Survival Test
Okay, been dreading this but Survival Test does not deserve to be in the timeline. No? --Scykei 07:55, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
Some reasons why Survival Test is not under a new Development Cycle in Minecraft, but is under Classic:
- It uses the same engine as Creative, having the same lighting technology, map generation.
- Save file can be exported and imported to and from Creative and Survival Test.
- Has the same version number as Creative.
- Even after Survival Test is released, Creative still receives updates, proof here. If it's truly a part of the development cycle, the previous version will not be updated. Let's say if a Beta version is released, the Alpha version will no longer get updates. That old stage should be phased out.
Bold text This proves both Game Modes, Creative and Survival, are under Classic. I cannot stress how irritated I get when people mix up the Development Cycles and Game Modes. Survival only refers to the game mode, and not the development stages or anything else. --Scykei 08:33, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
basicley you cant download this and whoever griefied this get lost
- look, half life 2, team fortress 2 and portal are on the same engine. they aren't game modes. this is the same.
- end of discussion. lets not turn this into a massive thing again >.> --Kizzycocoa 04:16, 23 November 2010 (CST)
- It might be another milestone but it is NOT a new step in the dev cycle because of point #4. --Scykei 04:27, 23 November 2010 (CST)
- it is part of the development cycle, and the first test of mobs. sure, the other was updated again. but this was part of the development cycle. it explored item dropping and mobs.--Kizzycocoa 04:31, 23 November 2010 (CST)

Wiki help
I don't feel that the wiki help pages belong on this template. They really have nothing to do with the game. -- Wynthyst

- I agree with Wynthyst.--Yurisho 10:18, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
- Where do you think they should be, then? I don't disagree with your point, but it seemed unnessicary to make a seperate template just for that help section.--Gemberkoekje 10:19, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
- Is there anywhere to put it that it will fit? no, so make a new one...--Yurisho 10:22, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
- Also, my reasoning to put it under the Minecraft template is to group it with the new user tutorial section. It DOES make sense, in my opinion, to keep those sections grouped.. --Gemberkoekje 10:24, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
