Split into Stripe Lands - discussion[]
Personally I think that Stripe Lands should be be considered a distance effect, as their existence is due to floating point breakdown and not terrain generation issues. - User-12316399 (talk) 16:38, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
- @User-12316399: It does not belong on this page. However, there is more to the Stripe Lands than could be reasonably documented on the Distance effects in Bedrock Edition page. This is why I am proposing the split. The Blobs 17:32, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
- The stripe lands are hitbox calculation errors, and not terrain errors, so thay should be in their own article.--104.34.226.124 06:21, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
Villages??[]
I just saw a natural village in far lands. Test it. 188.120.87.87 08:16, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, villages generate in the Far Lands. I am pretty sure this page already says that. The Blobs 16:27, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
Bedrock on a 360[]
From the latest edit, of which I removed (and was reverted: " * If playing Bedrock Edition on an Xbox 360, the traditional Far Lands generate, unlike on Xbox One." I'm not sure this is correct, as Bedrock edition has never and will never be on Xbox 360. Can someone confirm?
- I personally cannot confirm this, but a friend told me he plays Minecraft on a 360, and he showed me a picture of the traditional Far Lands. The Blobs 18:06, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
- You can't even play bedrock edition on xbox 360 so why is that even there???
- On the Xbox 360, it is very easy to transfer saves or even convert old Java worlds so that you can play them on a 360. Your friend has most likely used this to show you an "authentic" picture of 360 Far Lands. 66.172.206.71 16:23, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

Merge with two Java articles[]
This page talks about the Bedrock Edition Far Lands. I propose that the pages discussing the Java far lands be merged with this page. Doing so will eliminate confusion as to what this page actually refers to. (Pages: Far_Lands/Java_Edition_before_Beta_1.8 and Far_Lands/Java_Edition) SWinxyTheCat (talk) 17:37, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
- Those pages used to be merged, but we decided that they are too different. Also, the Far Lands currently only exist in Bedrock Edition. There is a dablink at the top to clarify this. The Blobs 04:43, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
- Strong oppose as they were split for a reason. - User-12316399 (talk) 14:44, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose, however, I propose the following moves: Far Lands to Far Lands (Bedrock Edition), Far Lands/Java Edition to Far Lands (Java Edition) and corresponding subpages. The Far Lands page should be a disambiguation page, as neither edition's Far Lands page should be the primary article. Fadyblok240 (talk) 01:49, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
- The thing is that Bedrock should be the primary article, since it is the only codebase that currently has the Far Lands. The Blobs 21:23, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
- That is true, but the Java Edition Far Lands were the first to be introduced, and since only one article can be primary, the Far Lands page should describe neither, but should be a disambiguation page. However, consensus might disagree.--Fadyblok240 (talk) 03:36, 10 July 2020 (UTC)

I think we can end it, as now, Far lands changed once more. There was no support, so we can close as not done. --TreeIsLife (talk) 12:00, 11 July 2020 (UTC)
Skygrid[]
Since skygrid not generating in overworld in 1.16 but is it beta but 1.16 is still generating skygrid in overworld using official versions but beta not. I test it 1.16.20 official that skygrid generates but in 1.16.20.54 beta skygrid did not generating in overworld. Justin LRT (talk) 02:21, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
- True, I tested it on mobile, strangely, some worlds have a skygrid while others have none.Humiebee (talk) 02:23, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
That's a thing?[]
I never knew that was a thing.
Changes in the skygrid area.[]
In the new Bedrock Edition beta 1.16.230.56, when you go to the area between the Edge Far Lands which the skygrid once generates, it now generates a stack of islands instead of the nothingness. On the negative coordinates where the skygrid also was once generates it now generates an elevated island or plains. Slardna (talk) 00:02, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
Generation of Nothingness[]
Why terrain disappears in X/Z -12550824? It is supposed to generate Far Lands, because in X/Z +12550824, Far Lands generate.
I removed the Far Lands patch in Java Edition 1.2.5, there were no things such as "nothingness" and "skygrid". Just the Edge and Corner Far Lands generated as normal.
About Corner Far Lands: Why Corner Far Lands becomes skygrid? In Java Edition 1.2.5, the Corner Far Lands generated as normal. Umucraft (talk) 07:27, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
I also tried in 1.12.2, there were no things such as "nothingness" and "skygrid". In both 1.2.5 and 1.12.2, the terrain was generated as it is supposed to be. There was normal terrain, Far and Farther Lands.
What is the difference between Java and Bedrock Edition world generation? Umucraft (talk) 13:21, 19 December 2022 (UTC)
Interwikis[]
Is there any reason why this page does not contain interwikis? There are indeed Far Lands in other languages.

- There are 13 interwikis linked. – Magiczocker (talk) 04:47, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
Pillager Outposts???[]
