This template should be used on any pages that should be deleted as soon as possible. These may include pages such as vandalism-only articles or copyright violations. Never use this template if there could be any dispute as to whether the page should be deleted or not - use {{delete}} instead. Any pages using this template are automatically added to Category:Pending speedy deletion.

Usage

{{Speedy delete}} or {{SD}}

You can also specify a reason as to why the page should be speedy deleted.

{{Speedy delete|The page is only gibberish.}} creates

This page has been tagged for speedy deletion. ^{[delete] [links]}

This is because the page solely consists of vandalism, spam, hoax content, or illegal content.
If the page does not meet any of these criteria, remove this template from the page (except if you were the creator of this page).
The specific reason is: The page is only gibberish.

Shortcuts

There are some shortcuts you can use for reasons - that is, you can put just one short word for the first parameter and it will create a whole reason. The following table shows these shortcuts:

Syntax	When to use	Reason it creates
`{{Speedy delete\|copyvio}}`	Any type of article that consists solely of material that violates copyright laws	This page is a copyright violation because it is copied directly from a non-free work.
`{{Speedy delete\|vandal}}` or `{{Speedy delete\|spam}}`	Any type of article that only contains material that is vandalism, spam, disruptive editing, harassment, or personal attacks.	This page consists solely of vandalism or spam.
`{{Speedy delete\|blank}}`	Any type of article that does not have any content. If the title of the article could be that of a constructive article (e.g., a snapshot that has been released), it is recommended to wait at least a minute before adding this, as sometimes editors will create a page with little or no content, and then add to it in their next edit, which usually takes place soon afterwards.	This page has no content in it, and is therefore meaningless as an article.
`{{Speedy delete\|hoax}}`	Any type of article that contains information about a feature or update that there is no content for, such as an article on zebras. If it is about a feature that is planned to be added in an update but has not been released in a development version yet, it's usually best to use `{{delete}}` instead, as this could be good faith.	This page was deliberately created to mislead or misform users, and is regarded as a hoax page.
