Unnecessary margin before right parenthesis/bracket
There is an unnecessary left margin before the right parenthesis/bracket in the class "hlist". It can be seen in the purchase links under the "Play it!" section. It can also be seen in {{Minecraft}}. Tested in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and IE (desktop and mobile); it appears.
It is due to the margin-left: 0.313em style in MediaWiki:Gadget-site-styles.css, under #bodyContent .hlist li > ul li:last-child::after. – ITechieGamertce 02:37, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
Bedrock Edition Versions
(from Talk:Bedrock Edition#Main Page Version Box)
Could I suggest this again? I know Auldrick said no, but I have an alternative to a GIF: the way the image cycling works on entity pages and such (like Villager). Could something be rigged up where (for Auldrick's case) there's one cycling icon for the seven besides Android, iOS, and Apple TV; another icon for the first two of those; and a final icon for Apple TV? Then, once all versions are equal, there's one icon for everything except Apple TV? I can experiment if my help's needed. Scientific Guy (talk) 18:31, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
Inventory size sprite images look bad
Someone went too far with the compression, they look awful and dithered now. See Food. Is pngoutwin extreme still too large for those sprites?--PlNG CF (talk) 00:34, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
- @PlNG CF: Problem's on your end (mobile optimiser?). There is no compression applied to sprites (they're edited via a script which doesn't support compression). –Majr ᐸ Talk

- Nope, not on mobile. Also I'm back because images are now straight up failing to load for "visitors", the site works fine until until whatever ad script kicks with its sleight of hand (redirect to a page and back) to circumvent adblocking (and no, after 4 infections including 1 ransomware attack that destroyed all my files, adblocking is never coming off for me, it is as essential as antivirus these days). As soon as I'm logged in, the site works and looks as it should, possibly because of my free "pro" account. I dislike what this place has become.--PlNG CF (talk) 23:10, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
- Maybe your ad blocking software is the culprit? Have you tried different ad blocking extensions, or maybe a reset to a default configuration? This issue cannot really be reported to staff if they can plausibly say "it's broken because your ad blocker is faulty". --AttemptToCallNil (report bug, view backtrace) 23:33, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
New trial for Android app
The Android version of Bedrock Edition has a new, region-restricted trial version, located here. I think it should be noted in the sidebar too.

At did you know ender man section after word 'English' , please write the word 'words'. Because there are English words, not all of the English sounds. I mean, sounds can be NOT words. Lanxtot (talk) 07:40, 8 May 2019 (UTC)

Can we add wool farming?
Can we add a wool farming section? Sheep farming is more dedicated to farming sheep, not farming wool, so I tried to add a page called https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Wool_farming, but it said that I was a new user and couldn't add anything. --E12345ee12345e (talk) 04:27, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- If you got that error for creating a page, then remember that next time, the best place to ask for help with this would be on the mcw:Admin noticeboard. This talk page is for the main page specifically. – Jack McKalling [

Bedrock Edition Trial for Windows 10
There is a bedrock trial version for Windows 10 in Microsoft Store. Upcoming Java Edition 1.15
I have seen lots and lots of pages that contain Java Edition 1.15 in their History section, but it is under "Java Edition" instead of "Upcoming Java Edition". I have already corrected many pages that had this mistake. Can everyone please stop putting 1.15 snapshots under the "Java Edition" subtitle? ManosSef (talk) 14:20, 20 September 2019 (UTC)
responsive main page
I created a responsive version of the main page to prevent it from running off the page on smaller screens. Instead the boxes just stack below each other. You can see my version here: User:MarkusRost/responsive main page

- I don't see any obvious issues with this, perhaps we should merge it in soon. –Sonicwave talk 18:22, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
- I updated the editcopy to the responsive design and added the css. The next main page sync just needs to make sure to sync the /style page as well.

"All console editions have been discontinued..."
It sounds like your saying Minecraft is no longer available on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. You should mention those versions were replaced by Bedrock (unlike mobile, Windows 10 and others which were merged).Travelbytrain (talk) 15:49, 29 July 2019 (UTC)

Update iOS version
It seems that a version for iOS called 1.13.3 was released, and this hasn't been updating under the "Play it!" section on the main page. If this is correct, could somebody go and update it please?-EatingSilencerforBreakfast (talk) 17:31, 27 November 2019 (UTC)
There's a new pre-release out.
Hey, I didn't want to say it right away, but it's been a few days and the version on the main page is still 1.15pre1, and 1.15pre2 is out (and has a wiki page.) Can we update that?

Minecraft Wiki Reform
I don't want to write a huge text because I don't speak english normally. What I'm trying to say is that if all features of all Minecraft games in a wiki wich was originally meant to be the wiki of the main Minecraft game, it will be "confusing" or "des-orientative" to see many articles saying "this is from that game, not from those others" and we also need more organization, because obiously all wiki contributors we want wikis to be intuitive... My proposal is that we have to create a "main" minecraft wiki about the Minecraft franchise, mojang, etc (something like https://www.minecraftwiki.net/), and other gamepedia wikis about Minecraft games (F.E. "Minecraft Earth (Game) Wiki" (https://minecraftearth.gamepedia.com/), "Minecraft Dungeons (Game) Wiki" (https://minecraftdungeons.gamepedia.com/) "Minecraft (Game) Wiki" (https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/, this wiki)). It would be huge project, but we still are on time to do this, because we only need to move all pages about Mojang, Mojang Employees, and the main articles of minecraft games to that "main" minecraft wiki, and move pages related to other minecraft games to their respective wiki. Thank you for reading, I know this would be a bit expensive, personally I think this wiki is a bit chaotic, but I'm only trying to help Minecraft and its community, really thank you.
PD: I really like the idea of bringing back https://www.minecraftwiki.net/
RosilloGames (talk) 15:44, 26 February 2020 (UTC)
- Making separate wikis for Earth and Dungeons has been proposed already, though the discussion didn't really reach a conclusion.
- As for a separate franchise wiki that doesn't even cover any single game, I don't think this is ever done. To my knowledge, separate wikis for titles in a franchise may be poor both for user experience and for search engine optimization (= letting people find useful information); this is going to be even worse for gameless wikis.
- I don't really think it will be possible to use minecraftwiki.net as the actual domain of a wiki instead of just a redirect. All Gamepedia wikis use the
wikiname.gamepedia.comformat. --AttemptToCallNil (report bug, view backtrace) 16:47, 26 February 2020 (UTC)

Official??
The wiki here claims to be the official Minecraft wiki. However, there is a button on minecraft.net that reads "explore the unofficial wiki", and leads here. Is this wiki official or not? --2057clones (talk) 00:15, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
- Unofficial to Mojang, official to Gamepedia. FVbico (talk) 00:18, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
- It's a very long story that's been discussed many times. tl;dr that page in particular seems to be using a different definition of "official", one that means "run by Mojang". Nixinova T C 00:42, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
New Beta for Bedrock Edition
Hello,
There was a new beta released for Bedrock Edition, but the information in the "Play It!" section in Bedrock Edition is irrelevant. The new beta is called 1.16.0.58, but the wiki still says the latest beta for Bedrock Edition is 1.16.0.57. If someone could please change this, thank you!

Outdated "Did you know..." fact
The "Did you know..." section of the main page states that "a compass and a clock can be viewed without being crafted by just placing the required items into the crafting table". However, to my knowledge, this bug has been fixed in the 20w19a snapshot. Sagessylu (talk) 12:48, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
