If you're like some of us, you think Villagers are interesting. And since 1.3, we could get items that were hard or just couldn't get (e.g. Getting Melons through Trading instead of wasting time by raiding abandoned mineshafts). Even better, we even saw that Notch is a fan of SpongeBob SquarePants. However, if you're also like some of the Minecraft Wiki community, it's hard to look for natural Villages. But, no problem! Just make your own village!
Spawner Trap
Zombie villagers can be spawned by zombie spawners and It's much easier doing this way.
Materials:
A pickaxe (preferably Iron)
1 Nearby infinite water source
1-3 Bucket(s)
Steps:
Step 1. Secure the spawner. Just place at least 3 torches on it.
Step 2. Get rid of all of the Cobblestone/Mossy Cobblestone.
Step 3. Make a 11x11x1 area below the spawner, then 9x9, 7x7, all the way down to a 1x1x1 (1 Block) hole.
Step 4. Fill up the pit with water.
Step 5. Dig at least 2 blocks below the hole, then make a way of entry.
Step 6. Place some cobblestone in front of the hole. On the other end of it, place a Hopper.
Step 7. Get rid of the stone & place a Chest instead.
Step 8. Brew 2 Splash Potions of Weakness and get 2 non-enchanted Golden Apples.
Step 9. Whenever a Zombie Villager comes out, quickly seal it off, then cure them by throwing them the potion and feeding them the apple. Wait for awhile, then it will come out as a normal Villager, repeat this step at least once.

Tips:
- Mix in mossy cobble with cobble for an old look. Similarly, mixing mossy and cracked variations of stone brick with normal stone brick gives that old look.
- To make it look even older, "destroy" parts of a building.
- Mine out most of a building and spread these blocks out along the ground.
- A tree in the middle of a wreckage makes the area look yet older: the larger, the longer it looks like its been destroyed for.
- Adding vines and slabs makes the place look more customised. You can stop the vines growing by placing a button on the place you want it to stop. Buttons look almost invisible mixed in with other rock.
- Alternatively, for a fresh-looking destruction, netherrack sunk with ground level, set on fire, and no mossy blocks or plants (but yes cracked blocks!), make the place look like the disaster took place minutes ago.
You might want to use a resource pack to make the place look even older.
