Pointless

This farm/trap is VERY expensive, and the only drop a Wither has is a Nether Star, for beacons. A much more efficiant way of making a beacon is making a tower of dirt up to layer 256. Meeples10 19:46, 21 April 2013 (UTC)

A tower of dirt is not a beacon, it's a tower of dirt. Kanegasi C 19:50, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
I know that. But, building a tower of dirt up to the height limit has the same purpose as a beacon. ×Meeples10× 21:27, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
A tower of dirt does not imbue the player with special effects, so no, not the same purpose. Kanegasi C 21:30, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

Doesn't work

1. Anvils are capped at 12 hearts of damage. 2. Blue wither skulls can break obsidian. hotdogPi-t--c--Try my quiz! Do not click! 21:55, 26 May 2013 (UTC)

Doesn't Work For Me

I can get the Wither stuck in the bedrock, but after hitting him once he flies above the bedrock where I cannot reach him. Luckily I tested it in creative before using up my Wither Skeleton Skulls. Mcpantsonfire 19:27, 18 July 2013 (UTC)

  • The video tutorial includes one key detail which is not mentioned in the article itself - the center bedrock block must have open space above it, and finding one can be rather tricky. -- Quietust, 21:25, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
