The name

I think the term "Render Dragon" is still the official name since it is the only name used in Minecraft.net and other official sources. The term "RenderDragon" is only used in the code of the game. As seen in the latest post about Render Dragon in PS4. skylord_wars (talk) 04:47, 13 December 2019 (UTC)

Hi, I'm one of the graphics engine devs who works on RenderDragon and helped coin the name RenderDragon. On the graphics team, we prefer to spell it "RenderDragon" as a single word; the name originally started with a pun on "Enderman" that evolved into RenderDragon. The main reason we prefer it as a single word is to keep with the pattern that most game/graphics engines or renderers available have a single word name (e.x.: RenderMan, Frostbite, CryEngine, Unreal, LuxCoreRender, YafaRay, etc.). @Jocopa3 are there any visual enhancements at the moment of PS4/Xbox One? I've seen some video gameplay and it looks the same as mobile/Windows 10 Bedrock.185.138.218.174 23:48, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

Education Edition

Is RenderDragon also used in Education Edition, since it's similar to Bedrock Edition? If so, why isn't it mentioned on the page? Thomanski (talk) 21:29, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

No, it is not currently used in Education Edition. At the time of writing, RenderDragon is currently only available on Xbox & PS4 for Minecraft Bedrock, and iOS & Android for Minecraft Earth. No version of RenderDragon is publicly available on PC platforms at this time. Jocopa3 (talk) 23:16, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

Introduced to Windows 10

The history states that RenderDragon was introduced to Windows 10 in beta 1.15.0.8, but that version seems to be now disassociated with 1.16.0. I believe RenderDragon was implemented to Windows 10 first in beta 1.16.0.57 because of the RENDERDRAGON text shown in the debug text, as stated here. I propose editing the history section to separate beta 1.15.0.8 and beta 1.15.0.9 from 1.16.0 and including beta 1.16.0.57, if that is the confirmed beta version where it was introduced to 1.16.0. --Minerpix17 (talk) 09:17, 31 May 2020 (UTC)

Before RenderDragon

What rendering engine was used before RenderDragon in Minecraft Bedrock? Do all versions of Bedrock Edition that don't have RenderDragon just yet use the same rendering engine?
