Merge with Sculk Sensor Page[]
Because these two blocks use the exact same mechanics apart from CSS being calibratable their pages should be merged so as to not have to repeat redundant info. Batbrain1998 (talk) 00:41, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
I personnally Support this change. --MetalManiacMc, French Minecraft Wiki Administrator 06:04, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
- Strong Oppose If you check the crafting recipe, this item is crafted from Sculk Sensor, so it would be just weird to have information about this block on a merged page.
- And while the mechanics are similar, calirated sensor can be more controled and the actions for signal power are completely different. That type of chaos is a chaos we definetely don't need --TreeIsLife (talk) 06:23, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
- The changes for vibration signals are universal, changed for both SS and CSS. Also the difference between getting the two blocks would be easily explainable. "Unlike sculk sensors, calibrated sculk sensors cannot be obtained in the world or from sculk catalysts. They can only be crafted. (crafting diagram)" Batbrain1998 (talk) 11:58, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
- Strong Oppose I don’t think pages should be merged unless they function identically. Calibrated sculk sensors have an entire layer of functionality that sculk sensors do not have. It’s not like we have a limit on how many pages we can make anyway. Harristic (talk) 11:13, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
- Worth noting that iron doors share a page with wooden doors even though they don't function identically. The additional layer of functionality CSS have is based on mechanics SS already have and are present on its page (vibration comparator signals), so it wouldn't be that obtrusive to add the CSS-specific stuff. And yes, we can use as many pages as we want, but it's good form to keep things compact if possible, and people who want to know about sensors and vibrations probably don't want to have to flick between two different pages. - Weak support This one is almost identical to the normal type, except that it allows filtering of vibrations. I would be fine with it being separate as it is now. But most of the description would be duplicated with the one for the Scurk Sensor. I think that would be waste. --Pneuma01 (talk) 18:33, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
- Weak oppose: I think that for the end user who reads this wiki, the information may be more accessible and understandable if the information is kept split as it is. About iron doors, they are different from this as they just cannot be opened directly by the player, and have more hardness, but otherwise they are the same than their wooden counterparts. However, for calibrated sensors, they work more as a redstone comparator, but for vibrations. They can filter specific signals and listen only to the specific frequency, which have different redstone uses than the regular sensors. Whether this may be for a tutorial or for some tip being included on the page. I wouldn't really mind a merge, but I slightly oppose per the reasons I mention. --Supeika (talk) 02:00, 25 March 2023 (UTC)
