This year[]

2015? That means... Minecraft Story Mode will be released...this year...!-- 06:04, 21 March 2015 (UTC)

Yes, the game is expected to be released in an episodic structure, with the first episode being released this year, but no formal announcement has been made on when it will be released. BDJP (t|c) 13:19, 21 March 2015 (UTC)

Anyone knows if the game will be translated? I'm Eugenio "Ryo567" Martínez, the Spanish proofreader of Minecraft at Crowdin.com and I want to translate this edition too. If anyone knows what must I do to contact with Telltale or Mojang and translate the game, please tell me. Regards! --Ryo567 (talk) 16:23, 4 July 2015 (UTC)

The page doesn't say anything about translation, though it may happen in the future. The BlobsPaper.png 16:48, 4 July 2015 (UTC)

Erroneous spelling[]

Magnus is a rogue, most certainly, not an item of makeup intended for making one's cheeks rosy. I would absolutely fix this myself but can't be bothered to make an account. 11:02, 14 July 2015 (UTC)

Fixed. -BDJP (t|c) 12:42, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
I'm not the original thread poster, but also the character "Lukas" a.k.a. "Blonde Guy" is officially spelt with a "K", not "C" for the more common "Lucas". -- 08:51, 15 November 2016 (UTC) (edited by -- 16:04, 19 November 2016 (UTC))

Steam release / preorder, and trailer dates[]

Hi User:BDJP007301, I think that the information about the Steam release and pre-order is actually not 'superfluous,' as it's not stated anywhere else in the article. Also I see that lines about the July 4 trailer and the Oct 1 trailer are deleted whenever they are added to the Development section as 'irrelevant' – seems actually very relevant to put dates to these trailers. So I was hoping you could clarify what was superfluous about the one thing, and what was irrelevant about the other thing? Sorry that it wasn't immediately obvious to me ... – Sealbudsman talk/contr 14:52, 2 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi User:BDJP007301, haven't heard from you yet – "superfluous" means (because it appears you are using the word to mean something other than what it means) that something is unnecessary because it's already stated. For instance the one about supported languages, that was useful and not superfluous. – Sealbudsman talk/contr 15:43, 3 October 2015 (UTC)

Trivia addition[]

Just wanted to add a note that the title for the first chapter is taken from the original title of Minecraft, "Minecraft: Order of the Stone." 06:31, 14 October 2015 (UTC)

May I make multiple pages about minecraft : story mode (character status/ episodes)?[]

hi, i was wondering if i could make pages of story mode so that people will know info about the characters and episode plots. similar to the walking dead wiki. green for a character is alive, blue; unknown, red; dead, purple; determinant. for more info, look up the walking dead wiki and all its character status. 17:44, 16 October 2015 (UTC)

Don't add those pages, there are wikis of that game. (the official wiki is minecraftstorymode.wikia.com but there are also duplicate wikis of the game as well.) -- 04:13, 25 November 2016 (UTC) (edited by -- 04:15, 25 November 2016 (UTC), sorry for duplicate links)

Episode 7: Access Denied[]

Can someone update the page to include the plot summary for Episode 7: Access Denied? - 12:19, 28 July 2016 (UTC)

Anyone? - 18:27, 28 July 2016 (UTC)
If you have a source for a plot summary, could you provide it? Otherwise someone has to play the episode, and write it up. – Sealbudsman talk/contr 18:47, 28 July 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm the one who usually writes up the plot for each episode. I'll get it up when I can. -BDJP (t|c) 19:28, 28 July 2016 (UTC)

A reminder[]

Just wanted to say that I'm not going to be posting the plot for Episode 8 until after MineCon becuase of the heightened possibility of it being shown there. -BDJP (t|c) 19:48, 7 September 2016 (UTC)

Can someone add episode 8 for story mode? Thanks!

MCSM Season 1 Page Proposal[]

This page is getting too cluttered, and Season 2 is coming out soon, so I propose moving all Season 1 info to Minecraft: Story Mode - Season OneNixinovaBook and Quill.png Diamond Pickaxe.png Map (item).png • 05:41, 8 June 2017 (UTC)

Weak oppose - The game is simply not called that. I'll be fine with including it in the article however if a source can be found of a Telltale employee stating it as such, just like the Wikipedia article for The Walking Dead. -BDJP (t|c) 09:09, 8 June 2017 (UTC)

What the heck is that and why is it showing up at the top of the page? It is very annoying. Nixinova Book and Quill.png Diamond Pickaxe.png Map (item).png 19:53, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

A vandal moved the page to that and I moved it back. Unfortunately, it's stuck there and can't be removed (I don't think move revisions can be "deleted"). -BDJP (t|c) 20:22, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
Log entries can be hidden, but this requires a bureaucrat. Sonicwave fixed the issue by unprotecting and re-protecting. Also, I removed the long text on the talk page because it's annoying and really serves no purpose. --AttemptToCallNil (report bug, view backtrace) 20:43, 13 February 2019 (UTC)

I propose to merge to following articles into this article:

Minecraft: Story Mode/EP1

Minecraft: Story Mode/EP2

Minecraft: Story Mode/EP3

Minecraft: Story Mode/EP4

Minecraft: Story Mode/EP5

Minecraft: Story Mode/EP6

Minecraft: Story Mode/EP7

Minecraft: Story Mode/EP8

I don't think every episode needs its own article, and this article already includes detailed information about all the episode, so these articles are completely unnecessary.

Same applies to:

Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two/EP1

Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two/EP2

Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two/EP3

Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two/EP4

Minecraft: Story Mode - Season Two/EP5

I don't think you understand, each of those pages are loaded to this page using {{LoadPage}}. – Unavailablehoax (talk) 09:11, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

Where does Owen Jones appear in MCSM?[]

Saw this revision in my notifications and got curious. Does anyone know? Dlljs (talk) 19:07, 16 March 2021 (UTC)

He's the co-host at Endercon with Lydia. Yekulten (talk) 14:45, 27 August 2021 (UTC)

Duplicate name[]

I seem to have duplicated the name somehow when moving the page. How does one fix this? Yekulten (talk) 13:41, 27 August 2021 (UTC)

e.g. Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Earth, for the record. Only option at the point is that it'll have to be moved back, and then the layout will have to show the "Story Mode Wiki" stuff if and when it gets uploaded here. BDJP (t|c) 14:13, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
So I move it to "Minecraft Story Mode" under "Main" then move the subpages under "Minecraft Story Mode" with their appropriate titles? (The colin in the title isn't consistent with the other games and the namespace doesn't have it either.) Yekulten (talk) 14:43, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
Already taken care of. BDJP (t|c) 14:52, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
It is? I still see the colin and none of the subpages are under the namespace. Yekulten (talk) 15:08, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
all of the subpages of Minecraft: Story Mode are under "Minecraft: Story Mode/<PAGETITLE>". BDJP (t|c) 15:11, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
Sorry, I must have not been clear earlier. There is a new namespace (which we didn't have before) for Minecraft Story Mode. If the titles are to be under this they would be titled "Minecraft Story Mode:<PAGETITLE>" – Unsigned comment added by Yekulten (talkcontribs) at 15:16, 27 August 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~
I understand about the namespace, but as of now there is no way we can move this page and its subpages to the new namespace without having the title duplicated. For now it'll have to remain in the main namespace. BDJP (t|c) 15:20, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
I see a move template requesting the name be changed to Minecraft Story Mode:Season One. I strongly oppose this as this is an unofficial name. As for season two, I do support a move as it is similar to Minecraft Dungeons:Arcade (Minecraft Dungeons Arcade) Moved name would be Minecraft Story Mode: Season Two with a display page name saying the current title. Characters, Locations, Items, and Mobs Subsections[]

We should at least have the characters, locations, items, and mobs subsections as this is the main page of Minecraft: Story Mode. Wouldn't it be redundant to make another "main page"? Or should we do it anyways until we know how to put this page under the new namespace? Yekulten (talk) 15:47, 13 September 2021 (UTC)

I don't know if the idea has gotten to your head yet, but its basically already been decided that this page is not going to be placed under the MCSM namespace. Instead, we can link to the respective pages about the characters, locations, etc. by just inserting the links in the "Plot" and "Voice cast" sections. BDJP (t|c) 15:50, 13 September 2021 (UTC)
I only said it because of the protected page note: "this is until we can solve the problem regarding how we should move the two main MC:SM pages into the MC:SM namespace." Sorry for any annoyance, but it should probably be changed if it's no longer true. I'll link the pages as you stated. Yekulten (talk) 15:55, 13 September 2021 (UTC)
I still think subsections should be made to keep consistency across wikis and for better mobility across pages. There isn't a place to link the characters page or the mob page, and when the items and locations pages are created, those will have no place either. When the project page closes, many other pages will be left floating unless we utilize some kind of main page to link them to. We've worked (and are still working) hard on this wiki, and we don't want to leave it hanging, if you know what I mean. Yekulten (talk) 16:47, 13 September 2021 (UTC)
Strongly agree. It is inconsistent with the Minecraft page where it describes gameplay with links. Plus, the project will need a homepage like you said. Auften3 (talk) 16:50, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
