Survival Test

Okay, been dreading this but Survival Test does not deserve to be in the timeline. No? --Scykei 07:55, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

Some reasons why Survival Test is not under a new Development Cycle in Minecraft, but is under Classic:

  1. It uses the same engine as Creative, having the same lighting technology, map generation.
  2. Save file can be exported and imported to and from Creative and Survival Test.
  3. Has the same version number as Creative.
  4. Even after Survival Test is released, Creative still receives updates, proof here. If it's truly a part of the development cycle, the previous version will not be updated. Let's say if a Beta version is released, the Alpha version will no longer get updates. That old stage should be phased out.

This proves both Game Modes, Creative and Survival, are under Classic. I cannot stress how irritated I get when people mix up the Development Cycles and Game Modes. Survival only refers to the game mode, and not the development stages or anything else. --Scykei 08:33, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
