Deletion?[edit]

So, as we all know, Bedrock update numbering is sometimes really different from Java one, like skipping 1 version. Or developing 1.16.100, while releasing 1.16.20,... So, till confirmation it will be 1.17.0,should this page be deleted? Or redirected to Caves & Cliffs? --TreeIsLife (talk) 18:52, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

Comment They skipped 1.15.x because they wanted to synchronize with Java, so since the versions are already synchronized, I make a logical sense that 1.17.x won't be skipped. I know they are still developing 1.16.100 but it is considered a minor update like 1.16.2 Blockofnetherite Talk Contributions 19:03, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
@Blockofnetherite: And 1.3.0? Why they skipped that? --TreeIsLife (talk) 19:31, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
Unknown, probably just to cleanup version numbers after releasing on many platforms. Anyway, Bedrock version numbers should be the same as Java now, so Caves & Cliffs would be 1.17.  Nixinova T  C   19:36, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
Still not confirmed. But ok, for now, just i keep redirect. --TreeIsLife (talk) 19:40, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
"Starting with 1.16, the version number will be the same for both java and bedrock" ~BE 1.16 page's trivia section. 189.234.26.99 02:21, 5 October 2020 (UTC)
Well, 1.16 is the Nether update... so we should call 1.17 the caves&cliffs update. We should name all the updates to the proper name. Jeb&NotchAreTheBest90 (talk) 21:35, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
Um i'm pretty sure that there are Java Edition 1.16 and Bedrock Edition 1.16.0 pages. James Haydon (talk) 21:38, 4 February 2021 (UTC)

Remove Transclusion[edit]

With the release of Bedrock Edition beta 1.16.200.52, goats, goat horns, and powder snow was added. Thoughh these are in experimental gameplay, this means that these features will not be newly introduced in Bedrock Edition 1.17.0 but will only exit experimental gameplay, Java Edition 1.17 can stay as a transclusion as nothing changes there but since the bedrock changes are more extreme, we should remove the translusion and change the other features.---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 21:31, 28 October 2020 (UTC)

Also, the Unconfirmed features section should be removed as it says planned for Java Edition, and there is no corrolation to Bedrock Edition.---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 21:33, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
The release of 20w45a causes even more differences.---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 21:28, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
Support, but only for Java Edition 1.17, which would become a page for the snapshots, like normal version pages. I  Oppose removing translusion for Bedrock Edition 1.17.0, since there are no development versions for it, technically. – Unavailablehoax (talk) 21:40, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
Ok but what about now. I have turned the Caves & Cliffs page into a page similar to Nether Update but this is unfitting for this article.Humiebeetalk contribs 21:59, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
Oppose These features should at least be mentioned, even if the way they are mentioned only says that they exit experimental gameplay in 1.17.0. I'm fairly certain that this is consistent with the Village & Pillage development pages, which are essentially a more extreme version of what is happening now. Additionally, none of the Caves & Cliffs features behind experimental gameplay in the 1.16.200 betas were added in the final version, which implies that the developers are saving implementation for 1.17.0. Unless we learn something that contradicts this, it is extremely likely that these features will not be added until that update. Either way, these features should at least be mentioned on this page, even if that mention is something like "removed from experimental gameplay. Changed behavior A."PegasusDust (talk) 23:09, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
My suggestion would be to at least add these features under changes, even if they do not show up under additions. If goats and the other features are added in an update before 1.17.0, this can easily be changed. Currently, goats + have only been added in experimental gameplay behind beta versions, which means that the most extreme way to deal with them would be to imitate the Bedrock Edition Village and Pillage pages. Completely removing these features from this page is not consistent with previous posts. However, I do agree that changes to Java Edition should not be posted here and should be removed if they appear here. PegasusDust (talk) 01:13, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
1.17.0? I thought it was just 1.17? Jeb&NotchAreTheBest90 (talk) 21:38, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
Why did you think that? Bedrock has long had a different version naming system than Java. James Haydon (talk) 21:41, 4 February 2021 (UTC)

New beta[edit]

There is a new beta : https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/article/copper-and-lightning-rod-now-bedrock-beta With copper block and the lightning rod as well as copper ingot, copper ore, copper slab, the variant of the copper block, and the copper stairs. Thenomnom.v2 (talk) 00:16, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

So we should add those blocks and items Thenomnom.v2 (talk) 00:31, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
What is the copper generation like? I only copy-pasted the info from the Caves & Cliffs page. So what is the copper ore generation like in this new beta? Thenomnom.v2 (talk) 00:45, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
Never mind thatThenomnom.v2 (talk) 00:18, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
@Thenomnom.v2: There’s more blocks than that... even in the snapshots...(NEW) Jeb&NotchAreTheBest90 (talk) 21:37, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
That was an old discussion, pretty sure they added a lot of new blocks since then. James Haydon (talk) 21:44, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
