Is this page for the official texture packs or can we add our own? Jaeil 18:13, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
- it's for texture packs of all sorts, but I figure, using this system, we can sort out what is and isn't supporting the new texture pack support in Minecraft.--Kizzycocoa 18:31, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
- Is there a texture pack that doesn't support the texture pack support? As far as I tried, everything seemed to work. Are there some images that can't be replaced? Is this the hellstone/water thing? I'm a bit confused. Jaeil 20:22, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
- well, yes. but I mean those specially modified to use the texture mod thing. not like, the ones where you download the terrain.png etc.--Kizzycocoa 20:40, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
- Some certain things don't work with the texture pack support, as they are loaded in a different way. ConMan8 23:06, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Do we need this page?
This page hasn't really taken off, I don't think there's much of a need for it on the wiki. Should we just make a link to something like http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=81195 instead? --DannyF1966 09:54, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
- It's four days old mate. Give it some time. Aclectasis 04:25, 18 November 2010 (CST)
- Is that all? Wow, time flies! --DannyF1966 10:36, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
- The problem is no one is finding it. I've added some links around, hopefully things will start to pick up now. -F1racer101 05:01, 21 November 2010 (CST)
- This page has became a necessity since Notch included a way to change texture packs from in-game. Most newbies will wonder what that is and will search for it. --Scykei 05:20, 21 November 2010 (CST)
- Ditto, it may not be so pretty now but it is going to be very important in the future. ANNOYING 11:39, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Major Packs and Edits of Them
Perhaps we could add a section here archiving major packs (under the criteria that 1) They provide an alternate texture for at least 95% of the blocks (in terrain.png) prior to the October 31, 2010 update 2) that all of the alternate textures are of original design) as well as edits of those packs (meaning that the author of that pack has determined that their edit is derived (meaning not of entirely of their design) from another pack, but has at least some of their own work in it.) - DuoNoxSol
