Dispensers?

Speculation

The Enderdragon Egg could be related to these eggs. (Just shifted this bit of speculation over from article to talk page). Zogen :3 22:53, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

Maybe, maybe not. Since we know nothing of its eventual purpose, it's far too early to say. Shellface 23:01, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

.JPG?

…Damn. Can I request someone hastily get a .png in here? I'm having problems getting the new .jar to work, so I myself can't. Then we could get the grid files done, and a .gif of them too. Shellface

I tried to yesterday, but it kept saying something about the wrong MIME type. I selected the 16x16 around the egg, pasted it, resized it to 128x128 I think, and saved it as a .png. No idea why it's not accepting the image. Funky3000 14:30, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
Are you sure it has a proper filename? e.g. [filename].png.png? Even then, it would be nicer to have essentially the same image as there is now, but better quality(read:.png). Shellface 16:48, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
I believe the wrong MIME type error is since you are trying to replace a JPG with a PNG. If you were to upload a PNG as a new file and then get the JPG deleted, that should work. I don't know of any alternatives way of changing file types. Ordona 02:54, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
After saving 20 or so pictures to my computer, I finally have a 64x64 .gif done. And good quality at that. Thank god Paint.net allows high quality .gifs.Funky3000 05:02, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, but I already finished setting up my Gif and putting it in, as well as the 20 32x32 inv images. I even edited the Item template to support twenty inv images, which I made sure to also add to the documentation for the template. MegaScience 05:37, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
In regards to the MIME type error. If you want to replace a jpg with a png, you have to change the link on the page to be File:<filename>.jpg. You can't simply upload a png over the top of a jpg. The existing jpg does NOT have to be deleted first. -- Wynthyst User Wynthyst sig icon talk 05:49, 10 December 2011 (UTC)

add names and descriptions to the eggs

the eggs should be sepparated and named soon.

Color Explanations

Maybe we could also have a chart for each color (maybe a picture) and the mob it produces.

Spider Jockeys

Has anyone tested clicking on a spider with a skeleton egg yet? Funky3000 14:27, 9 December 2011 (UTC) I'm pretty sure that it's spiders that spawn jockeys, and I made a huge amount of spiders, but no jockeys.

You can't spawn a Spider Jockey by shooting Skeleton eggs at a Spider. Spiders, when spawned, is given a random number. If the random number is the same as a ceratin one, then the game will allow to have a Skeleton riding on the spider.(ex:Let's say that 6183 is the Skeleton Upgrade. then the game produces these numbers for the spiders: SpiderA:7642, SpiderB:0423, SpiderC:1469, Spider D:6183. When these four Spiders spawn, only SpiderD becomes a Spider Jockey.)

Dispensing

They should spawn a mob if ejected from a dispenser. That would be amazing for adventure maps.

[pressure plate step] 'click' "That's a very niccce everything you have there..."

I was wondering whether this was included or not - like you said, it would have great use in adventure maps. So at the moment these eggs can't be dispensed? -- Carralpha 19:52, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
No they can't.
^Sign yo posts^ And no they definitely can't be dispensed. I've tried many permutations and no success. Shame. Zogen :3 18:38, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

Despawn

Do they despawn?

This is wierd

Why add chicken eggs, when in creative make regular eggs spawn chickens EVERY time? From Moi, Ajc_1254 00:00, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

Because 1: Those are regular eggs that spawn Baby Chickens. 2: The point is to spawn fully functional mobs the same way as they'd be naturally spawned. MegaScience 06:40, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

Name Change Suggestion

I've found it weird the page is called "Spawner Egg." It doesn't sound right at all to me. Does anyone else think we should rename it "Spawn Egg?" It's also closer to correct since the base of the item is called "Spawn" and it is an Egg for the such. MegaScience 06:40, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

Help

How do I get these in Creative mode? I can't find them.

Im having the same problem... they wont apear nomater how many times I force update... :(
Are you two using a texture pack? If so, switch back to the default Minecraft texture pack and see if the eggs show up. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 23:02, 20 December 2011 (UTC)

Yeah im having the same problem. Running the default texture pack.

Forcing update will update to last STABLE version, so ou must download weekly release and replace minecraft.jar manually. Xeoxer 16:17, 22 December 2011 (UTC)

I'm just going to change a thing. The example.

The example says "/give PLAYERNAME 381 1 63". Right above that though, it says you can't spawn Snow Golems, Giants, Spider Jockeys, and ENDERDRAGONS! xD alexkill51 - 22 December 2011

Unavailable = not available in Creative Mode Item Selection, but still accessible using SMP command "/give". Maybe you could re-phrase the description, so it will be more clear? (sorry, my English isn't very good) 96.61.163.215 20:35, 24 December 2011 (UTC)

wat

do they still work if you put them in a chest or something and then change to survival?
