Could somebody who knows please add the info whether dungeons are present in any mode, or if not in which modes (peaceful/easy/normal/hard)? 88.217.115.213 08:15, 31 July 2010 (UTC) tia
- Fairly sure that they exist in all the modes. If you are on peacefull, the mob will be killed immediately as it spawns though.--Genemos 10:25, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- found one on peaceful, but the mob spawner just made the smoke from death animations ;) and no items :(. --Nahere 23:51, 19 August 2010 (PDT)

ocean dungeon
I have an jpg of a dungeon I excavated in the ocean (along with cartography images showing before VS after excavation), but I'm not sure how to upload them into the gallery. I'd be happy to coordinate with whoever knows how to do that. -Cal
- If you upload the picture, Ill put it in the gallery for you.Toadbert
Minepedia is having issues letting me upload any images in any fashion. I've tried multiple times on multiple days, and I even tried hosting the image and posting a link here (which the wiki won't let me do). No success, and I'm DYING to get that image up... so I will resort to email. If anyone else has success uploading, and you'd like me to email you the image so you can put it up, contact cal2mailinator@gmail.com with some sort of "minecraft" title. (It's my spam account, so I won't read the email otherwise). Cal
How to find a Dungeon?
I'm looking to know if there are any clues in which anyone know about legitimately finding a dungeon. I do not want to use a map viewer or anything like that to find one. I have only found one right now and it left no clue that it was even there. I simply heard a spider in the distance and that was it. Maybe when the dramatic music plays or something of that nature that there is one close by either within a certain block radius or simply a certain amount of blocks away via X axis. Again, I'm simply wondering if there are any helpful hints on finding some of these without having look them up so to say. Joshgt2 16:56, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
- Im fairly certain it is completely random where dungeons turn up, just like clay.Toadbert
- Listen for mob sounds in caves. Dig towards mob sounds until you find where it's coming from. Remember to dig upward and downward too. Also, if you toggle the fog over and over, you can see fires through walls. If you see a bunch of moving fires, that's a mob spawn.PurpleKiwi 15:25, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
- I get this ringing noise a lot of the time when I walk into my base. It is almost like one of those Zelda noises that sounds off when your close to that secret objective. Should I start clearing out whatever is below my main base? Roughly how far away would I expect to look to maybe find it? Joshgt2 09:05, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
- You might be hearing cave sounds. That means there might be a cave nearby. It probably won't be a dungeon since you did't hear mob sounds by it.
Booby Trap?
Has anyone had a Mob appear when they destroy a chest? I did but the room was very well lit, and I'm wondering in this is a booby trap or just a mob spawning somehow.
- Probably the latter Toadbert
