What's the legend for this page?[]

Why are some Yes cells green and some blue? Why are some Yes cells in parenthesis? I can't see any reason for this -PancakeIdentity (talk) 18:27, 29 March 2019 (UTC)

Blue is obviously new in 1.14, while green is pre-1.14. User-12316399 (talk)
I was wondering the same thing. Blue doesn't make much sense for being new; I think green should be new and gray or something for "no change". – Nixinova   20:16, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
Blue's name is literally "upcoming", so that's why i chose it. - User-12316399 (talk) 20:24, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
Why are the green Yeses in parentheses? -PancakeIdentity (talk) 19:00, 30 March 2019 (UTC)
I agree with the others, the colors should change: green new yes, gray unchanged, red new no FVbico (talk) 19:08, 30 March 2019 (UTC)
Changed to what FVbico said, as I agree that it makes more sense, especially now that 1.14 has been released so it's no longer "upcoming". I've also added a description of the color scheme, to make it clear to readers.--Madminecrafter12 (Talk to me | View what I've done) 16:42, 2 June 2019 (UTC)

Pistons[]

I've been working on testing with pistons, and oh boy, are they complicated. Behavior is different when powered or unpowered, as is the 'pop-off' behavior. This page isn't really built to document this level of complexity as it is. Any suggestions for what to do?

As for my findings (just for top placement as of now):

  • Only changes to placement when unpowered are that buttons can now be placed on pistons
  • When powered, blocks can still be placed on upwards and downwards facing pistons. In 1.13.2, none can be placed on sideways pistons. In 1.14 pre-1, only torches and pressure plates can.
  • Obviously, all blocks pop off when an upward facing piston is powered.
  • In 1.13.2, all blocks pop off when sideways pistons are extended.
  • In 1.13.2 and 1.14 pre-1, all blocks pop off when downwards facing pistons are retracted.
  • In 1.14 pre-1, torches and pressure plates pop off when sideways pistons are retracted. All others pop off when extended.

Shulker boxes are also pretty complex. I won't bother explaining, but yeah, we should figure out a way to present these more complicated changes. -PancakeIdentity (talk) 01:13, 11 April 2019 (UTC)

Just general changes to keep things clean[]

Should we combine things that have the same changes? For example, beacons and sea lanterns are the same. Should we combine these types of things to help make the page cleaner? -PancakeIdentity (talk) 03:54, 11 April 2019 (UTC)

Between 1.13 and 1.14[]

Which things on the table changed between 1.13 and 1.14? Which things stayed the same? an_awsome_person (talk) 01:54, 30 May 2019 (UTC)
