This template is for use on pages with old or outdated information (for example, after an update) and there has been no rewrite yet based on those changes. Use the template on pages exclusively with outdated information, not on pages with cluttered information or that lack information in general. To mark cluttered pages use {{cleanup}}, to mark pages that need general rewriting use {{rewrite}} and to mark pages that lack information use {{missing information}}.

Usage

{{update|1|section=Optional section|innacurate=Specificator|nocat=Optional category remover}}

• The 1 parameter adds an additional reason note to the template.
• The section parameter changes the template to a section style.
• The inaccurate parameter changes the message displayed and sets the article into the Category:Obsolete information instead of the Category:Needs updating.
• The nocat parameter prevents the template to add the article into a category.
