Wait, what?
Um... Where exactly are we seeing "Netherrack Bricks" in this image? Can someone post a pic?
- I've asked myself same question, thought i was blind and others can see there that block.
- Its right in the middle, to the right of the lava flow and above the swatch of fire.Eligitine 21:13, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
- I don't see it... Perhaps post a zoomed-in picture? ~~prisma90
- The picture is centered on it. Click the full-sized image. There's a tower-like object made out of bricks.

There is only one new block in this image
Then differences in color between the brick blocks are caused by Minecraft's new colored lighting, which can look strange when an image is brightened. They are not separate blocks. Verhalthur (talk)(contribs) 15:28, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
- Are you blind? Look at the textures on the tower! That is NOT normal Netherrack. --Technoman7 16:23, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
- Not Netherrack, but the change between Netherrack Bricks and the so called Soulsand Bricks. --31.151.146.87 16:28, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
- Note the section title: "There is only one new block in the image. There is no Soul Sand brick. The differences in color on the tower stem from the colored lighting, not variation in block type. Verhalthur (talk)(contribs) 19:58, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
- Oh. I see what you mean now. Sorry about that. --Technoman7 17:27, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
New netherrack textures?
Doesn't it look like, if you look closely on the picture, that the (original) netherrack changes colour throughout the picture (like that grass changes according to biome)? FracqGrenade 23:13, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
- That's the lighting from the lava hitting the Netherrack, not a biome change.--CDi-Fails 02:30, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
Aquaducks?
The "tower" looks more like a Roman style aquaduck. user:tygor97
What exactly is an "Aquaduck"? I think you made a typo. SpaghettiGuy3 22:02, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
- I believe the structure is a ruined bridge, not an aqueduct. Or an underwater pond bird... Verhalthur (talk)(contribs) 22:07, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
Citation May Be Needed
I don't think it's a known fact yet that the Netherrack Brick is set to be in 1.9. I certainly believe it, but sadly, I fear it is speculation. I think a citation is needed. SpaghettiGuy3 22:27, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
- You are quite right. Also, the fact that the nether wasn't mentioned at all was criminal! Anyway, fixed both of those problems. Verhalthur (talk)(contribs) 22:29, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
- Much better. SpaghettiGuy3 23:24, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
- If 1.9 is in development now, then why wouldn't the Nether Update be included in it? If I like mustard on hot dogs, and I'm making a hot dog, you bet your ass I'll put mustard on it.--CDi-Fails 11:45, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
- It may seem like a connection that pretty much everyone can easily make but if there is any chance that Jeb is making the features for another update, we can't officially say it will be included in 1.9 until he says it will. Verhalthur (talk)(contribs) 13:57, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
Name Change needed
The 1.9 prerelease confirms that this block is "Nether Brick" not "Netherrack Brick". Can someone make the appropriate change? I'm unsure how to. Jivjov 15:13, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
The move page option is buried in the dropdown to the left of the search box. —KPReid 11:36, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
