Item Selection List is too long[]

That really needs to be a table. --user:Knowitall 23:27, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

Even better: I updated the list to a collapsible table. - Asterick6 (talk) 03:20, 5 June 2012 (UTC)

does anybody know why the inventory labels lighten up when cobble or wood is out of the inventory? –Preceding unsigned comment was added by (Talk) 00:48, 9 July 2012. Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Isn't it lapis lazuli an item in the creative mode? In that list I only found the ore and the block. 20:58, 27 January 2014 (UTC)

OK, I answer myself here... It's on the dyes page. 21:19, 27 January 2014 (UTC)

having inventory bar reappear on Mac[]

Hello, I have Minecraft on Mac and accidentally hit some button that caused the inventory/health bar at the bottom of the screen to disappear. Does anybody know how to get this back? Thanks. –Preceding unsigned comment was added by (Talk) 21:49, 18 September 2012‎ (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

If you press f3+b (to see hitboxes) when you look in inventory mode, your hitbox will be above you.

Just to show you this bug :) 19:56, 25 June 2013 (UTC)

Bug list[]

Can someone test the bugs from the list to see if they are still relevant to the current minecraft version? KnightMiner (talk) 18:19, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

Shouldn't the information on the fist be on Heads-up display, as it is part of the HUD, not the inventory? KnightMiner (t·c) 04:42, 14 January 2015 (UTC)

Idea for creative inventory[]

Make a table that represents all tabs of creative inventory. Possibly could be made with Lua or something like that. First row of Building blocks tab would look like this (made from this image):

Bricks JE5 BE3.png Building blocks

and so on... –Preceding unsigned comment was added by Andrybak (talkcontribs) at 15:06, 18 January 2015 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

  1. Using "Image:" as a prefix in file links is deprecated. Use "File:" instead.

  3. I personally do find it somewhat useful, but it can be resource-intensive, especially on mobile. But we need more people to discuss this (Majr, Orthotope, Dinoguy1000, Anomie x, KnightMiner, LauraFi and ToonLucas22).

I like the idea. –LauraFi - talk 15:54, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
I’ll Lua’fy it in some moments. Experience of making [[Module:Naista2002/DropsTable]] will help me. Sandbox will be at ru:Модуль:Участник:NickTheRed37/Nova, result will be on ru:Участник:NickTheRed37/Песочница/Гамма#Содержимое инвентаря в Творчестве. I’m Nick the Red37, a ru.wiki mod (fka Naista2002) (talk) 16:27, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
...fail. The grids are displayed as the code used to add them (edit: in my sandbox), instead of the actual grids. But I don’t see where exactly the problem is. I’m Nick the Red37, a ru.wiki mod (fka Naista2002) (talk) 16:57, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
Lua does not phrase templates, either you must use the lua function to called the template, or if available called the module directly. KnightMiner (t·c) 00:42, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
I personally don't see the point, as the information is already stated in the current tables, and a more complicated table using grids would not only take up more space, but would be complicated to create. Also, using {{Inventory slot}} would disable the search feature on the tabs, disallowing someone to quickly check if a block is within the creative inventory. KnightMiner (t·c) 22:19, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
That's not really needed, because it's not really going to be useful, and it would hog up almost the whole page, probably making the host go down after attempting to sumbit an edit after the addition of these tables. --ToonLucas22 (talk) 00:07, 19 January 2015 (UTC)

Recipe Book[]

This page doesn't have any information of the recipe book, which is a drastic change introduced in 1.12. – NixinovaBook and Quill JE2 BE2.png Diamond Pickaxe JE3 BE3.png Map (item) JE2 BE2.png • 05:52, 1 June 2017 (UTC)

On PE 1.2 The inventory changed. Include pic and put it on 'history' heading. --MishMoshKeel21 (talk) 11:00, 24 September 2017 (UTC)

Oh yeah, I will (eventually) update the picture with the new Pocket-Inventory. – ItsPlantseed|⟩ 12:02, 24 September 2017 (UTC)

The layout changed again in 1.2.5, mostly (I'd wager) to answer reasonable objections from Xbox One users. If they're satisfied, it may be stable enough now to update this section.

However, I question the usefulness of these collapsible lists of items, which need to be completely revised now. I can see them being used by a reader to identify an unknown block and link to its page to learn about it, but the list form doesn't seem ideal for this purpose. It would be so much better in the form of a sprite sheet laid out as the UI itself is, and wouldn't need to be collapsible in that form. Is that even possible? If so, would ItsPlantseed be willing to do it, assuming you agree? --– Auldrick (talk · contribs) 17:05, 22 November 2017 (UTC)

Oh gosh, I'm sorry it's been 2 months with no answer. Yes I like that idea but I'm not exactly sure how's that gonna work. Unfortunately, I cannot do that right now, and I left the image outdated as the developers still changing the UI on each update. – ItsPlantseed|⟩ 16:00, 11 March 2018 (UTC)

Brewing Stand GUI Image[]

What's up with the image for the brewing stand? It currently appears darker compared to every other image. --Whatausername64 (talk) 15:41, 22 April 2018 (UTC)

Crafting grid in old versions[]

Someone is currently playing "alpha 1.1.0" and noticed that items in the crafting grid stay when closing the inventory and even relogging. Together we figured out that those slots have the IDs 80 to 83, in LTR reading order. Maybe that could be mentioned in some kind of history section. But I don't know in which version those slots were added and in which removed again. Fabian42 (talk) 11:06, 5 March 2021 (UTC)

If you look at the history section, this is mentioned in the section of Beta 1.0: "Items placed in the crafting grid are now dropped simultaneously when the inventory is closed." This should be an indication of the inventory slots you mentioned being removed. So as long as you can make sure your statements are accurate, you are welcome to make some changes. Windwend (talk) 18:07, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
That sounds to me as if it was dropped differently before, not not at all. I am reasonably sure, because someone uploaded a part of the world save, I looked at it in NBTExplorer and the item IDs match a screenshot from that person. I added the ID numbers to the history section now. Not sure if they should be somewhere else as well, Java Edition data values/Classic has no slot IDs. Fabian42 (talk) 18:17, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
Your observation is absolutely correct though, a few months ago I was playing Alpha 1.1.2_01, in which version if you place items in the 2 by 2 crafting grid, they stay there. The sentence I was talking about should have an emphasis on "dropped", not on "simultaneously". Windwend (talk) 18:29, 5 March 2021 (UTC)

creative search section[]

What is the order blocks appear in the search menu in creative inventory (both versions but i was specifically looking for the java edition)? Does that take up too much space to fit in this page? We can put that info in a subpage -VexTheVexian (talk) 18:29, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
