Village & Pillage update[]

From what I know, after the 1.14 update villages work differently and creating a village doesn't work like in the tutorial.

I am updated this tutorial a bit, not a complete tutorial but at least it still work after village and pillage. ImakerB (talk) 23:59, 25 April 2019 (UTC)

Creating a village that can be located[]

I can create something that acts like a village in Bedrock 1.11 in a flat world (building+beds+workstations+villagers), but it doesn't register as a village for the /locate command. Is there any way to create a structure that can be identified by /locate? ~ Amatulic (talk) 14:59, 2 May 2019 (UTC)

/Locate command only work to naturally generated structure, even when structure completely destroyed, /locate command still point to that location. ImakerB (talk) 20:43, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
OK. I was trying to isolate a bug I believe I found in /locate and I wanted to manufacture a test case. It seems I cannot do that. I reported the bug at https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-45526 but I wanted to try more cases with specific arrangements of structures. ~ Amatulic (talk) 05:17, 3 May 2019 (UTC)

Another way to create a village[]

In Java Edition, I found that it is not necessary to use a bed for a village. I tried with the old way (door and block that prevents light from falling in the same height as the door's block), but instead I used a villager's point of interest (e.g. Smithing Table) as the block that blocks light. I spawned a villager using a spawn egg. My village actually worked, I gave myself Bad Omen, and a bossbar for a raid actually appeared. So I recommend that you add this to the page.--87.202.191.120 12:28, 23 June 2019 (UTC)

The way to know for sure is to run Universal Minecraft Editor on a flat world you created that has only the village you created in it, and no other structure, and see if it registers as a village in the database. ~ Amatulic (talk) 21:12, 23 June 2019 (UTC)
