Section for more in-depth info[]

Should we add a section where we further cover gamerules with some more complex behaviors/quirks? Like, maybe it could include what is affected by randomTickSpeed. Or how disableRaids handles existing raids. That type of info. Does it belong here? Should we add it? -PancakeIdentity (talk) 18:42, 14 June 2019 (UTC)

Sure. These command pages really need more content on them. – Nixinova Nixinova sig1 Nixinova sig2 19:39, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
Alright, I went ahead and added a very bare-bones section. It definitely needs work. -PancakeIdentity (talk) 21:00, 14 June 2019 (UTC)

Bedrock Tick Speed[]

Isn't the default tickspeed on bedrock 1? -45.33.141.19 07:53, 8 August 2019 (UTC)

IDK How maxEntityCramming negative value behavior?[]

I don't know how the game rule maxEntityCramming set to the negative value, the behavior is? 184.22.108.199 04:43, 28 December 2019 (UTC)

Thank you for your information! It said for "Setting to 0 disables the rule.". Negative values also disables the maxEntityCramming game rule, too! 184.22.108.112 07:55, 5 February 2020 (UTC)

Alternatives for non-existent game rules?[]

Some bedrock-present game rules are not in java edition, but many of them have equivalents. Command blocks and pvp are controlled by server properties, can place on/can destroy is handled in item stack nbt, show coordinates is handled by reduced debug info. Would be nice to inform people that there are alternative for some rules exclusive to bedrock. Asking here since I am not very sure how would this be presented if we are to add these info. liach (talk) 04:55, 18 July 2020 (UTC)

Functionality of randomTickSpeed when negative[]

The description of the randomTickSpeed gamerule states that "0 disables random ticks" here and references that it needs testing. I can confirm that as of 1.16.1, if randomTickSpeed is a non-positive integer, the gamerule will be disabled entirely. I used source code from my local, paid copy of Minecraft to confirm this. I cannot confirm this for BE. SizableShrimp (talk) 19:36, 14 August 2020 (UTC)

Splitting this page between Game rule and Commands/gamerule[]

Should we split this page? Blockofnetherite Talk Contributions 18:14, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

Support. As the 1.16 menu sets gamerules, while this is just a command, it would be good to have two separate pages Blockofnetherite Talk Contributions 18:14, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
 Support. I support this change. --SizableShrimp🦐 (talk · contribs) 10:05, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
Support, the game rule menu is arguably more accessible than the command format (and therefore more likely to be searched). If I'm not mistaken, you could also edit gamerules through a menu on Bedrock edition for a while now. –Sonicwave talk 23:36, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
Support, maybe use Game rules instead? 146.255.183.52 02:15, 29 August 2020 (UTC)
Per style guide, no, the pages should generally be singular in names. Dhranios (talk) 13:09, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

Support, I think we can go ahead and start splitting, the idea is completely uncontroversial and would only make it more consistent with other game elements. Dhranios (talk) 13:08, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
