. If these are blown up by the wither, they would release the silverfish trapped inside, which would also attack you. Therefore, don't pick a cave in the mountains. Make sure the cave isn't too far away from your base, in case you die, but also don't spawn it to close to your base because there is a good chance it will get destroyed.
Base
Once you pick a spot to fight, you should build a small base. You should build the base out of obsidian. Even though the wither can sometimes break obsidian, it can do so only with its blue skull and by dashing. The common black skulls cannot break obsidian, so it is the best block to use. Build the base in an open area, so that you can hide behind it if needed. Make the only entrance to the base narrow enough so that the wither cannot enter it. Make it one block wide and two blocks tall, just enough for you to fit through. A narrower entrance may also prevent the wither from shooting you through the door. In case the wither fires a blue skull at your base, build at least three layers of obsidian for extra insurance.

Bedrock Edition
Unlike Java Edition, the Bedrock Edition's withering attack method is more fixed and easy to guess, and the withering attack method can reduce the possibility of being hit by withering.
The first stage after the Wither Generation explosion: It follows and aims at the target, firing three black wither heads at the target in turn and several additional blue wither heads depending on the difficulty (attention!). The Black Wither Head is faster and more regular than the Blue Withering Head, and the Black Skull is the first to dodge! )。 After firing, it will quickly move to another place for the next wave of attack after a short period of time in the air, during which the wither will keep a certain distance from the target and try not to hurt him. As the amount of withering blood decreases, the frequency of withering attacks will gradually increase. Simply put: start - launch - stranded - move - return to the beginning
The second stage when the wither puts on the armor: Immune to long-range damage, no longer keeping a distance from the target, and gaining the ability to charge, it will launch two waves of attacks on the target, each wave will fire three black wither heads and an additional blue wither head in turn. After two waves of offensives, they will rest for a while and start sprinting to change their position. Simply put: start - launch - stranded - launch - stranded - stranded - sprint - return to the beginning
When the first stage of the wither shoots the Black Wither Head, keep moving around the withering spirit clockwise or counterclockwise to avoid the first three black wither heads. After a wave of attacks, you can attack with a bow or other damage-based ranged weapon, or eat food and drink potions to prepare for the next hold. After the withering spirit moves, it will directly start the next wave of offensive, if you don't want to be knifed, please don't be greedy!
The withering second stage attack has changed, it is immune to ranged attacks and gains the ability to sprint. And it is only two waves of attacks that will have a dwell time, and after the dwell time there will be a collision, we must wait for it to finish sprinting, and use the time of the two waves to move in one direction to avoid the black skull while getting as close as possible to the wither. However, before it enters the retention time, please keep your distance from the withering spirit to avoid being accidentally injured by the withering spirit, once the detention time has passed, the withering spirit will make a collision action, and when the collision action occurs, please bypass the withering spirit and wait for the next detention time.
Cobblestone generator suffocation
A more advanced tactic that is very rewarding would be to construct a cobblestone generator-powered grid above the player, spawn the Wither about 15 blocks away, and stand under the grid. The wither will fly toward the player, but it would be kept at the edge of the grid, constantly being pushed back by the cobblestone which is generating faster than what the wither can break. This allows the player to stand still and shoot the wither without retaliation, until the Wither is at half health, where it will fly toward the player through the grid, allowing the player to easily kill the Wither with a sword. In addition to that, the player can rig dispensers about 15 blocks away to periodically shoot splash potions of health, which heal the player and damage the wither.
Obsidian containment
It is also possible to kill the wither by summoning it in a small obsidian chamber. When it escapes, have several people fire bows at it from all directions. This negates its explosion and forces it to attack one target at a time.
Bedrock ceiling containment
This method is easy to pull off in Bedrock Edition, where the withers can't be immobilized by pushing it into bedrock. It works by getting the wither up into an uneven bedrock ceiling, where it cannot hit the player, but they can hit the Wither. This method is much easier than a regular wither fight, and they can do it without potions or apples.
To pull this off, go to the Nether and dig up into netherrack until they start seeing bedrock. The player want to be 2 levels down from the first layer that has bedrock blocks (Y level 121). Dig out a 3×3×3 room for the Wither to spawn in, as well as a 1-block wide 2-block high tunnel for them to hide in while waiting for the Wither to grow. A tunnel of about 40 blocks deep should do. Now, spawn the Wither in the 3×3 room, and run into the tunnel until the player is 15 blocks away. After the explosion, it is likely that the Wither will be floating up into the uneven bedrock ceiling. The player should be able to get a vantage point where they can shoot it with arrows until it drops to half health. At this point, it is possible that the Wither may hit the player occasionally with a skull, but ideally it is trying to fire them through bedrock blocks and thus not able to get the player. If they get hit, retreat a little and heal. Most importantly, try to stay on the same level that they started out with, because if they have descent too far, the Wither will do so as well and there will be no more bedrock blocks to block the skulls it fires.
Once the wither has dropped to half health, try to get close enough such that the player can sneak in hits with a sword. Here too the Wither should be trying to fire directly at the player, with bedrock blocks between them and the Wither. Try to hit its tail. This will trigger an animation where the Wither won't shoot, and the tail ends up being in the same location again. They can hit it over and over until it's dead.
Naturally generated Wither Killers
During world generation, after bedrock is generated, a pool of water is sometimes formed at bedrock level and removes large amounts of bedrock. This can form additional naturally generated wither killer locations, allowing a player to spawn a wither in a location with enough bedrock so that the wither suffocates.
These wither killer locations can be found manually by mining at bedrock level. They can also be found using analysis scripts, as explained in more detail in the following video.
End city gateway suffocation
Use at your own risk.
This method allows for suffocation of Withers without actually using any weapons. It does require that the player have defeated the Ender Dragon, and have access to an outer End City island with an alternate way back to the main End Island.
Previously, the player could destroy the end gateway using a dispenser with a water bucket, but the player now needs to summon a non-trapped wither. In addition, the player no longer obtains the end gateway block.
End portal suffocation
This method utilizes the underside of the main end portal in the End to suffocate the wither. It requires that the player has killed the ender dragon.
Dig out a 5x5x2 hole underneath the bedrock of the end portal. Make sure to leave a staircase to exit easily. Replace the exact center 3x3 area 3 blocks underneath the bedrock with obsidian. This is very important, as if it is not the exact center of where the portal is, the wither can escape the portal and start blasting the endermen. Place soul sand on top of the center obsidian block, and place three more soul sand on any side of the obsidian. Place three wither skulls on the side of the 3 soul sand, and the wither will spawn. Run away to avoid the explosion. After the explosion, you can simply run back and hit the wither with your sword. The wither will be unable to hit you back.
Guerrilla warfare
Summon the withering spirit and immediately stay away. Do not stay by while the withering spirit is charging, as when it is fully charged, it will produce a violent explosion (more intense than TNT and lightning creesh).
After the explosion, go back and hit the wither, and use the Splash [Healing Potion II and the Golden Apple at the right time. When the Withering Spirit has only 50% HP left, use Power Potion II and kill it with your Diamond Sword or Nether Alloy Sword. It is a simple yet effective way to defeat withers in less than five minutes without much effort. However, be careful, once wither has only half blood left, it will have the "withering armor", and in Bedrock Edition will also summon an additional 3-4 withering skeletons (except on easy difficulty).
Melee Mage
If you want to easily kill the wither (without armor) on a difficult difficulty, first you'll need a diamond sword with Undead Slayer V attached, Power Potion II, Night Vision Potion (optional), an enchanted golden apple, a shield, and a bucket of milk. Dig about 20 blocks down from the ground, and dig a space three blocks high, 4 blocks wide and 10 blocks long, and place a 2×2 stone wall 5 blocks from one end. Using the Power Potion II, summon the Withering at one end and immediately hide behind the stone wall. When the wither is charged to three-quarters of its HP, eat the enchanted golden apple, switch the shield to the deputy and switch the diamond sword or the Nether alloy sword to the main hand, use shield to resist explosions. Then rush over and hack it (usually ten hits are enough) to ensure that you can defeat it in 20 seconds (the enchanted golden apple's health regeneration lasts for 20 seconds). Drink milk immediately after death to eliminate the withering effect.
Note:'Put some Cobblestone in the quick inventory so that the player can jump through pillars to get close to the withered spirit that accidentally flies away.
Snow Golem Assist Tactics
To make this method most efficient, dig an obsidian compartment of 10×10×3 and summon more than 30 [snow golem. The role of the snow golem here is to attract the fire power of the withered spirit and limit its activities. Of course, bring your best sword (such as the Undead Slayer V curse), armor, and potions to victory in less than a minute with little to no damage. Note that this method will limit combat environment, as snow golems melt easily.
Tunnel Warfare
This is an easier strategy to implement. First, it was dug close to the bedrock, and then a tunnel was carved out one block wide, two blocks high, and more than 30 blocks long. Dig a small space at one end of the channel. Summon the withering spirit here and immediately run to the other end. From time to time, turn around and shoot the withered spirit with an arrow, ignore the withering bombardment, just walk towards the front of the tunnel. When the withering spirit is half bloody, turn around and rush towards the withering spirit and slash it with your sword. As long as you can use the Splash Healing Potion at a high hand speed, you will defeat it with an iron armor.
This tunneling strategy has a slightly more complex but fun variant – laying out TNT in the tunnels you dig. For example, you can build a tunnel like the one shown. This is based on your ability to predict when the withering spirit that is constantly destroying blocks will reach close enough to the TNT you placed, and if you are accurate, you can make the TNT explode at the right time, causing great damage to the wither. Be sure not to place TNTs close to the space where the withering spirit was born, as they will be destroyed by the explosion when the withering spirit is generated. The disadvantage of this strategy is that it is difficult for players to discern the timing of TNT. If the action is too fast and the TNT is detonated in advance, the explosion will not achieve the desired effect. If it is one step slower, the wither destroys the TNT before it explodes. Plus, you may need a lot of TNT to kill the wither completely, so you'll need to dig a long tunnel. Therefore, the use of a bow (and a sword after withering half-blood) is still highly recommended in places where there is no TNT in the tunnel. If you don't have enough TNT, make sure to carve an additional tunnel on top of the TNT tunnel to solve withering with a sword/bow when needed.
Kagirock method
There's a very simple way to spawn a withering spirit — the player can push its head into bedrock on top of [Nether]] and kill it in the simplest and most brutal way. All you need for this process is an axe, a tie rod, and a piston.
- Find an area at the top of the Nether with 3×3 bedrock as shown in the figure, with a piece of air in between.
- Dig down two blocks and place obsidian.
- Stand by and put a T-shape with soul sand or soul earth on obsidian.
- Go up and it, and the spirit will die!
Note: 'The best environment to use this method is Nether. But beware of other threats, especially lava hidden in Nether Rock. See the video below for details:
Another option is to use Return to Portal to trap the wither:
- 确保返回传送门底部和中央岛屿之间有2个方块高的空隙. This can be done by digging or placing blocks.
- 找到地面处与返回传送门中心轴对齐的方块并标记.
- 通过放置方块来生成凋灵, and make sure the Soul Sand "Tail" block is right above the marked block, otherwise the withering will travel to the Overworld and wreak devastating damage there.
- 跑至14个方块外 to prevent the explosion when spawning from harming the player.
- 击杀凋灵.
Note:Details are below:
Stone brush machine asphyxiation method
A more advanced practice is to build a mesh generated by [ Stone Brushing Machine on top of the player. Spawn about 15 blocks away and stay under the grid. The Wither will fly towards the player, but it will always be pushed to the edge of the grid by the continuous flow of cobblestones, because the cobblestones can be generated faster than the Wither can destroy the cobblestones. The player can stand still and shoot the Wither without any blows until the Wither's HP is less than half, at which point it flies across the grid towards the player, allowing the player to kill the wither more quickly with the sword. In addition to these, players can also build potion launchers in a nearby area about 15 blocks away to periodically heal players and damage withers by firing healing potions.
Obsidian Gabions
It can also be killed by summoning a wither in a small obsidian sabion. As it escapes, let several people shoot at it from all sides. This counteracts its explosive power, forcing it to attack only one target at a time.
Bedrock ceiling top
This method is easily implemented in Bedrock Edition, where withering cannot be fixed by pushing it into Bedrock. It works by placing the wither on top of an uneven bedrock ceiling, where it can't attack the player, but the player can hit the wither. This method is much simpler than regular tactics, and players can do it without potions or golden apples.
To do this, go to the Nether and dig up Nether Rock up to the bedrock. From the first layer of bedrock (Y=121) down 2 layers, the player digs a 3×3×3 space for the withering spirit to spawn, and a tunnel 1 block wide and 2 blocks high, allowing the player to hide while waiting for the withering spirit to recharge. A tunnel about 40 blocks deep will do. Now, spawn in 3×3 spaces and run into the tunnel until the player leaves 15 blocks. After the explosion, the wither is likely to float to the uneven bedrock ceiling. The player should be able to get a vantage point to shoot until it drops half of its health. During this time, the Wither may occasionally attack the player with the Wither's Head, but ideally, it tries to launch the Wither's Head through bedrock so that it can't hit the player. If the player is hit, retreat a little and then regain life. Most importantly, the player should try to stay at the beginning height, because if the player descends too far, the wither will also descend, and as a result, there will be no more bedrock to block its launch of the withered head.
Once the wither has dropped to half health, get as close as possible to ensure that the player can sneak up with the sword. This is where the Wither will also attempt to fire directly at the player, but there is a bedrock in between. Try hitting it on the tail. This will trigger an animation that causes the wither to fail to launch and the tail eventually returns to its place. The player can continue to attack it until death.
End Folding Door Asphyxiation
Use at your own risk.
This method allows suffocation without the use of any weapons. It requires the player to have defeated the Ender Dragon, enter an outer island, and return to the central island from another path.
Previously, the player could destroy the End Jump Gate with a [Bucket with [Bucket]], but now the player needs to summon an untrapped wither. In addition, players can no longer earn the End Folding Gate Block.
Return to Portal Suffocation
This method uses the underside of the End Return portal to suffocate the wither. It requires that the player has killed the ender dragon.
Dig 5×5×2 holes under the endgate bedrock. Be sure to leave stairs for easy access. Replace the area 3×3 just below block 3 from bedrock with obsidian. This is very important, if it is not the very center of the portal, the wither escapes the portal and begins to bombard the enderman. Place the Soul Sand on top of the center obsidian and three more Soul Sand on either side of the obsidian. Place three withered skulls on the sides of the 3 soul sands and the withering spirits will spawn. Escape to avoid being injured. When the explosion is over, you can run back and hit the wither with your sword. The withering spirit was powerless to fight back. (Expires after 1.15)
(Tested on Java Edition)
You will need 64 iron blocks, 16 pumpkins, and a pickaxe (no armor or weapon needed)
You need to find a cave, preferably with a dead end, spawn lots of iron golems, then spawn the Wither inside of the iron golems. After that you need to run away as to not get killed by the explosions and wait, this method is pretty much risk free, but requires lots of iron. The Wither is killed in about 15 seconds using this method.
CubeKat9555's option
(Tested on Bedrock Edition 1.18.xx )
You will need at least enchanted iron armor, preferably diamond. A diamond or netherite sword. A bow, and a stack of arrows (unless you have infinity). A pickaxe for getting underground. And a shield for blocking attacks.
Tunnel down to where stone starts to give way to deepslate, tunnel at least 20 blocks from where you land and carve out a 6*6*6 chamber, here you will spawn the wither. Build the soulsand structure and place two of the skulls. Turn the difficulty to "Easy". Then place the last skull, when the wither is charging, run back to the end of the tunnel, if you cannot get far enough, use the shield to lessen the damage. After it explodes, move towards the wither until you see its tail. Shoot at the wither's tail with your bow as you maintain careful distance, move back in the tunnel if you can. When it has half health, charge at it with your sword and strafe hit so the skulls will not hit you. When the wither's last damage point is depleted, it will explode after several seconds. Move back into your tunnel to avoid this, possibly using your shield if you are too close. Gather the nether star and return above ground.
Since this involves changing difficulty, this may be frowned upon or not possible on other players servers. But if you want a nether star on single player without much risk, especially on bedrock, or if you have no prior experience, then this is a considerable option.
Bee Strategy
- Breed several hundred bees in a closed structure.
- Build the wither nearby and release the bees.
- Sit back and relax as the Wither quickly succumbs to sheer collective fury of your formidable swarm.
Note: This strategy may only be feasible in Bedrock. In Java, it is extremely difficult or impossible for the bees to pack in close enough and attack fast enough to overcome the wither's regeneration abilities. In one test (playing Java 1.20.1 on easy difficulty), it required over 4,500 bees and about an hour (game running at 500-1000 MSPT the entire time) to defeat the wither while contained in a 30x30x30 enclosure of unbreakable bedrock (which would not be available in survival). In another test, nearly 5,000 bees failed to to kill the wither when it was able to move freely.
