Zombie: Hostile or neutral?

I was building my house in 1.1 and a zombie was in it and it DIDN'T kill me! I attacked the zombie and it started attacking me. Can someone please clarify this?

Were you playing on Creative mode? -- Orthotope 12:59, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

Chunk Rendering?

I made a nomad world, and was traveling. I was at least 3000 blocks from the spawn point. In the middle of the day, I entered a desert. Far in the distance, I saw fire animation, then it went away. I thought nothing of it. A few minutes later, not enough for items to despawn, I saw rotten flesh in that spot. I realize it probably a zombie that caught on fire from the sun, but what was it doing there in the first place? It was the first time I loaded the chunk playing. 72.209.199.2 21:28, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

It's totally normal, at night time when I was playing survival, I look out on to the distance then turned my back for 4-5 seconds and looked at the distance again then a creeper was right in front of me! So yeah, it isn't a chunk error it was probably just a zombie who was at a dark position in the morning then it must've wandered off onto the desert then died because of the sun. Thanks! H_Drake | talk contribs

I realize that, but how would the zombie have spawned (or moved) in a chunk that had never been loaded before, day or night? 72.209.199.2 21:46, 30 December 2012 (UTC)

Zombies surviving in caves?

Hi i just read that zombies only die at day if they are in sunlight. Does this mean that i can find zombies, say underground even through its day on the surface? --Taurentius 13:24, 5 February 2011 (UTC) Yes this does, they spawn anywhere the light level is below seven, so they will spawn in caves even if it's broad daylight out. Timberdoodle 11:30, 9 May 2011 (UTC)

"Their attack deals 3 hearts of damage."

Is this statement really correct? A quick look at Health/Damage#Damage_Inflicted_by_Mobs says they deal 1.5/2.5/3.5 (easy/normal/hard) hearts of damage. It would be great if someone could confirm or deny a change in damage calculations. --DrPhil 01:44, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

Yep! Unless you are wearing armour. At Hard difficulty all the mobs definitely have their attack damage higher. Thanks!H_Drake | talk contribs

Questionable statement

"As of the September 3, 2009 update, zombies are the fastest mobs in the game." Is this statement correct? I remember spiders being a lot faster (but possibly due to their jumping behaviour). Even if so, it should be rewritten. --BlueLegion 15:05, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

That was before spiders were added. Zombies and skeletons were both the second mob added to the game. SuperNaw ~ the creator of the city dimension. 21:03, 21 November 2012 (UTC)

Feathers

Why do they drop feathers?

They drink Red Bull. Karsten 11:53, 21 November 2010 (CST

Thats probably also why they're dead. ICantThinkOfAGoodUsername 20:01, 15 January 2011 (UTC) In all seriousness, they dropped feathers because Notch didn't know what to make them drop before he added chickens. Daniels Grant1 13:11, 9 August 2011 (UTC)Daniels_Grant1

I believe they were orignally just a reskin of the chickens with similar, if not identical behavior at first. I am not 100% certain on this though. -- Choolio123 11:18, 9 February 2012
I found it funny to believe when the zombies aren't chasing you, they're pulling feathers out of chickens and sticking them into their rotting shirt BazzarLarry 16:26, 25 August 2012 (UTC)

The truth is Zombies dropped feathers before 1.8 because notch did not know what zombies should have dropped. SuperNaw ~ the creator of the city dimension. 21:06, 21 November 2012 (UTC)

Zombies to chickens?

The statement "Zombies will turn into chickens if the game is suddenly switched to peaceful." seems bizarre to me. I often switch from having mobs to peaceful and have never seen a zombie turn into a chicken. Perhaps this was a glitch from before I started playing, or was a glitch directly after an update (and was quickly fixed), but without proof as to any scenario doing this I think it should be removed. Frozenne 05:31, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

Zombie Feathers??? ZOMBIE feathers????????? I have no idea what they were thinking when they made zombies drop feathers. You forgot you sig there llovekittens, they drop feathers because there weren't chickens then and because Notch didn't know what they should drop. Also I've not seen that happen. In short they drop feathers because the almighty Notch decided to. Timberdoodle 23:25, 11 May 2011 (UTC)

Zombies will attack other mobs

i was being chased by a zombie and a skeleton when one of the skeletons arrows hit the zombie. The zombie turned around, killed the skeleton and continued following me dont think this has been said Saspcioll29 18:45, 3 April 2011 (UTC)Rafa

Nah, that's the skeleton. Sometimes, it's arrow will hit another hostile mob (in this case, an zombie) and it will attack the skeleton. that's what happened. 200.60.254.86 00:21, 25 September 2012 (UTC)

When a mob hurts another mob for example say that theres a creeper in front of a skeleton but the skeleton was aiming for you but he missed and hit the creeper, the creeper would get angry and go for revenge but the skeleton didn't know so the skeleton kept on shooting at you. but the creeper got close to the skeleton and blew up. so if a hostile/neutral mob hits each other accidentally the mob that got hit would want to kill the mob that hit it and wont pay attention to the player until that mob is dead--enderman482026 01:49, 16 March 2013 (UTC)

I think it's 16 blocks, see: Mob#Trivia --mgr 15:56, 28 January 2012 (UTC)

I've heard a zombie from about 200 blocks away. It also began to follow me to attack from about that far. --Noa-constrictor 02:31, 7 July 2013 (UTC)

attacking skeletons

I was messing around in creative (in the latest release) and a skeleton shot a zombie, but the zombie didn't attack the skeleton. Was that something that was supposed to happen or a bug? would some other people mind testing this? --Minecraftdino 18:17, 29 February 2012 (UTC)

I tested it from closest to farthest length when the skeleton shot the zombie close up the zombie killed it. when the skeleton shot the zombie from far away it just stood there so i think that it depends on how far or how close the skeleton and the zombie were for it to kill that mob--enderman482026 02:53, 16 March 2013 (UTC)

That's so a bug. If any mob is attacked by a skeleton, with the exception of creepers, will target the skeleton. Zombies normally do, so that has a 99.95% chance of being a bug. --Noa-constrictor 02:37, 7 July 2013 (UTC)

Path finding of mobs does not work for gaps between glass planes and iron bars

Even though the distance between glass planes and iron bars is (almost) equal to one block, the path finding does not work. They will act like they are solid blocks, only coincidental they get across these gaps.

That's because there path-finding looks for air blocks to walk through. Since there is no air blocks, even though there is space, the zombie wont try to walk through it. Same thing with a half slab on the floor and an upside down slab on the roof. the gap is big enough to walk through but is technically not an "air block". ZeCraftyMiner 20:55, 3 June 2012 (UTC)

Wow, thanks CraftyMiner, that explains why We can do what they cannot.. that and our own different "size" characteristics, probably. So how about: "the ability to 'see' through windows" yes, can they officially see through doors? I thought I said (how about a link to this?) in "(Zombie?) Siege(s? #'s uncertain, there, too)," they can see through wooden doors. Onto the Iron doors, below.. . June 6, 2012 Yilante.

Zombie are actually dropping Cookies for real!

Smwforever45 rollbacked my edit where i stated that zombies would drop cookies as rare drop on death. i wrote that about 3 hours ago; in the meantime, i managed to collect other 6 cookies without crafting them (because i have NEVER got cocoa beans in that part of the server i am playing), and this must mean that i have collected them from the ground; since i fought mostly against zombies, i assume that they dropped cookies; also, i must say that i found the first "couple" of cookies in a village i am expanding, where there are player-crafted iron golems; they roam around the town killing hostiles, expecially zombies, because they siege villages.

i think i have stated a lot of motivations to assume that zombies actually drop cookies; who else could explain why i have now an amount of 8 cookies on me, without crafting them and without having anybody else do it? i also want to say that i are in kind of "isolated" part of the server, and i don't think i could have been joked by somebody else (and i am playing with quite serious people).

if cookies are not dropped from zombies, then they must have been dropped by spiders, but i find it hard since the first pair of cookies i found was very next to a pair of rotten flesh and a walking iron golem... don't you think so?

in the end, it could be a sort of Bukkit error, but i find this chance VERY hard, don't you?--82.88.58.26 18:01, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

What the **** did I just read? No, Zombies do not drop cookies. It's either your server or you're making an error. --Moxxy 18:04, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

Zombies don't drop cookies. It's a modified server. Calinou - talk × contribs » 19:01, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

I don't rollback edits for no reason. I've tried and spawned 256 zombies in Creative Mode, and then killed them all. I got two iron swords, one iron shovel and tons of rotten flesh and experience points, but no cookie. Together with the hundreds of zombies I killed during normal gameplay, where I also got no cookie, I think that's a clear result. If zombies drop cookies on your server, then it's because of a plugin you're using. Zombies definitely don't drop cookies in Vanilla Minecraft. smwforever45 19:20, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
It also doesn't happen in vanilla Bukkit; you can check the source here. The Mo' Zombies mod does include a zombie that drops cookies, so I suspect that (or a similar mod) is installed. -- Orthotope 02:19, 3 April 2012 (UTC)

I have an update: i ate those cookies and... They did not reacharge food bar!! amazing. i think this could be a sort of error, something like the server dropped for an error cookies, and when i ate them it brought them back to where they came from. to Make an example, it's a sort of error very similar to the one that happens with a laggy server and tools, that break and reappear in your inventory later; this is only a "reverse" case. this is oblivious, if you think of it! In the following days i'll be looking for more of these odd things, it might be a bukkit error, now that things are how they seem.

As for answering else: I DO NOT PLAY ON A MODIFIED SERVER!!! i should know it, since it MY server. Up to now, for how things are, it can only be a random error occasion or a bukkit error (bukkit has gone in reccomended release only recently). We currently use no mods, EXCEPT Multiworld. I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Wonder if i should report this possible bug to them... don't know how, though.--82.88.58.26 19:05, 3 April 2012 (UTC)

If you use a bukkit server, then you use a modified server. –ultradude25 (T|C) at 19:11, 3 April 2012 (UTC)

Of the six months I've been playing Minecraft, I've encountered Millions of Zombies. No cookie. It's either a bug or a mod. Ultradude25 also spelled "bucket" wrong. --Noa-constrictor 02:47, 7 July 2013 (UTC)

Zombies and Iron doors

I know they can't brake them but It count in one contraption I maked. Firstly If you walk on top of a "doors bridge", (whatever the situation, the doors looking like one line or parallel lines) you don't fall ( In the case of doors looking like parallel line if you stop, you fall ... ).

Zombies know about they could walk on top of doors, but try only if the doors are not redstone powered.

Additionnaly, if you put your doors parallel, they simply fall when passing the first door.

Finnaly, if you make one line, if they came from the same direction the door facing, they could walk on top of them for 3 doors ( they try to be more centered relative to the block center ), if they came from the oposite direction, they try but fall because are on the top block of the door, but not not the door itself.

For making a good door bridge, simply make 2 lines (4 lenght) of parallel iron doors that when powered they make only one line. Then put redstone for powering them. so the two part are mob protected.

Chance of drops

Does anyone know what the chance of the various rare drops are? The wiki doesn't seem to say anywhere. I think it's fairly clear they only drop when hand killed by the player, though. Pi4t 18:42, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

Rare drops is iron armor parts and tools.

Why cant I do harm to zombies?

I just finished building a zombie xp grinder. If I co in to the spawner room, the zombies will attack me and I will be able to kill it. But when they flow down through my trap and hit the end of the drop, they glitch out or something. The stand there and just look around, and my fist/sword/whole body goes through right through them with out damage to either of us. After a bit, they just disappear. Is there anything I can do to fix this? --Maripi 3:29, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

Must be some world corruption or a bug. Anoymonous august 2012

There are outstanding bugs in 1.3.2 (see what's now the Issues page) where monsters glitch in various ways -- walking through walls and wading though floors, and "astral projecting" to different locations. Mob spawners do seem particularly affected. --Mental Mouse 11:36, 26 August 2012 (UTC)

Well, there is already a pretty cheap Zombie Villager Page. Somebody should remove it. And can somebody work on the new section soon?

I don't think so, the two mobs are identical in all aspects except appearance, and the fact one can be cured. But then again, cave spiders get there own page. Fummy 21:04, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

They also have an increased chance to have armor and weapons, I believe, and there are baby ones. I think they're different enough to have their own page. Why do different dyes have their own page, despite being the same item, yet two different mobs shouldn't? Sedrick Stevenson 03:52, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

Cave spiders are a different monster with different capabilities (1×1×1 size, poison), and the dyes have different origins. Zombie Ideas + Question of Zombies

I was wondering, can you edit a mob spawner for, say, an adventure map? I was looking forward to making a zombie map with zombies, but when i heard about this, I HAD to know. So, can you? Here are my ideas for zombies.

Marazomb - Swiftness Potion Effect, Weakness Potion Effect Fighter Zombie - Strength Effect, Iron Helmet Soldier Zombie - Strength Effect, Bow Soldier Zombie 2 - Strength Effect, Iron Sword Merchant Zombie - Stone Sword Merchant Zombie 2 - Golden Helmet, Golden Sword Mutant Zombie - Strength Effect, Slowness Potion Effect, Diamond Armor, Diamond Sword Civi Zombie - Leather Chestplate Civi Zombie 2 - Wooden Sword Jumper Zombie - Jumping II Effect Superzomb - Full Diamond Armor Protection IV

With mods like MCEdit, but not in vanilla. HotdogPi 20:11, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

curing villager zombies?

according to the wiki it takes a potion of weakness and a golden apple to cure them, but whenever I try this the red swirls happen but all they do is start jittering, still zombified. I was wondering if anyone else has found a third step? I've tried with both types of apples and potions, both of the potions seem to work but only the golden nugget apple creates red swirls, and eventually the red swirls turn grey again. Can anyone help me? 71.168.88.147 00:49, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

It takes a while, eventually they will become villagers again. Just wait A long time.

I waited all night, and it didn't happen. The potions didn't affect them properly, either. I had to quit and reload the world to be able to see them as being under the weakness effect. And then they never changed when I used the apple on them. I tried it with four different zombies, and the results (or lack thereof) were the same every time.

Wiki needs to say that you only have to click with a golden apple equipped on a zombie villager, they dont need to eat it! but will if you keep clicking. The spirals change colour and there is a sound effect to show that the apple has worked. 19:13, 23 November 2012 (UTC)~~cannajan19:13, 23 November 2012 (UTC)

Zombie rare item dropping in 12w23a

It says on the wiki page in the 12w23a section that zombies carrying weapons and armour have a chance to drop them if they have them. But I have tested many zombies to find ones with items, and none of them have dropped their weapons/armour on death. Has anyone ever actually seen them drop the items? Fummy:Fummy 21:09, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

I assume you mean 12w32a, not 12w23a. I have been testing with batches of ~300 zombies, and I usually only get two or three weapon/armor drops. Also, you have to kill them yourself, you cant let a golem or mob grinder do it. I used Splash Potions of Healing to kill them en masse. It seems like (on hard) ~5% of zombies are wearing or holding some item, and they only drop said item ~10% of the time. Also, I find occasional dropped Iron Bars fron killing Zombies, so the Rare Drop system may still be (partially) in effect. - Michael, 15 August 2012

Iron ingots can drop even if they're not wearing/holding anything. And they're different from Iron Bars.

Are the iron ingots included in things that can't be mob grinder'd, or is it just the tools/weapons? My main motivation for making a grinder is the iron. 96.48.205.11 02:29, 3 April 2013 (UTC)

Addition to Bugs About Damage Enhancement

The last addition to bugs by Orreven looks to me to be intended rather than a bug, but I haven't heard of that at all. In fact, it sounds pretty awesome as an added challenge to weapon-holding zombies, ignoring the fact that the zombie pigmen didn't get a damage boost from their gold swords. If other people can actually confirm this and get a word from Mojang, we may have a new change here, if it isn't a bug. --Kanegasi C 22:46, 12 September 2012 (UTC)

While I was looking through the sound files, I found 3 new ogg files, entitled metal1.ogg, metal2.ogg, and metal3.ogg. Zombie Armor dependant of Difficulty?

I have been playing Minecraft on Normal for some time and have noticed that the undead (including Zombies) never wear any armour tier higher than gold. Is this a true phenomenon or is this just because I haven't seen any other armour yet.

Also, I think that the undead should wear armour more often than they do now, or that the drop rate of armour when Zombies are wearing it is increased. 71.7.254.245 11:43, 2 October 2012 (UTC)

Plus, you are on normal difficulty, you will not find any diamond armor zombies on normal. Trigger hurt 20:44, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
  • I don't play SMP. However, can zombies wear iron armour in normal? I myself always use iron armour because it's tough and easy to get. 71.7.254.245 21:07, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
  • You obviously did not see my point. The idea of zombies not having very good armor on normal is because better armor is harder to find. A zombie's armor depends on difficulty. On easy, they will not have armor. On normal, the will not use diamond tools or armor, I believe. But on hard, they have access to all armor and weapons. However they will still be able to collect items on the ground. Trigger hurt 13:59, 4 October 2012 (UTC)
  • Ahh, now I understand. The commonness of Zombie armor goes in this order: Leather -- Gold -- Iron -- Diamond -- Chainmail(?). I myself have seen many Zombies with Leather and Gold armour, but only a few with iron and none with diamond in normal. Note that the ? in the chainmail armour means that I don't know if chainmail is the rarest Zombie armour. Also I don't know if you see chain armour on Zombies and Skeletons in normal. 71.7.254.245 14:20, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
  • It is a basic system: Take a look at the Armor page, chainmail is only stronger than gold armor by a single point of armor (🛡) on the leggings, therefor i believe the rarity order would go like this: Leather - Gold - Chain - Iron - Diamond. However mob armor on zombies is dependant on difficulty, since on easy they have no armor, normal they should not have Diamond armor and probably not iron armor, but on hard they can spawn with all tools. Trigger hurt 14:58, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
  • They can spawn with any armor on normal or hard, but iron is about 1 in 60 and diamond is about 1 in 1000, if it's wearing armor. HotdogPi 20:11, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

I see lots of Zombies with armor, even on easy difficulty. --Noa-constrictor 04:19, 7 July 2013 (UTC)

Zombies holding items incorrectly

I noticed that, because of their arms being raised and with the new addition of zombies holding items, that they seem to hold them wrong. See the recently added images in the gallery, such as the last two. They appear holding items sideways, however it is correct to players. I believe that this should be changed, so that zombies and other mobs hold them more like they should, item specifically, because weapons and tools that they hold look fine. Also since i cannot get access to a pc: If anyone could, show me that zombies can hold and use bows. I know they can use everything else (well besides fishing rods, i'd like to see how they used those), but i have not seen one use a bow. Trigger hurt 18:36, 4 October 2012 (UTC)

I dont think they use bows :/

Maybe because you aren't using a PC, since you don't have access to one, there will be more bugs. I've never experienced this happening to my Minecraft game. --Noa-constrictor 04:26, 7 July 2013 (UTC)

12w40a Texture Pack Broken Texture Pictures

I am aware that the trivia says that zombie textures are broken in texture packs, but can we get some pictures? I took a couple, but it's from far away and I have no idea how to post them. So far, I've seen two different glitches, one of which where the head is at the bottom. There might be more than two, but not of what I've seen. --Superfloxes 03:19, 7 October 2012 (UTC)

  • I only have seen broken textures with Zombie Pigmen, but not with ordinary zombies, example: I use a texture pack that i have been developing for a month or so, it is 16 bit, and i am terrible at drawing. It is supposed to be a HL2 style, so far: Golden swords are stunsticks, to go along with zombie pigmen being Metropolice, so they by default wield one. Bows are (obviously) crossbows, and skeletons Combine because they hold crossbows. Zombies are the HL2 style zombies instead of regular, and a few more items were changed. I would show this normally, but i can't get on my PC right now. The only glitched texture i saw was for zombie pigmen, I am unsure why. I have posted the texture glitch on the Zombie Pigman page. Trigger hurt 15:02, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
    • Use MCPatcher (HD Texture Fix), that mod fixes all zombie texture problems automatically depending on the minecraft version / snapshot, regardless if the texture pack has 64x64 or 64x128 zombie textures. --80.134.4.219 15:06, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
  • Thanks! I use MCpatcher alot, but i have not been installing mods recently because the PC's at school suck balls. Trigger hurt 17:22, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
    • Okay, turns out that the two versions of glitches are the same. --Superfloxes 07:52, 21 October 2012 (UTC)
  • I have discovered WHY textures are messed up. For Zombies and Zombie Pigmen the scale of their texture file was changed from 32x64 pixels to 64x64 pixels, the textures themselves remain at the top. I can see why this was changed, as in the zombie villager file, it looks the same with the zombie villager head just below the regular zombie's textures. Unlike on the top part, the surrounding areas for the zombie villager head do not add hats. I am unsure why this was changed for zombie pigmen, unless they plan to add another type of mob that shares textures with the original. Trigger hurt 18:25, 22 October 2012 (UTC)

Zombie Trivia edits

Folks, before you add something to the trivia, double check and make sure no one has already added it. This may sound stupid but I just found three repeated tidbits of trivia on this page. I took the liberty of removing said repeats. Draexzhan 23:40, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

Example== About Zombie Villagers ==

I have 2 things to share. First, I heard a rumor that if a zombie villager is near a bed and iron bars when you heal him, it will be faster. Is this true? Second, do zombie spawning from spawners still have that 10% chance? It said all, but I wasn't sure.
Thanks!
74.38.32.117 22:54, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

Yes, a zombie villager near (+/- 4 blocks in any direction) bed blocks and iron bars blocks will heal faster. Not a lot, but a bit faster.
Zombies have 5% chance to be a zombie villager. --mgr 02:25, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

I always thought zombies would be villager zombies 10% of the time. 24.30.16.3 05:45, 29 June 2013 (UTC)

Idea: Zombies that act as players

Hi and I got an idea to make zombies a lot more fun. I was thinking, if you give a zombie any tool, It would become neutral and it use that tool. Pickaxe: Find nearest stone and mine. Axe: Find nearest tree and chop wood. Shovel: Find nearest dirt and dig. Sword: Attack Passive mobs except villagers.

after it collects 20 blocks it will attempt to build a house. Any other zombies or skeletons nearby given tools will help that zombie and will protect it if short on helpers.

Skeleton: Attacks any hostile mobs coming it's way. Zombie: Finds materials to build weapons for skeletons.

Teaming up with them will make them respect you as long as you don't hurt them or their house.

Respond if you like my idea! SuperNaw ~ the creator of the city dimension. 20:52, 21 November 2012 (UTC)

76.21.235.114I love this idea, however if Notch decides to add it, he will probably make a new mob.(note i had an idea of a mob that would behave like this, except spawn with house pre-built like witches, and have goodies inside, but i kinda like this idea better, except maybe with a new mob instead of zombies) 04:06, 24 November 2012 (UTC)tompettyfan

Also, talk pages aren't the place to post ideas. That is only allowed on the forums. Cobalt32 04:41, 24 November 2012 (UTC)

Zombie Children

I was playing around in creative and a zombie infected a child villager, the child zombie moved faster than the other zombies just like non-zombie children move faster than non-zombie villagers. More interestingly though, the zombie child appeared to be immune to sunlight. Multiple times it would remain outside, and while other zombies caught on fire, the child zombie remained unharmed. I even spawned a zombie next to it and that zombie caught on fire and died while the child stood their unharmed.

Yes, child zombies are immune against sunlight.

I've seen a ton of those! --Noa-constrictor 04:29, 7 July 2013 (UTC)

Have enough of these disguised mobs pictures

Seriously ! Pictures showing how Zombies, Skeletons and Zombie Pigmen can wear a Mob Head, (tainted) Armors, and yield Tools and Swords are getting out of control ! It's like there is a picture for every single combinaison of equipment. This is useless. I suggest a drastic clean-up ! Missingno 26 15:48, 20 January 2013 (UTC)

Zombies spawning in floating houses?

Can zombies spawn in floating houses? I usually create floating houses to avoid mobs during the night but I managed to find a way up after a long time mining. I also read about zombies spawning inside villager houses. Is there any chance that they can do that? 203.177.74.138 06:11, 30 March 2013 (UTC)

If it's dark enough somewhere inside, yes. -- Orthotope 07:13, 30 March 2013 (UTC)

Damage in 1.5

Here's the damage dealt by unarmed zombies in 1.5:

Damage
Current HP Easy Normal Hard
16-20 2 3 4
11-15 3 4 6
6-10 3 5 7
1-5 4 6 9

I'm not sure what the best way to add this to the page is. Of course, armed zombies will do more damage; their weapon's damage is added to their 'normal' base damage, before the easy/hard modifier is applied. -- Orthotope 03:47, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

Messing with the code, I decided to just throw that right into the infobox. For some reason, it won't go smaller than 50% in size, so it still breaks the infobox a little bit on the right, so not sure if this is neat enough. Kanegasi C 04:51, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

Yep. It's a new feature in 1.5, not sure which snapshot added it though. -- Orthotope 02:24, 12 April 2013 (UTC)

Snapshot 13w17a Zombie spawning more zombies

I read that Zombies can spawn more zombies when it takes damage but it said it was rare but when I started a new world I was getting wood and then poof!! Zombies where falling from the sky! Chain Armor Says Uncraftable

It says that the chain armor that zombies can drop are uncraftable. This is not entirely true, as you can craft it with fire. This should be edited. 198.72.195.167 02:27, 30 May 2013 (UTC)Bob

Done. Equazcion h(talk) 04:01, 30 May 2013 (UTC)

Yes, you can craft chain armor with fire, although that can only be done with the "/give (playername) 51 (number 1-64)" command.z

Unusual Question

Can Zombies that pick up eggs or snowballs throw them? Or do they just punch you with them? EmoTank 01:25, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
