Merged Minecarts[]

Can someone please explain how to merge minecarts??? This section of the page is really unclear, but would be so helpful! CAROLINE 19:17, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

Minecarts are "merged" by having two of them exist in the exact same space. One of the easiest methods is using a dispenser to place two in the same space. KnightMiner t/c 21:46, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

I don't see "Type" in the entitydata. Only Motion, FallDistance, UUIDMost, Pos, UUIDLeast, Fire, Invulnerable, Air, OnGround, Dimension, PortalCooldown and Rotation. In the article it says there should be a "Type" tag, although I don't really see why it should there. There are already IDs for the different types. Fabian42 (talk) 19:23, 10 August 2016 (UTC)

That part was trying to communicate how it used to be, before 1.5. It's now all moved to the history section. Thanks, good catch! – Sealbudsman talk/contr 19:36, 10 August 2016 (UTC)

Where should this be put?[]

I discovered that if you make a rail configuration like this: -\____/- where the slants and upper blocks are powered rails, putting solid blocks like stone, wool, and ores past the end rail lets minecarts move back. Meanwhile, redstone components and transparent or non-full blocks stop the cart. I couldn't find a mention of this, so I wanted to put it out there. – Unsigned comment added by Ardsamurai (talkcontribs) at 15:46, 6 March 2021‎ (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~

I am not quite sure what you're getting at, but if you're trying to explain something about a specific configuration and not general behavior, it sounds to me like some sort of tutorial advice, and this isn't a tutorial article. Maybe Tutorials/Minecarts might be a better place? Amatulic (talk) 21:18, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
