An unusual slang term[]
There is a new slang term for unenchanted golden apples, however the child-friendliness of it can be contested and I don't know if it's against the rules. The term is "c***ple" where c*** is the synonym of poop(I hope you get the word). Can someone tell me if I can add it or not? --LightningSh0ck (talk) 17:33, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
Shall we expand to body language?[]
I think we should add a body language section as well. Like, for example, the teaming gesture, threatening gesture, etc. Shall I do it? Shall I call it "gestures" instead? --LightningSh0ck (talk) 20:53, 9 September 2017 (UTC)
- That sounds like a good idea! We could add in in a separate section as the rest of the article (maybe divide the article into "Verbal terms"" and "Body language") --Madminecrafter12 (talk) 14:33, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
Remove butter?[]
I know it was a big thing in the past, but literally nobody calls gold butter anymore... I don't consider it notable anymore. Dhranios (talk) (Join the wiki videos project!) 17:03, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
- Comment If we do, we can get the Butter redirect deleted again. Blockofnetherite Talk Contributions 17:09, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
Redstone jargon[]
Should redstone terms be referenced here, or are they already listed in a seperate page? The list seems rather long, and I don't think it'd be a good idea flooding this list with just redstone names Tkasriel (talk) 04:22, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
- It seems fine if we can create a subpage "Tutorials/Game terms/Redstone". Go ahead and create it as long as it follows the wiki rules and style guide. Blockofnetherite Talk Contributions 07:15, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
- Upon a bit more research, it looks like Mechanics/Redstone/Circuit already has quite a list, and I don't think the content I would be contributing would be enough to warrant an entire seperate page (mostly worried that it would just repeat what that article already says). - How about remove the entries that apply to video games in general (e.g. AFK) and link to wikipedia:Glossary of video game terms? Fadyblok240 (talk) 22:52, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- I'd say YES. My original idea of this page was to contain terms that pertain only to Minecraft and are not explained in other pages of this wiki, with the exception being words that could have at least a slightly different meaning in Minecraft's context(like OP), but people started to add terms that apply to gaming in general, and I think that fills the page with unnecessary info.--LightningSh0ck (talk) 14:40, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
Outdated Info?[]
Does anyone actually call bedrock adminium anymore? Seems like that and a few others could be dropped from this list. BloonsDooms (talk) 14:04, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
My idea for obsolete terms:[]
In response to people who want old terms removed, I think they should be kept for historical purposes and not deleted while at the same time they should be marked somehow. I would call them archaisms, and perhaps marking them with something like arch or having them in a separate list would be a good compromise. --LightningSh0ck (talk) 14:23, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
