Can Jean the Enderdragon destroy these? 75.196.95.187 15:02, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
- No, only Billiam the Enderdragon can. It's his secret move. 208.102.239.209 16:01, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
- Ha ha ha. Notch has named the Enderdragon Jean, and I was asking if the game's only boss mob can break these. No need for sarcasm. 50.125.28.236 16:59, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
- EDIT: CONFIRMED. Jean can, oddly, destroy these. 50.125.28.236 17:57, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

Multiplayer
Does anyone know how these chests react in smp? do they have different contents for each player, like the piggy bank in terraria, or do they have different slots for each player? --204.14.13.53 16:09, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
- Every Ender Chest has the same contents for everyone. –ultradude25 (T|C) at 16:18, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
- yeah just saw that on the page right after i posted that... too bad it makes the chest almost useless in multiplayer --173.67.190.20 19:19, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
- Awesome, now two players can trade with each other when they're far away. Great feature. 2.218.21.243 12:45, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
Origin
Should it be noted that the Ender Chest was suggested by the user soapawake on reddit? [1]
About the mod.
Where does Jeb mention that he got the idea from a mod? Because I think this is just another act in the play "omg mojang steals all mods and never credits anyone!!11!11oneeleven". They don't. It's just that there are three billion mods out there, and if Jeb implemented crafting grass blocks with dirt and seeds for example, 300 people would say "omg but i made this mod u stole my idea!!". Do you see how stupid this is? --87.122.138.11 20:57, 24 May 2012 (UTC) Edit: This is all I could find. You can mention this. jeb_/status/205307552941088768 --87.122.138.11 21:00, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
Portable Storage
I can see it now; no longer will peoples inventories be filled with junk, they will just have a Ender chest on them, and place there goodies in them, and recollect it and take it back out in there base. Portable inventory!!!

HEY MOJANG!
You should reeeally give credit to the guys who made the Ender Chest mod. You probably got the name, idea, and part of the texture from them. I would be angry.
- Who exactly do you think you're talking to? -- Dagmar d'Surreal 03:51, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
double Enderchests?
If there are double chests... Then wouldnt there be double enderchests?
pogoman122 12:39, 25 May 2012 (CTZ)
- It's like that on purpose to balance the chests. Also how would it even work? If you place a single chest while also having a double chest, you won't be able to access half of the chest. –ultradude25 (T|C) at 18:11, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
Intentionally Beneficial Drawback?
Maybe the reason the Chests are not player specific is to allow trade of the newly introduced emeralds. This could allow trading within online communities, and possibly even economies to come into being on large servers.
storage file
anybody knows in which file the content is stored?
- ok, found it by myself, its in the level.dat so there should be one enderchest for every world, if you use multiworld in smp.
Clarification
"By default, each server has one persistent Ender Chest inventory. This means that the player can not create or find an Ender Chest utilizing a different inventory of items than another."
Can anyone explain that last sentence to me? It appears a bit pronoun-vague... Dangercrow 17:10, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
There is only one Ender Chest inventory for the entire server. There is no vanilla way to crease a second Ender Chest inventory. Hope that clears it up :D LightRod 5 June 2012 (UTC)
Just wondering...
What would happen if you climbed inside an Ender Chest? #obviouslytrolling 121.210.141.176 08:21, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
Obsidian
It would seem that in SMP, Obsidian can't be transferred via Ender Chests. thought I'd note it. --68.126.184.18 07:50, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
