Add a link[]
Some users might not know how paramaters work, they only know how to do a |<paramater name>= thing. For these users, we need a way to give them an explanation, and the way to do that is link the template to mw:Help:Templates. 71.212.10.80 13:41, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
- In my opinion, adding a link I think would simply confuse readers into thinking it is a template, since
{{t}}does links. - It would overall make more sense to instead do what Wikipedia does in this case and set the display to the parameter name = value thing. The main reason I have not done that is because in a few cases I have used this template to represent a case where something defaults to some text containing a parameter.
- Overall though, users here who would end up on template documentation or discussion should either understand how to use a parameter, or be able to learn rather quickly. –KnightMiner t/c 18:54, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
