Bedrock Edition Trial for Windows 10

There is a bedrock trial version for Windows 10 in Microsoft Store. It is also in the Minecraft page in Microsoft Store. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/minecraft-for-windows-10/9nblggh2jhxj Can "Windows 10" be added in the "Trial Versions" column? –Preceding unsigned comment was added by BenjaminMak5487 (talkcontribs) at 12 August 2019 (UTC). Upcoming Java Edition 1.15

I have seen lots and lots of pages that contain Java Edition 1.15 in their History section, but it is under "Java Edition" instead of "Upcoming Java Edition". I have already corrected many pages that had this mistake. Can everyone please stop putting 1.15 snapshots under the "Java Edition" subtitle? ManosSef (talk) 14:20, 20 September 2019 (UTC)

responsive main page

I created a responsive version of the main page to prevent it from running off the page on smaller screens. Instead the boxes just stack below each other. You can see my version here: User:MarkusRost/responsive main page   HorseHead Gamepedia icon MarkusRost (talk) 20:15, 2 October 2019 (UTC)

I don't see any obvious issues with this, perhaps we should merge it in soon. –Sonicwave talk 18:22, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
I updated the editcopy to the responsive design and added the css. The next main page sync just needs to make sure to sync the /style page as well.   HorseHead Gamepedia icon MarkusRost (talk) 20:43, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
I've synced the main and /style editcopies to the main page. –Sonicwave talk 21:17, 6 November 2019 (UTC)

"All console editions have been discontinued..."

It sounds like your saying Minecraft is no longer available on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. You should mention those versions were replaced by Bedrock (unlike mobile, Windows 10 and others which were merged).Travelbytrain (talk) 15:49, 29 July 2019 (UTC)

The page doesn't contain that quote.  Nixinova  T  C  03:33, 3 August 2019 (UTC)

"Purchase the Bedrock Edition" doesn't show Ps4

The "Purchase the Bedrock Edition" shows Android, iOS, Amazon Fire OS, Windows 10, Windows 10 Mobile, Samsung Gear VR, Amazon Fire TV, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch but not Ps4 - Minecraft loot (talkcontribs) at 4:55, 16 December 2019 (UTC).

Done, but stuff like this is usually up to date within a day, so no need for the talk sections.  Nixinova T  C  07:35, 20 December 2019 (UTC)

Update iOS version

It seems that a version for iOS called 1.13.3 was released, and this hasn't been updating under the "Play it!" section on the main page. If this is correct, could somebody go and update it please?-EatingSilencerforBreakfast (talk) 17:31, 27 November 2019 (UTC)

There's a new pre-release out.

Hey, I didn't want to say it right away, but it's been a few days and the version on the main page is still 1.15pre1, and 1.15pre2 is out (and has a wiki page.) Can we update that?

Minecraft Wiki Reform

I don't want to write a huge text because I don't speak english normally. What I'm trying to say is that if all features of all Minecraft games in a wiki wich was originally meant to be the wiki of the main Minecraft game, it will be "confusing" or "des-orientative" to see many articles saying "this is from that game, not from those others" and we also need more organization, because obiously all wiki contributors we want wikis to be intuitive... My proposal is that we have to create a "main" minecraft wiki about the Minecraft franchise, mojang, etc (something like https://www.minecraftwiki.net/), and other gamepedia wikis about Minecraft games (F.E. "Minecraft Earth (Game) Wiki" (https://minecraftearth.gamepedia.com/), "Minecraft Dungeons (Game) Wiki" (https://minecraftdungeons.gamepedia.com/) "Minecraft (Game) Wiki" (https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/, this wiki)). It would be huge project, but we still are on time to do this, because we only need to move all pages about Mojang, Mojang Employees, and the main articles of minecraft games to that "main" minecraft wiki, and move pages related to other minecraft games to their respective wiki. Thank you for reading, I know this would be a bit expensive, personally I think this wiki is a bit chaotic, but I'm only trying to help Minecraft and its community, really thank you.

PD: I really like the idea of bringing back https://www.minecraftwiki.net/

RosilloGames (talk) 15:44, 26 February 2020 (UTC)

Making separate wikis for Earth and Dungeons has been proposed already, though the discussion didn't really reach a conclusion.
As for a separate franchise wiki that doesn't even cover any single game, I don't think this is ever done. To my knowledge, separate wikis for titles in a franchise may be poor both for user experience and for search engine optimization (= letting people find useful information); this is going to be even worse for gameless wikis.
I don't really think it will be possible to use minecraftwiki.net as the actual domain of a wiki instead of just a redirect. All Gamepedia wikis use the wikiname.gamepedia.com format. --AttemptToCallNil (report bug, view backtrace) 16:47, 26 February 2020 (UTC)

I don't see an issue in your example. What exactly is wrong? --AttemptToCallNil (report bug, view backtrace) 19:00, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
The template was changed three days ago, is there any way to see what it looked like before that? I don't remember the specifics but it showed the cells in the wrong order. Now it's even more of a mess, not showing the availability at all. Blue Banana whotookthisname (talk) 23:57, 11 March 2020 (UTC)
You can still find the Legacy Console Edition here. – ItsPlantseed|⟩ 00:40, 12 March 2020 (UTC)

Official??

The wiki here claims to be the official Minecraft wiki. However, there is a button on minecraft.net that reads "explore the unofficial wiki", and leads here. Is this wiki official or not? --2057clones (talk) 00:15, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

Unofficial to Mojang, official to Gamepedia. FVbico (talk) 00:18, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
It's a very long story that's been discussed many times. tl;dr that page in particular seems to be using a different definition of "official", one that means "run by Mojang".  Nixinova T  C  00:42, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

New Beta for Bedrock Edition

Hello,

There was a new beta released for Bedrock Edition, but the information in the "Play It!" section in Bedrock Edition is irrelevant. The new beta is called 1.16.0.58, but the wiki still says the latest beta for Bedrock Edition is 1.16.0.57. If someone could please change this, thank you!

Regards, Purpur4 (talk) 00:35, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

Done, updated. FYI the current versions listed that are stored on the main page are actually contained at Template:Version/FP; however, it's still only editable by admins so you will have to reach out to one of us, or on the talk page like you did here, if you want it changed.--Madminecrafter12 (Talk to me | View what I've done) 00:38, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

pre order minecraft dungeons removal.

why has "pre-order Minecraft Dungeons" been removed from the "play it" section? --Minecraft loot (talk) 02:20, 24 May 2020 (UTC)

when I wrote this it was not released and and Minecraft dungeons is still not on the play it section with earth and the editions.--Minecraft loot (talk) 01:45, 30 May 2020 (UTC)

Outdated "Did you know..." fact

The "Did you know..." section of the main page states that "a compass and a clock can be viewed without being crafted by just placing the required items into the crafting table". However, to my knowledge, this bug has been fixed in the 20w19a snapshot. Sagessylu (talk) 12:48, 18 May 2020 (UTC)

It's still in the latest full release, and probably also bedrock; so until it's fully gone, it will stay. FVbico (talk) 12:51, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
Oh yes, you're right, after doing a little bit of research, I found that if was MCPE-36354 on Bedrock Edition, and that it still wasn't fixed. Sorry! Sagessylu (talk) 13:16, 18 May 2020 (UTC)

Minecraft Earth purchase links should be download instead

Since the game is free to play, they should read "Download" instead of "Purchase". Dllis (talk) 20:27, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

I agree with this. --Michael18751 (talk) 20:48, 29 May 2020 (UTC)

Add some Minecraft Dungeons links

Somebody add Minecraft Dungeons links to the Play It tab and the About Minecraft section. AceAttorneyMaster111 (talk) 02:03, 28 May 2020 (UTC)

I agree with this because Minecraft Earth technically is a spin-off of Minecraft as well and that version is listed in the play tab. --Michael18751 (talk) 20:47, 29 May 2020 (UTC)
I agree, it could be placed right next to Minecraft Earth. Furthermore, Pi-Edition could be added to "Other editions" because, while officially discontinued, it is still available on minecraft.net so it should be consistend with 3DS- and Legacy Console-Editions. --Delycache (talk) 12:13, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
Strong support I actually have a section about this two sections above but since I didn't make it clear, people think I am talking about something else.

"Popular and useful pages" section – Achievements and Advancements

Hello,

In the "Popular and useful pages" section, achievements and advancements are included. However, the link is old, and links to the articles included with an "s." Can someone please fix it and make it like so:

[[Achievement]]s / [[Advancement]]s

If someone could fix it, that would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Purpur4 (talk) 23:47, 27 June 2020 (UTC)

put chromebook in education edition development versions

recently a development version released for education edition adding everything from bedrock 1.13 and 14 as well as Chromebook availability. currently, in education development versions in play it, it shows for windows and ios but not Chromebook. here is a link to the logo; https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/File:512px-Google_Chrome_icon_(September_2014).svg.png --Minecraft loot (talk) 08:48, 2 July 2020 (UTC)

By the way, you didn't have to upload a new file since there is already one: File:Gchrome.svg (also your file is not a proper svg). We can use the existing one, but I will try to recreate a new one with a chromebook text below it instead, as to prevent confusion with the Google Chrome browser. – ItsPlantseed|⟩ 10:32, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
Due to the length of the chromebook text, the logo would not visible very well with the ratio to the text. So maybe just by including the logo will do just fine. – ItsPlantseed|⟩ 11:19, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
I've gone ahead and added Chrome OS to Template:OS/switch. If you want to change the image used, feel free to do so. --Dllis (talk) 14:36, 4 July 2020 (UTC)

ok, can someone put it in then? --Minecraft loot (talk) 23:52, 5 July 2020 (UTC)

What on Earth is 1.14.30

Im pretty sure that does not exist and that it should be called 1.14.0 beta, 1.14.0 beta 1, or 1.14.0 build 1. If it does exist, please give a source. Humiebees (talk) 22:56, 2 July 2020 (UTC)

Minecraft Earth Content

I think it's a bit hard to navigate through Minecraft Earth content within this wiki.

  • Mobs that are available in the regular versions are not listed in the Minecraft Earth nav box
  • Same for blocks: Which blocks are currently in the game? We can only see the exclusive ones there.

There are different ways to change this and these two came to my mind:

  • We could create seperate nav boxes for Minecraft Earth blocks and entities. We could also add all existing blocks and entities into these boxes as soon as they are integrated into the game.
  • On the other hand... I don't think we should seperate MCE so much from the Java & Bedrock editions. It makes sense with Dungeons since it's a completely different game, but not so much with Earth since is technically just another version of regular Minecraft. It's build upon the Bedrock version too.

What do you think? --Mrbleistift (talk) 22:38, 16 July 2020 (UTC)

I agree with most of it but MCE is a completly different game, just becausecit runs on the bedrock codebase dosent mean it should me 'closer' to the bedrock edition.

The BumblebeeBee 22:44, 16 July 2020 (UTC)

The main gameplay on a build plate or during adventures is pretty much the same as regular Minecraft. That's what I wanted to point out. You build blocks, spawn creatures, collect items... It's kinda survival, adventure and creative mode all in one. A lot of ingame features work the same way in MCE and regular Minecraft. Yes, we got AR, the world map, seasons and stuff, but in the core it's still the Minecraft we all know. Compared to that, MCD is completely different in terms of gameplay and style. I did not meant to say "It's the exact same game" but the core is the same. Sorry for being unclear at first. --Mrbleistift (talk) 07:49, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
Well yes, gameplay is somewhat similar but there are many big differences such as mobs (theres like 40 of them??? Style, very different and earth is specificly mobile and the feel of the game is more different than even dungeons. so yeah The BumblebeeBee 17:53, 17 July 2020 (UTC)

Change version numbers

can u change version number for gear vr, win 10 mobile, and fire mobile, for gear vr and win 10 mobile, it got the outdated message, and for fire mobile and win 10 mobile (again) they got the mobile bug fix.
