If anyone knows in what ways Industrial Diamond is inferior to Diamond, please feel free to add the information. We also need to verify which recipes that require Diamond still work with the substitute.

Someone's going to have to test its durability. And my guess is that it can be used exactly like diamond, but with less durability. And the creator may have been joking. JesusChrist666 01:36, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
Do industrial diamonds use the same sprite as regular diamonds? Can charcoal be used to make industrial diamonds? Do industrial diamonds use a custom ID? If they use the same ID as regular diamonds, then they would have the same exact properties. Charcoal has the same ID as coal (if I am not mistaken) and has the same properties and sprite as regular coal. If charcoal cannot be used to make coal based recipes in IndustrialCraft then Industrial Diamonds would not be recognized as diamonds for other mods (that have recipes that need diamond), in which case diamond jewellery (which does not exist yet) could not be made with Industrial Diamonds. Industrial Diamonds probably have the same properties and will not diminish durability or strength. What I would recommend is testing whether these Industrial Diamonds can be crafted into a Diamond Block (and thus return regular diamonds when mined). Testing the code would be easiest for those who know what to look for but just crafting Diamond Blocks from Industrial Diamonds and using charcoal instead of regular coal would prove that MineCraft with IndustrialCraft treats them as the exact same without having to mine through obsidian with pickaxes using Industrial Diamonds. -- AzemOcram 04:43, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
