This template is used to mark a page for moving to a different name. It is preferable to start a discussion on the talk page of the page when using this template, to prevent potential conflicts.

Pages with this template on are added to Category:Pending move.

Usage

• The 1 parameter set the suggested new name for the page.
• The 2 parameter set another suggested new name for the page.
• The reason parameter add an additional reason note.
• The discussAnchor parameter changes the section name where the "discuss" button will lead on the talk page. It is added to the default talk page or the one set by the parameter below.
• The discussPage parameter changes the talk page where the "discuss" button will lead.
• The export parameter changes the message of the template to one suited for exporting to other wikis. Also adds the page to the Category:Pending exportation instead of the normal one.
• The admin parameter adds an extra note which says that the move can only be done by an administrator. Also adds the page to the Category:Pending move requiring admin instead of the normal one.

  • {{merging}} for indicate that the merging process has begun. It is recommended to use it on large merging processes.
