Ido and possibly newer languages[]

I cannot find Ido in 1.10/1.10.2, I am pretty sure it was not added in that version. It is in 1.12 however (haven't checked if it was added in 1.11 or 1.12 or what snapshot). We also should check what other languages were added in 1.11 and 1.12. -Xbony2 (talk) 22:03, 24 July 2017 (UTC)

I found Shakesperean English appear in the menu. It wasn't there until two weeks ago, and I haven't been in the 1.13 snapshots. What's up with that? 08:30, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
I will look into this "Ido" language, but there is definitely a Shakespearean English option in the language list, in version 1.12.2. See the screenshot I was able to take:

I just checked, and Ido was definitely not added in 1.10.2, but it is definitely an option in 1.11. The only question now is which snapshot it was added in. For now though, I'm just going to chance the 1.10 to 1.11 on the language page. –Preceding unsigned comment was added by Madminecrafter12 (talkcontribs) at 23:41, 22 December 2017 (UTC). Man, shouldn't that upside-down English option be for Australia? =D ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 14:48, 23 December 2017 (UTC)

Outdated font[]

The font are outdated at 1.13 but I didn’t know how to update it. How to update the fonts? HaydenBobMutthew Talk 04:44, 25 July 2018 (UTC)

New language[]

So they've added Nuu-chah-nulth language recently. Only a few strings are translated (0%) so I don't know if they added it to the game. Waterrail (talk) 20:17, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

I just finished going through the language list and I haven't noticed it. I am sure a second look would be nice though (especially that I heard that file names are gonna change again today... thanks Grum for caring about not breaking modded games too much). --Hubry (talk) 20:13, 16 August 2018 (UTC)
Did you check them on Crowdin or in-game? As I said, they probably didn't add it yet :) Waterrail (talk) 20:17, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

There's Kazakh and Bavarian now.. Waterrail (talk) 13:27, 30 November 2018 (UTC)

Undid reason[]

@Cuervo: Here are references about Chinese:

  1. https://crowdin.com/translate/minecraft/9384/enus-zhcn#5159424
  2. https://crowdin.com/translate/minecraft/9384/enus-zhtw#5159424

Seriously, I thought you were one of Minecraft proofreader in Chinese, how did you forget about this? --Angrydog001議(Talk)/誌(Logs)/勛(Contribs) 18:33, 11 March 2019 (UTC)

You can keep your opinion.  CuervoTalk 11:20, 16 March 2019 (UTC)

Removing "added in" in Java Edition language table[]

Language updates are not tied to game versions and it's been like that for a while. Mojang still even keeps 1.13 files on Crowdin, so they could add a language now, update the translation files for 1.13 and a new language would be added to that version. If anything there should be a date of first implementation into Minecraft, or something like that, but it's pretty much impossible to go back and see when all the newer languages were added to the game.-- 15:42, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

Two new languages[]

Two new languages were added recently - Gothic and Bashkir. They need to be added to the list. Waterrail (talk) 22:57, 24 June 2019 (UTC)

Another two new languages[]

There were two languages added recently -- Interslavic and Andalusian, could someone look into that? Waterrail (talk) 12:18, 1 March 2020 (UTC)

Splitting font to a new section[]

Now in 20w17a, a font section has been added to the [text format]. It represents a custom Unicode Font available to the client and is not related to language.

I suggest moving this font into a separate font page. Current font page is a redirection to this page.

liach (talk) 18:14, 26 April 2020 (UTC)

I support the suggestion to move Fonts to its own page. (I am also unfamiliar with how to do so or under what conditions) Mincerafter42 (talk) 23:51, 14 July 2020 (UTC)

It partially have it own page - Glyphs, but i don't know much about it Xrup (talk) 23:10, 14 June 2021 (UTC)

I think fonts have enough information warranting a new page. The Bedrock version has its own Use unicode symbols such as a Minecoin, and there are code pages which should be represented here as a gameplay feature (symbols/alphabets useful for signs etc.). We would combine and centralize information from Glyphs, Resource Pack, here and the (currently missing) Microsoft sprite sheets. Ionface (talk) 22:32, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

Can somebody clarify that the font used in minecraft (excluding the logo) is MineCrafter? If so, please add it into the article

Some articles to back up clarification:

This is the signature of Headquarter8302 User page - User talk 02:31, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

The MineCrafter font is what the logo is written in, but the rest is Mojangles, it says so in BE.
Disagree This font was almost certainly made after Minecraft to resemble Minecraft's logo, so shouldn't be added to the article. Wow!Incredible23 (talk) 01:00, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
