items-individual pages?
I believe the items should have individual pages. there simply too many items to group in tools, materials etc. thoughts?--Kizzycocoa 08:27, 9 November 2010 (CST)
- I agree, if there's enough to say about an item to warrant its own page. Some of them might only be a line or two of text? DannyF1966 08:37, 9 November 2010 (CST)
- The lack of information for each tools (we really can't have dozens of pages with barely any lines of text) is an issue here. I think we should clean up the existing pages instead, i.e. add links to related pages and such.--Quatroking - Garble Garble! 14:39, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
- My suggestions:
- Coal needs its own item page. It currently redirects to the ore block page.
- Record should be split up into Gold Record and Green Record, it is very likely that there will be more record types available with future updates (See Tutorials/Minecraft Sound Directory)
- Same with Apples: Red Apple and Golden Apple
- Not sure about Armor, but it would make sense, too.

--- What about flint?
Records/Music section?
I think it would be best to have Records in their own section; they are an item with a specific use. Plus, there is likely to be more of them in the future.
Template with images available for review
As with the Blocks template, I've put a version of this template on my user page so that people can see what it looks like and decide if we want to include the images. DannyF1966 04:23, 10 November 2010 (CST)
- It looks amazing. ADD IT :P--Kizzycocoa 10:24, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
- Aaaand done :-) DannyF1966 05:11, 10 November 2010 (CST)
- Looks great, but I'd use the iron version of the weapons, armors and tools. I think it will then look more decent and neutral, compared to the current "look here, diamond!" style :D --Barracuda 13:13, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
- I used the diamond ones because the infoboxes show diamond tools as well, feel free to change it if you think it'll look better though :-) DannyF1966 07:53, 10 November 2010 (CST)
- I added diamond ones as obsidian required it. an iron pick was misleading for putting onto the obsidian page.--Kizzycocoa 08:01, 10 November 2010 (CST)
- The side-effect it that it looks like you need a diamond shovel to dig dirt.. maybe the infobox template needs updating to show different coloured tools as necessary (i.e. wood shovel for dirt, iron pickaxe for diamonds) DannyF1966 08:07, 10 November 2010 (CST)
- The gist I got when I suggested that was no-one could be asked to do it. and I too could not be asked XP mainly due to editing the block template. god, that's a pain I broke it 9+ times.--Kizzycocoa 14:10, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
- I could give it a go :-) Is the "tool to use" section supposed to be the minimum tool or the recommended tool? Because the minimum tool for some blocks is actually the player's arm! DannyF1966 14:12, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
- the reccommended tool.--Kizzycocoa 14:17, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
