Landing

I'm not sure it's 1 damage per landing. Anybody with some insight? – Sealbudsman talk/contr 20:30, 7 October 2015 (UTC)

As far as I can tell, they get damaged more if you run into the ground at an angle. Needs more testing though. —Fenhl 20:33, 7 October 2015 (UTC)

Unbreaking.

OK, so I've got a little confusion about the Unbreaking Enchantment when it's used on the Elytra. The confusion stems from the fact that, although the Elytra is applied in an armor slot (specifically the Chest plate slot), it really doesn't seem to function the same way as armor. That of course meaning, it doesn't seem to give any armor points like a piece of armor would, and it's durability handled differently than armor, and that's if you don't count the loss of durability at a rate of 1 point per second. So, the question is, how is the Unbreaking Enchantment, given all the above, handled by the Elytra? That meaning that, since its applied through an armor slot, does it follow the same durability as armor when using the Unbreaking Enchantment, or, since its not technically a form of armor, (as it doesn't supply any defense points or even use any form of a protection Enchantment), does it handle Unbreaking as say, a pickax would? That is the question, does it treat Unbreaking as if it were armor, or does it treat Unbreaking as if it were a tool? I know that armor treats Unbreaking differently than tools, so I was just wondering, and I think a lot of people are wondering this too. I personally think that this kind of information should be added to the wiki page as soon as possible, as the current page only lists that it can receive Unbreaking, but doesn't state how Unbreaking affects durability. If somebody could test this, and confirm how Elytra treat the Unbreaking Enchantment, then it should be added to the wiki as soon as possible. Thank you. I hope I worded this right, but correct me if I'm wrong. Brickticks (talk) 17:23, 12 October 2015 (UTC)

From play testing, it appears closer to the tool type of Unbreaking, where it lasts on average (Level+1) times as long, as opposed to the armor type of Unbreaking. – Sealbudsman talk/contr 17:58, 12 October 2015 (UTC)
Looking at the code, that appears to be correct. Anomie x (talk) 02:11, 13 October 2015 (UTC)

Cape Skined Elytra

There has been a bit of misunderstanding, about the Elytra taking the skin of the of a cape. This feature is not yet in the game. Its not in the Snapshots yet. Perhaps others like me got confused and thought that the Elytra just wasn't working correctly; or thought they were doing something wrong. This section is just to clarify for those with capes and I'll delete it later when the feature is indeed added in the snapshots. Laige 20:36, 16 October 2015 (UTC)

Hitbox?

What are the dimensions of the hit-box of a player wearing the Elytra?, does it vary depending on wing position? this seems like it would be an important piece of information for this page
