Question
As of 21w11a it doesn't seem the block of amethyst can be obtained or mined even with silk touch. I assume this is a bug as it isn't listed as a feature anywhere. 82.41.118.165 18:05, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- Are you using a wooden/stone pickaxe? They can only be obtained using an iron pickaxe or above.Humiebeetalk contribs 19:12, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
It seems that as of the official 1.17 release, a block of amethyst can be mined with any pickaxe, not just an iron or better Cewlboi123 (talk) 22:07, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, I noticed that too. I was able to break a block of amethyst with a wood pickaxe. I'm going to correct the page and see if I can find any more info on when it was changed. Greenpepperpasta (talk) 05:13, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
